  • In this video Tanya, Cooper, and I explore Englebright Lake on our Sun Tracker Bass Buggy 18 DLX. This was our first time visiting this beautiful lake / river which is about an hour from our home. Tanya had prepared a special peach glaze for the chicken which she also put on her vegan sausage. We used the Kuuma 160 grill to cook everything on low, right on the back of the boat!! It was such a great day. 104 in the shade, but the water was a cool crisp 53 degrees!! Definitely going back to Englebright!!

    Ryan, I love watching all your video adventures on your Sun Tracker 18 with your lovely wife and dog Cooper. I have picked up some great tips from you and do believe this pontoon has changed your life. My wife and I are retired school teachers and we are getting ready to order the ST sportfish 22 XP3 with the 150 HP. We live in coastal North Carolina and will be using ours on the Intracoastal waterway and near ocean on calm days.We have done a lot of research and find the Sun Tracker line to be a great choice. Please keep making these great videos and stay safe.

    Love your videos and Cooper's story. My wife and I just picked up a 2021 Bass Buggy DLX. Haven't been able to take it out yet because of all the rain in southeast Louisiana. We are looking forward to following your family story--including Cooper.

      Congrats!! I'll be doing a video covering the BBQ setup in more detail. You can order the BBQ and pedestal from Home Depot's web site. We went with Kuuma 160 but they have different sizes available. Kuuma also makes the pedestal.

    Hey Ryan, I have enjoyed your videos on “Pontooning” I just recently purchased a 20’ DLX Fishin’ Barge and really like your cleaning table setup! Can you help me out with a make an model of yours and give some pointers on how you mounted it? I’d really like to mount it exactly like yours! Thank you in advance...

      I was hoping to make a detailed video on the table setup but the smoke here from the wildfires is terrible right now. What you can do is order a Magma Tournament Series fillet station/table in the size you want. I used a 34" table. It's pre-drilled on the bottom side for mounting, but the Magma stainless steel mounts are very expensive. If money is no object, go for those, otherwise I saved a lot by going with plastic Scotty mounts. Still very solid and sturdy. You'll need two Scotty 243 to attach to the rail. You'll also need two Scotty 368 to attach to the bottom side of the table. The 368 have rods that plug into the 243 making the table quick release. Only mod I had to do was drill out 4 of the closest matching holes on the 368 a little bigger so the bolts would line up with the table holes. You'll quickly see which 4 holes line up. I'll make a video as soon as the air clears up a bit but hopefully this helps in the meantime!

    Hey nice boat. What style/model gate latch do you have?

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The gate lifts up and swings into place where a metal bracket on the floor holds it, but there's also plastic latches on the top of the gate that hold it to the wall next to it. There's a plastic latch inside and out with rubber on them so the gate stays secure without rattling. These are the factory ones, I didn't change them at all.

    Been looking at pontoons most lakes around here are 20 horsepower limit was looking at suntracker 16 foot but thinking of the 18 foot after seeing yours

    • @ryan.vision
      @ryan.vision  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe the 18 is only available with 40, 60, and 75 hp. May want to double check that to see if you can get it with a 20.

    water levels drop quickly in reservoirs especially on hot days where they run electricity generation on max.... often goes back up same day. But be also careful with overnight stays where allowed. What anchor system do you use or comes with this? Have started eyeing these boats for family & friend entertainment.

      I found out the sand bar I was on was where two inlet rivers met and depending on the two separate dams flows, the level and even the current can quickly change. Good to know!! Plus the 3rd dam controlling outward flow. So much to learn haha. This is an awesome boat for family fun!! Right now I'm using a pretty standard style anchor with some heavy chain on it before the rope. It works well but sometimes I have to set it myself to make sure it won't drift. I'm currently in the market for some auger style anchors you twist into the the ground and hook a bungee rope to. Some folks run two of those, front and back, so they can control position and direction of the boat.

      @@ryan.vision Thanks... and these seem to hold their value pretty well. With lake season ending soon will look out for potentially someone wanting to offload before winter. But nothing beats new. Nice looking upgrades! How would you tow a tube? I was thinking about towing some kayaks to use at location.

      The boat is ready to go, just been busy with a few things at the new ranch property. Just about have things squared away enough that I can get some play time in. The plus side is, no more storage facility!! Boat is always ready to rock n roll now! The temps are right so we'll be out very soon!
