I actually use the Bob Omb Blitz quite often and I can pull it off well.
I like the meteor attack because you are guaranteed to get a random item if you successfully land/finish the attack
I mainly used it for the battle ring especially ring 7.
Not to mention it gives you Star Candies and ALSO that you will still get the item if you finish off the battle with the Mighty Meteor without an "Excellent!" hit.
The big problem with Bowser’s special attacks are how poorly they’re paced. You get Goomba Storm in Dimble Wood and get to use it against Wiggler. Then you get Shy Guy Squad which you get to use against Midbus. A good while later, you get the Koopa Corps. But the only boss you fight before getting your next attack is the Tower of Yikk, a giant boss. In Bowser’s Castle you get the Bomb-Omb Blitz, but you don’t get to use it because you fight another giant boss and then Bowser gets locked in the safe. When you finally get out you’re given yet another special attack, the Magikoopa Mob before reaching the next normal boss. And even then, by now you’re able to also unlock Broggy Bonker. So there’s no incentive to use literally half of Bowser’s special moves, because by the time you get around to fighting a boss you’ve already unlocked a stronger version
That’s true I didn’t think of that and that’s also a reason I might not have practice with attacks like the Koopa Corps or the Bob-omb Blitz
@Dr. Jake Filean those are all really good suggestions. I was upset when there wasn’t a boss gauntlet for Bowser before I realized that without including Dark Bowser or Broggy there’s not enough bosses for one. If we look at it there’s no normal boss at Blubble Lake, and there’s a whole area between the Tower of Yikk fight and the Wisdurm, so there’s definitely an opening for some sort of boss fight. It could also be nice to see him fight a boss in Bowser’s Castle, maybe a prelude to the Fawful express where you fight the Monty Moles in some sort of mech. Also I agree that Magikoopa Mob should be pushed up, it would give Bowser a genuine reason to use it against Blizzard Midbus. They could always make the final Blitty be some legendary Golden Blitty that doesn’t appear until after beating Blizzard Midbus, that could be neat. It could randomly move from area to area and would actually put up a fight when you try and inhale it
Maybe they could’ve made Yikk himself a boss for Bowser to fight. Maybe Yikk gets mad that Bowser wrecked his tower haha. That might’ve alleviated a tiny bit of the pacing problem
@@nicholasali3566 I like your ideas. They could’ve also done something funny and made the last Blitty hide instead Blizzard Midbus himself, therefore preventing you from abusing Broggy Bonker in that fight

I actually really love the Bros Attacks in SSS(except for fire bros in the original). I just love how quick and simple they are.

In 3ds:
- The ball works differently and has a finisher move.
- green shell has a finisher move (and is too easy)
- magic window is no longer infinite, but has a finisher where you have a double attack thrice for lots of dmg.
- snack basket has some little modifications (some food falls faster, and also there is a super food) but works the same.
I think this is definitely one of the rankings that I might specifically do for the remake
At least the food doesn’t come ridiculously fast in snack basket, it took some time to master it in the chakron fight
Oh yeah falling star gives out a heck ton of lag in the remake if your not using a New Nintendo 3ds/New 2DS and their XL types
I use only magic window after getting it purely because its infinite damage, why would I pass it up
You can also jump while using the Snack Basket in the 3DS version
3:38 disagree mighty meteor isn’t very useful in the main game, but it’s super useful in the 7th round the the challenge node. I would use it to take out the beginning bosses and then it would give me items to use later against bowser x.
I would in fact say its overpowered in that scenario because you can get star candies.
I know I’m late but there is one thing that the mighty meteor (for me at least) is amazing in…
The gauntlet!
You get so little items but the mighty meteor gives you items like max mushrooms, syrup jars, 1-up deluxe can even freaking star candies! And considering dark star X and especially bowser X have attacks that hurt and are hard to avoid. When your someone like me who does the gauntlet at lv 40 instead of the recommend lv 50. Those extra items will be a huge help.
(Also mighty meteor can give power down, which is helpful on the previously mentioned bosses)

I don't know if you know this already, but you don't need to have your stylus to touch the 3DS screen like a stylus would. 3DS screens are built differently than say, phone screens, so any old pen or pencil can do the trick. I find these work better than actual styluses because they aren't as flimsy and I grip pretty hard on styluses, just make sure you aren't getting pen ink or whatever on the screen when you're using them.
Otherwise, keep up the good work! I'll be watching more of these videos in the future.
I never tried that cause I didn't know what would damage the screen so that makes much more sense seeing that work
Well even a paintbrush or an eraser can do it thankfully because I lose my stylus a lot.
- If you want consistent results for Bob-Omb Blitz, I’d recommend lining up the Bob-Ombs with the enemies’ feet (if they have any, that is)
- All of the enemies in the Energy Hold except for the Peps actually have a weakness to fire, so the Fire Flower is pretty useful in that regard, and the Stonks in the Airway are also weak to fire
Fingers for the goomba mini game is impossible
The Bros/Minion attacks are quite mixed in this game. Might as well give my thoughts on it.
Bob-Omb Squad - I hate it too, but mainly because it's VERY hard to judge depth for a 2D Sprite. That and it requires a lot of speed.
Might Meteor - This attack is actually pretty good. I don't find it that hard and you get a free item, so I'm happy.
Goomba Squad - All problems you mentioned are how I feel, despite having a stylus.
Fire Flower - Such a stupid attack, the mashing is so awkward and doesn't respond to inputs for some reason.
Bouncer - The instructions were unclear for a long while with me. Didn't know I had to rotate Luigi and press B, so I don't exactly have enough experience to properly judge it.
Green Shell - It's pretty good, but weak. Eh.
Koopa Corpse - It requires high precision, but quite rewarding.
Spin Pipe - It takes a bit of practice, mainly because of how fast it spins.
Jump Helmet - Personally I feel that it's pretty weak and pretty awkward to control IMO, mainly thanks to Luigi's movement.
You-Who Cannon - One of my favourites. Easy, fun, fast and hits multiple targets.
Magikoopa Mob - Eh, I'm not a fan of it. It's a bit too precise for my liking. The Broggy Bonker is much easier IMO.
Shy Guy Squad - Another one of my favorites. Just what you said.
Snack Basket - A really funny and not that difficult attack. A bit limited due to certain enemies being immune, but otherwise is really good.
Magic Window - Yeah...it's a bit too busted due to being infinite, so I ignore it or intentionally screw it up to give bosses a chance.
Broggy Bonker - Totally worth the Blitty sidequest. A bit confusing to get a hang of at first, but otherwise is really good and really satisfying.
Falling Star - Really like how Starlow, Mario and Luigi work together as a trio using the power of the stars themselves. That and it's fun and really satisfying just like Broggy Bonker.
Honesty our opinion on these Bros attacks are more similiar than different which is interesting :D

Beating Bowser X and the other X bosses in a boss rush is way to hard without using The Mighty Meteor because you don't have access to good items without it so at least it's useful for that.
Ye thank god there is a use for it for people, for me personally it isn't great but I now get the use
I think that the Super Bouncer is kind of a sidegrade to the Yoo-Who Cannon for people who can’t remember all of the positions in the attack (though I still agree that the Yoo-Who Cannon is better)

I used the meteor a lot because the items (specifically the 1-ups) came in clutch on several occasions. It's a good move for stubborn unprepared people like myself; though I must admit that it was less useful on subsequent playthroughs, when I knew what bosses were where
That’s fair and I do think it’s useful in the battle ring for this game so that’s good
I'd also like to add that I always get perfects with the bob-omb squad and even then It's still deserving of the bottom placement because it's a jack of all trades, master of none.
for Bob-omb squad you can use the line up from the ground to help you like the clip you loop every time just get them to run between the eyes of the carpet
the use for mighty meteor is that you get an item after doing it

These Bros. Attacks are so fun to use and I think they're my favorite in the series!
I actually use mighty meteor pretty frequently before getting magic window, and even after if the enemies can't be damaged by jumps. I can't do the spin pipe
thats fair, I just can't pull of Mighty meteors well lol like you can't with spin pipe
And you can use the mighty Meteor in the boss rush for get extra items too

The mighty meteor is really good for the rank 7 gauntlet fight(bowser x). They give you a set number of items, and might meteor gives you free items
my personal ranking: (note: its based on how they work in the remake vs the original)
16 - Mighty Meteor - I actually made it a joke to use the Mighty Meteor in my playthrough on like as much enemies as possible because there is legiterally no reason to use this Bros. Attack ever. You have items that are way better than it that arent even optional from like so much earlier in the game and you unlock this only a mere area away from getting the Falling Star. The attack is also extremely difficult to pull off and you basically need to be a master of it to get it right, I can count on my hand the number of Excellents I got with this item lmao. Its genuinely useless but I think its hilarious for that exact reason.
15 - Spin Pipe - I think I only used the spin pipe like twice in my recent playthrough and unlike the mighty meteor it was not funny enough for me to think of reasons to justify using it
14 - Bob-omb Blitz - This attack is definitely one of the attacks you can get in this game
13 - Fire Flower - This move is useful for a while since its the only spread damage move you have for a good bit but like as soon as you get the Yoo Who Cannon you are never going to use this item again, its a much better spread attack move. I am the queen of button mashing but this got replaced so fast for me haha.
12 - Broggy Bonker - I feel like this attack got worse in the remake honestly, I dont know what it is but the remake makes this attack hella less consistent. I can barely get excellents and even when I get them, I am not sure what I did that made it not a Great, or honestly even a Good. It feels difficult to tell how you should actually execute the attack, meaning its a lot less of a powerhouse than it was in the original for me.
11 - Jump Helmet - I barely touched this item after I got the super bouncer lol
10 - Koopa Corps - This attack kinda tripped me up honestly, its pretty good but the way I hold my console made it so my hand was covering up where the shells were coming from, and I had to put my system upside down just to do the attack consistently, and I feel like that alone should bring this down for me, actually
9 - Goomba Storm - The remake makes this attack a lot easier because the Goombas move slower and I think the hitboxes are bigger? As such its a lot easier to pull off.
8 - Super Bouncer - Extremely satisfying to pull off until you get the Magic Window
7 - Shy Guy Squad - Super easy to pull off, honestly its only not higher because I tend to value items that do continous spread damage over singular target attacks.
6 - Green Shell - case in point: I used the green shell even in the endgame of this game, it is the easiest attack to pull off that can swap targets non-randomly, meaning you can focus on one enemy but immediately go to another one as soon as that enemy dies. This is, for some reason, the only Bros. attack in the game like this (ok the spin pipe does it too but the green shell is way easier to pull off tbh), every other one either locks in on one enemy or attacks the other ones at random. The Goomba Storm does this too but Mario and Luigi benefit from having a bros attack like this way more than Bowser does. What this effectively means is that the Green Shell was the best spread option to deal with enemies without actually being a spread move, and since its cheap as hell, I found myself just using it a lot to deal quick damage to certain enemies for a WHILE.
5 - Yoo Hoo Cannon - Carries for a while honestly cause its the best spread move for a while.
4 - Snack Basket - There is an entire mission in this game dedicated to getting it just on the virtue of it being overpowered and yeah that checks out
3 - Magikoopa Mob - Most useful Bowser move, extremely easy to pull off and does hella damage even without excellents.
2 - Falling Star - Extremely powerful single attack but:
1 - Magic Window - I just like spready moves more, and this is STILL super good even though its not an endless attack anymore in the remake.

3:40 I used to think the meteor was useless, until the items it gives bailed me out and allowed me to beat Bowser X
My ranking:
16. Goomba Storm: it’s so weak and it’s so hard to perfect
15. Fire Flower: very weak and the mashing is inconsistent
14. Yoo-Hoo Cannon: it’s the same amount of SP as the Super Bouncer, but it requires no skill, needs pure memory, and has no special effect, making this thing null
13. Bob-Omb Blitz: very hard to perfect and doesn’t get the stun enough
12. Mighty Meteor: despite its power, it’s a little hard to time and it hits random enemies; its only positive is the free item and attack drop
11. Green Shell: decent early game attack that does a solid amount of damage
10. Koopa Corps: it’s the Green Shell, but you attack with multiple shells and use the touchscreen
9. Shy Guy Squad: it does high damage and is pretty easy to pull off
8. Super Bouncer: it does the same damage as the Yoo-Hoo Cannon and has a stun chance, plus it’s more fun to use
7. Spin Pipe: it does high damage, hits multiple enemies, and has a chance of dizziness, plus it keeps hitting the enemy until it dies
6. Jump Helmet: it does very high damage-enough said
5. Snack Basket: it deals super high damage to all ground enemies, and you get to see dummy-thicc Luigi
4. Magikoopa Mob: easy to pull off, and does very high damage to all enemies
3. Broggy Bonker: it deals massive damage to one enemy and has multiple hits that can independently get a critical hit
2. Magic Window: it does high damage multiple times until you miss an action command or kill the enemy
1. Falling Star: it does insanely high damage and drops the opponent’s defense, making it a perfect setup for Magic Window
I didn't mind Bob-Omb Blitz until I tried the Broque Madame version... (shudder)
But Mighty Meteor?? Aside from getting free items (which is fun), the random POW Down status makes it even easier to cheese the game with the Giant Shell, which is probably one of the best accessories in any Mario and Luigi game.

Falling star is my fave too and for bowser my fave is also broggy bonker.
I actually like the koopa troop attack less than the Bob-ombs, which I find very easy to use.

Well, the BIS bros attacks I felt were well.. weak. There were only a few I liked. So my list was hard. (If your wondering what my favorite bros attacks set in a Mario and Luigi game is. It’s paper jam.)
16: Bob omb blitz: not fun to use. Same reason as you blah blah blah just a boring attack I never use
15: Super bouncer: This one doesn’t really feel satisfying to pull off. I honestly rather use a different bros.
14: Goomba Storm: it’s useful for not that long, and it was made really easy in the remake but since we are talking about the original.. I think. It will be placed here
13: spin pipe: ok this is an optional bros attack. But what I see is that people who try and rush through the game don’t get the bros attack cus they don’t know. And then the final boss takes longer. Which bugs me a bit.
12: Magickoopa mob: this one is ok. It’s satisfying to pull off its just not as fun as the rest I guess
11: green shell: the first one and I think it does it kind of well. I like PIT’S more than this one but it is still fun.
10: fire flower: this one for no reason hurts my arms. But it is still fun and does decent damage. I just won’t see myself using it after I get my 3rd bros attack.
9: jump helmet: I used to really like this one but soon my opinion changed. I always found it hard to successfully do the action command but other than that it’s fine
8: Shy guy squad: this one is nice. It does a lot of damage and it’s really fun to pull off. It’s kind of forgotten later in the game tho after you get magickoopa or broggy.
7: mighty meteor: I really love to do this one. Despite being bad at it it’s fun. I just wish there was a boss right after it and u don’t get falling star before the boss.
6: Yoo Hoo cannon: alright this one is great. Its used on one of the best Mario and Luigi bosses and is fun to use. I like it testing my small brain!! :D
5: koopa Corps: I have never known why I like this attack so much. It’s just fun to do and I love koopas I guess. Idk lol.
4: snack basket: fat Luigi. Is there anything else to say. Well yah, this bros attack made me crack up laughing the first time I saw. It is such a great memory for me.
3: Broggy Blitz: best bowser attack. It’s strong, fun to do, and I feel like is a great way to reward anyone who got all the blitty’s in the game!
2: Falling star: a fun overpowered attack. Too bad it ruins that garbage boss fight. No that’s what it actually is. A trash can.
1: magic window. An infinite attack.. I think which is also overpowered and fun. Why is it better than falling star? Idk. I just like it more.

I always use the 3DS Circle Pad to perform the Falling Star and is more comfortable.
100 percent this is more true I cant imagine people doing this with a normal Dpad
i was really surprised to find bob-omb blitz so low cause idk why but its always been the easiest bowser attack for me even easier than the basic punch and flame and i only have any trouble with it in the broque madame minigame
maybe my screen being somewhat damaged has something to do with it but idk i could also just be a god gamer lol
God Monke gamer, no I think that one being at the bottom is just personal preference, it’s a very hard attack to get good at because you need to understand the hit boxes of enemies and bosses in this game, once you do you are going to have a blast literally with this attack
I now have a idea is ranking bros in to most least favorite to favorite for each game. After I get the jump helmet it gets magic window and shooting star is replace for me.
I will not accept that Mighty Meteor Slander.
That thing made the battle arena so much more bareable.
I could farm some great items at the early boss battles while still getting through them quickly, since the meteor does pretty good single target damage.
And the few boss battles with multiple targets actually tend to benefit from needing multiple meteors to finish them off, since that only means getting more items for future boss battles.
Combine good single target damage, ok-ish multiple target damage, a fairly low SP cost and very good potential item drops and there is little to complain for me.
Are there better options attack-wise?
Yes, obviously.
There are better single target and multiple target attacks for Mario & Luigi in the game.
But I think that's kinda the point, since the main gimmick of the meteor is the item drop you get for perfecting the move, not the insane fire power it dishes out.
My favourite special attack is fall star and broggy attack
I personally use The Yoo Hoo Canon all the way at least for me it's just really great attack because it doesn't cost a lot and does really good damage,i even used it against the dark star core

I felt like falling star was a reskin of Goomba storm, just more damage in the original and it’s possible to kill the dark star with super strike with said attack which piles up to 2,000

I have a question that I need answered. I've been playing Bowsers Inside Story the original for the first time and the fire flower is so wierd. Sometimes it works properly like it goes mario, luigi, mario, luigi, then both. But sometimes it goes mario, mario, luigi, mario, then both or even mario, mario, mario, mario, both. It hasnt been replaced yet. Its weird and it that normal or is my copy like that?
Ok originally I was gonna say that you didn’t use Mario enough for the fire flower, but if it’s ONLY at Mario and it transitions to both then that is strange o-o

Tbh I find Superstar Saga to have the best Bros. attacks in the series, especially in the original version.
I find the fire flower useful in the Kretin fight if you lose track of the real kretin.

The worst think about bombomb blitz is that sometimes the hitbox of some enemy’s are huge and some are small,the only time I use it when there are many enemy’s
yeah its very weird with hitboxes which is why I don't ever use it
I hate the Fire Flower, it's not that hard to use but it feels unsatisfying for no reason compared to other games, it's the delay before you can use the next Bro.
I never use Bob Omb Blitz, it doesnt work well in a sprite based game with such little time, I think you have to align the shadows, but I don't even bother with it.

goomba storm is a lot easier in 3d version, goombas are very slow, wich means you can easily get tap on all goombas

I think its sad that you don't even rate the fun of the attack on a consistently
I don’t think that many of these attacks are fun, but some of them can be satisfying which is the closest to fun just because it’s hard to have fun specifically with a 5-20 second attack, it’s not like they aren’t fun but stuff like the minigames with the Bros attacks are more fun than just the Bros attacks themselves
