Dreamy Mario sucked imo, easily my least favorite boss in the entire series. Way too much health for something you can only jump on once per turn, does nothing with the whole evil Mario thing (except copy one of Memo Mario's moves) and most of his attacks take forever without any opportunity to counter attack. Cool concept, poor execution.

I'm sorry but the placement and reasoning behind some of the stats are bizarre to me. There's an odd tone whiplash to go from stating how important HP is for Hardmode to how you don't need to put too much stats into Defense or else the rest of the stats suffer (theres also equipment), and how BP is super needed till you have enough stats needed and with the rank up perk the stat becomes bottomless at end game. The ranking reasons for HP, BP and Defense just don't add up with what you explained.

What I like about Dark Bowser and Dark Fawful/Dark Star Core, is that everything in this fight determines the world's fate. Basically if Mario, Luigi, Starlow, and Bowser lost, it would literally be the end of the franchise.

The 30 fps gameplay of the remake makes my nuts itch.

There should be spinoff where you play as elite trio and defeat evil chicken nuggets. (In all seriousness though, they NEED to come back, they just oozed so much personality)

Honestly TOK has my favorite world out of any Mario RPG so far. It's so fun to explore and the variety of the regions plus the amount of major interior areas really clicks with me. Idk the setting just feels grander and more lived in. I like just aimlessly running around the world tbh, Shogun Studios and Shangri-Spa especially. My only criticism is that yeah, the final chapter has a really cool beginning buildup and final dungeon, but it feels like we're missing half of a chapter (which tbf is the case for most PM final chapters, at least this time its not drug out). I'm also not really bothered by Olly's motive, a lot of the villain greats have equally stupid and petty motivations (like Syndrome) and I like that they made him gain some clarity at the end without trying to act like he's suddenly redeemed for everything (him even saying as much), feels a bit more nuanced than you'd expect for Mario.

At first your choices seemed questionable but for someone to finally put partners in time on first place is just so worth it

My ranking: 8. Lakilester: he would maybe be decent if he weren’t the last partner, but he’s just so meh 7. Kooper: he’s great for ground enemies only, which is a huge problem. Koops in TTYD improved on this type of character by giving him Shell Shield and Shell Slam 6. Goombario: Multibonk is great, but Charge is kind of worthless. Like Koops with Kooper, Goombella did this type of character justice in TTYD thanks to the OP Rally Wink. I put Goombario higher than Koops because of the Tattle Log. 5. Bombette: she does a f***load of damage, but chugs through too much FP to do that damage. Once again, TTYD improved on this type of character with Bobbery’s 0 FP move being Bomb 4. Parakarry: I don’t like this partner, but I’m taking a flier on this one. Sky Dive and Shell Shot are solid, Air Raid is phenomenal, and I love that he can hit enemies on the ceiling. However, Air Lift is a complete waste of a move. It’s a worse version of Hurricane that can only remove one enemy at a time, still gives no Star Points, and will injure Parakarry if the enemy has spikes or is on fire. With that said, his other three moves are solid, so I’ll give him credit for that 3. Sushie: not only does she deal a ton of damage, but the water element is really useful, plus she can bolster Mario’s defense. Tidal Wave is also insanely strong, but the amount that it lags the game is atrocious 2. Bow: unless your enemy has higher defense, the amount of damage that this sassy ghost does for almost no FP is outstanding! Plus, Outta Sight is really useful in many scenarios. My one gripe is that in my opinion, TTYD improves this type of character with Vivian, but that doesn’t change how good this Boo is 1. Watt: for how much she can do, she’s quite conservative with her FP. Electro Dash is nothing special, but Power Shock and Mega Shock are nuts. Paralysis is amazing in this game. But most importantly, Turbo Charge gives Mario an huge boost in attack for a mere 3 FP! That is absolutely insane!

Peach’s Castle is my number one, it’s awesome to be able to explore it again like in Mario 64. I really enjoyed the outdoor section, it was really fun to explore. And the garbage can robot boss was cool too, a bit easy, i beat the fight in 3 turns, but still an enjoyable fight, i loved his design. Also learning the bowser roll there made exploring the rest of the map a lot more fun for me. The enemies were really fun to fight as both the bros and bowser. You learn shooting star. The music is phenomenal from this point onward in the story. Everything this area offered was top notch. My only complaint is having to do Airway between, i wasnt a huge fan of the 2d sections of this game or in dream team. But the fights against dark star, blizzard midbus, fawful, and then the final fight were all some of my favorites, i especially loved when mario and luigi fought alongside bowser and you swapped between the two fighting styles. I got magic window from the shroob boss in bowsers castle before i went in, and got the a-ok wear so i was pretty overpowered and took out those sections in 2 turns. But yeah fantastic area, definitely my favorite rpg game ive played. I actually just finished my most recent playthrough last night. 9.3/10 game. The minigames were the worst part, the sneezing one in blubble lake was genuinely frustrating, i dont have a stylus anymore so i had to improvise with a stick (i was outside when i got to that point) also the one in dimble woods where you eat the carrot, that one stumped me as a kid and i couldnt get past it. I did have a save file that was already past that area though so i just played on that. But yeah i think it would be a better game without those interuptions breaking my flow of gameplay. Also there should be a skip all dialogue and skip cutscene button too. I do love mashing though

no way mossrock theater is at number 8 That level rivals sandshifter ruins, bowser's sky castle, and loop loop river as one of the worst things to come from a paper mario game in existence It wouldn't be so bad if you just played through it once. But to get all the exits, you must play it THREE TIMES OVER, and enemies pop out of nowhere every single time.

Your problem with Tidal Wave is definitely understandable, but ironically, a problem few people would theoretically have. This game was also released on Wii U Virtual Console (the one I have), which allowed custom button mapping. If NSO had the same feature, you could map C-Down to one of the face buttons (like X for example, which is what I use) and it’d be so much simpler.

i will say this, stache is EXTREMELY useful if you use it specifically on luigi due to every luiginoid having the same stache multiplier (which means you will almost guarantee atleast a few lucky hits), its still not as strong as power but it makes a heck of a difference with luigi

3:31 yeah you was 100% overlevelled, considering it took me 3 days to grind levels just for level 40 WITH the 25% exp. its also virtually impossible on hard mode since bowser has like an extra 50% damage and defence, so you basically get destroyed if you take a single hit and you dont get an excellent on zee/star

The main reason i like Stuffwell is he's a pure living being. Stuffwell is the ONLY Mario & Luigi companion in the Mario & Luigi RPGs that treats Mario and Luigi as heroes at the same level, and never looks down at him. In a world where Luigi is looked as the forgotten, less important brother, Stuffwell acknowledges that he's as important as Mario. I assumed that this is because he's a E. Gadd's creation, and he knows better than almost everyone that Luigi is capable of being a hero. He never treats others with disrespect, and he's cute. I love him. I think he's way more adorable than Starlow and Dreambert. But i know that the things you said are also real. I don't mind them, but i can understand why people tends to...not love him. I wonder if the new companions from Mario & Luigi Brothership (if there is companions that joins the brother's adventure) makes me like them more than Stuffwell...Conetta is so adorable, so if she's kind-hearted, she can be a real contender to be my new favourite.

It is kind of funny how wrong you are about Peach's attack strength. Once she gets the Fry Pan, she actually has one of the best attack strengths in the game.

How are you NOT good at the EASIEST RPG of all time? Why make a list at all then? However, I suppose it is semi interesting seeing a Tier list from someone who has no idea what they're talking about, even if it is completely incorrect. Professionally speaking, the Tier list is very clear & simple. Peach & Geno are easily the best two characters in the game, with Mario being a clear 3rd, and Mallow & Bowser being the worst by a pretty large margin. Worth noting that Peach actually has some of the best attack strength in the game with the proper equipment such as the Fry Pan. Crazy but true.
