    Suddenly his appearance in South Park’s “With Apologies to Jesse Jackson” makes more sense. Just like how Randy’s desperate attempts at damage control only managed to dig himself even deeper, Richards couldn’t let go of his past mistakes and wound up pushing everyone away instead of reaching out for help. Now all people see him as is “just another n-guy.”

    • @556deltawolf
      @556deltawolf ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Though to be fair, i know it's south park but I think the real blame in that episode shouldn't of even been on Randy rather the producers of Wheel of Fortune. I mean c'mon even members of the audience had looks of shock on them when they saw it. Again i know it's South Park and nobody has common sense in that show but really the guy who talks to Pat Sajak through that small ear piece should've said "Dude just solve the puzzle for him and give him his prize before he says it!"

    tbf about Richards' method on Seinfeld, his character is extremely animated and it takes a TON of energy and concentration to pull off Kramer effectively, so if your co-stars are messing up , or cant stop laughing ,you do lose that energy over time making your performance suffer, which is what i think Richards' was annoyed about

    9:25 This was a pretty common practice back then, like Dick van Dyke plays a character named Rob Petrie on the 'The Dick van Dyke Show', or Bob Newhart plays Dick Loudon on 'Newhart', Donna Reed plays Donna Stone on "The Donna Reed Show', or even Bill Cosby plays Dr Cliff Huxtable on 'The Cosby Show'

    It's really sad. He recently did an informal interview with Jerry Seinfeld, and you can tell he's still shook from the the whole Laugh Factory thing. Like, he thinks the entire world hates him and has 100% convinced himself of this idea to the point of "forever-delusion." Dude needs a phoenixy spiritual rebirth. I think psilocybin therapy would really help him, otherwise he'll probably die really sad and jaded, when he's actually super rad and everyone is stoked on him and wish him nothing but love, success, and happiness in his life. He could totally make a comeback, if he wanted to. I hope he's making positive spiritual progress or whatever. Great video. There was a lot there I didn't know. 🤙

    It’s a shame because Michael Richards is quite talented. There are those who take their jobs very seriously and that can defiantly rub people the wrong way sometimes when one is acting as he did on Seinfeld. Unfortunately once Seinfeld ended, he wasn’t able to get roles where he could stretch his acting and comedic abilities. The Laugh Factory incident is a definite blow to him. Also, I don’t know where you got that he doesn’t like UHF as I’ve never seen or heard anything from him that indicated that he doesn’t like it as you don’t really site anything that gives proof that he doesn’t like it at all. He likely took the role not only because of the money, but because it might have been a departure from some of the things he had done up to that point and he got to showcase more of his comedic abilities even more than before. Whenever I’ve heard him talk about it, he’s always been positive about it. Yeah, he doesn’t talk about it much, but then again people don’t usually mention it to him whenever there’s an interview being conducted with him as Seinfeld is the primary focus and UHF will barely get talked about with him, unlike with Weird Al, it comes up quite a bit due to its cult following and not just because he starred in the film, but he also wrote the film and did the music. Here’s hoping one day, Michael Richards will be in something where he’ll be able to get back on top again. Great video man, take care!

    I think I recall one of the other early things he might've done was this video about car insurance and how they determine what they charge people.
    the main thing I remember from that video I saw in Driver's Ed was the song: 🎶"Choice, Chance & Control"🎶.
    actually i'm not sure if he did this before or during Seinfeld. I just recall my teacher showing this and mentioning his name and not really knowing Seinfeld at all due to only seeing it in clips and not really knowing anyone's name. But i did recognize Richards due to his hair.
