You always seem to do a great job at the lathering. That looks like it would be a good travel soap, in that plastic case. Thanks for the video and safe travels.
Another town another shave, good one Jim💖 There are arguments for and against more aggressive razors, personally I'm in the mild to medium camp, I have tried some more aggressive razors with some unpleasant results, particularly with lots of blade exposure.👌🤠👌
Thank you Lawrie. Yep, the mild/aggressive thing is so subjective. Horses for courses. I'm prone to the odd spot or two. That's when I need to go mild.
That razor made quick work of your heavy beard. In fact, it was singing for all three passes. I agree about preshaves. I've tried the oils and the creams. But when I started face lathering, I realized it cleaned my face, exfoliated the skin, and hydrated the beard. That is all the preshave I need. So, for me, preshaves are overhyped. Until next time...cheers!
@@JimWillShave Actually, I find there's no need for pre-shaves when bowl lathering either. Just use the brush with some of the soap and "scrub" the face. Then apply as much soap as needed to prep the beard for the shave. I know there's $$ in selling pre-shave oils/creams. But they just aren't required if the brush is used properly. My opinion and preference of course 😉
@BartBuzz that's the key, yes. Work the lather into the face. Look at the bad old days. When some of us used canned gue. Squirt then slap on the face. No preshave.
@@JimWillShave Yes. I remember the days of canned shaving cream. And back then I didn't know what a 3-pass shave was. No alum and no balm. Pieces of toilet tissue to stop the bleeding. The good old days...NOT.

Great shave Jim, don’t think I’ve seen you with such a heavy stubble. The soap looks really nice, love the brush ❤
Thank you Garry. Yes, I did look a tad unkempt. The Rocca sorted it out though

@Dontgiveafeck I hate Blackpool. I'm a coach driver. The amount of times I've taken stags and hens there.
But, I have had some good times there.

My pleasure Steve, and thank you.
The key to a good lather is to simply use enough product.
Cheers Buddy

Hello Bart. Exactl, spot on regarding the use of pre shaves when face lathering. There's no need whatsoever.
Cheers buddy
