Thanks for the recipe. I made it, let it soak 24 hours, and then blended with immersion blender right in the jar. It didn’t take it long at all to get thick. Thanks again!
I just love watching you make things from scratch with your own hands to take care of yourself and Mr.Brown and I’m sure your kids too when they were young. 🥰 I’m only 17 but I wish to be so much like you when I have my own family, I love this lifestyle of yours and can’t wait to have it myself one day! These videos inspire me greatly, never stop uploading. ❤️
Got my mustard seed today. They are soaking in the brine now. So excited about this! My husband said, “It’s going to be really hard to wait the full 24 hours!” 😁 Little does he know it's going to be another 4 weeks till he can try it. 😳😬😊
Miss Lori, I just made ANOTHER Batch of your amazing mustard! This time I added Pomegranate flavored Craisins and it was SO SO GOOD! Just that little added sweetness made a whole other level of flavor! THANKS AGAIN!
I have to tell you that I made your mustard and sold it along with my jams and jellies. Well it sold out! People loved it. I let them sample it with pretzels. When I made it I added about a quarter cup of local honey to it to tone it down a bit. It still had a bite. A gal that purchased some said she has had it with cranberries in it so I'm going to give that a try. Thanks for the video!
I'm sorry but I forget to click thumbs up on all your videos. Just know I like all your videos. Keep up doing a great job. Your recipes r great. U remind me so much of my grandma in the way she cooked. She too had a tea cup she kept in the flour bin. 😁
I am going to be making my own mustard after watching you. I see some glimmers of hope in the young, especially the new homesteaders with regards to getting back to the simple ways. Yesterday we went to a couple local Amish farms and got eggs, butter, dill, honey and fresh veggies. Seeing how the different families live was an experience Ill never forget. They were so kind and accommodating. The weather was perfect and scenery of the rolling hills just fabulous. I don’t think Ive ever experienced a more perfect day. We will be going back often. My husband and I love to support local farms as much as possible. I just love your videos. I just love working in my kitchen along with you and others who provide similar videos. Your food prep videos are a real treat. Keep em coming! God bless you for sharing. 💕
There is a fancy restaurant I love that has a "stone ground " mustard that is to die for. I now have the knowledge...watch out Light House! Thanks again Miss Lori. Can't wait to try this.
If you'd drained some of the liquid off first then once the seeds were fairly well blended add the liquid in it will blend better and in less than half the time...good video, going to go look for more 😊
Congratulations on your New to you cook stove , In the 1980 we lived in a 1936 Log Cabin and the Cook stove came with the Cabin.,I sir enjoyed the simplicity of the Classic style of living . The only thing was keeping lots of 2 inche 4 inc of kitchen fire wood and ect
Hi. I have been enjoying your videos for the last year or so. I live in the Columbia River Gorge of WA. I watched this awhile back and ordered seed to make this and put them to soak overnight like in the video and just took my first batch out and will put away on a shelf and let sit for the 4 weeks and use in baskets for Christmas for one of the items in said baskets as gifts. Hoping my husband likes it as well. Thanks for all of your videos. May the Lord bless your week.
Up here in Maine, I have a Princess Atlantic wood cook stove in my kitchen. I keep it going all winter. I absolutely love that old girl. The oven is great the heat is great. I just plain love it.

I like yellow mustard in deviled eggs and potato salad and on hot dogs. But for sandwiches and sauces I prefer a more rustic mustard. This looks great!

Ms. Lori, I am absolutely hooked on your videos. Just started watching about a month ago. I have already tried several of your recipes. Couldn’t find ASDA, but no big deal, I’ll find another organic on Amazon. I could sit & watch you all day, your voice is like the soothing sound of someone telling a bedtime story. I never even knew anyone made their own mustard! lol I guess I never thought about where it comes from. Duh. I think I'll try this when I'm able to afford the mustard seeds and small jars. . What a great idea! Thanks for sharing.
That Mustard looks really good Ms. Lori. I am thinking of canning some up for gifts for Christmas. Thank you for sharing. God Bless You and Mr. Brown. Hugggggs

😍😍😍😍😍 I eat mustard on my mustard lol this is the BEST -I'm excited to try it! I didn't even know you could get seeds and flour etc on Amazon until I watched your videos....
I'm really glad to get this recipe, Lori! It resembles Boetje's Mustard (made locally to me), which has long been my favorite, but the stores closest to me are no longer carrying it. So, being able to make it myself, instead of running all over the area to find it, makes me very happy. So does the price. Roughly $20 for the seeds, when that same amount of money will only get me 6 small jars of Boetje's. Yet another reason we can. :) I'm adding the seeds to my Amazon order list!
Good deal! It's hard for me to find a good ground mustard here in my area, I have ordered a good organic brand from Thrive market, but it is expensive, I'm glad I started making my own, xoxoxo
Fabulous recipe Lori thank you for sharing your recipe. I use a tremendous amount of mustard in my home and believe me it costs me a fortune....I have tried many makes but always find the best quality in COLMANS ENGLISH MUSTARD. But I will certainly have to make your recipe 👌🇿🇦 Will let you know how it works out 👍
I really love a good grainy country mustard. I have said for years that I'm going to make it. Well there's no time like the present so I ordered a pound of brown and a pound of yellow mustard seed. I have everything else so I am ready to go! Some people make mustard that is so hot I can't eat it but a grainy mustard has more of a Tang then heat and I understand why your son likes to use it because it leaves behind the most wonderful Tangy taste. 😊💕😎
ThankYou Mr&Mrs Brown! Made a good batch here of homemade mustard. Your method is the best recipe i have seen, witnessed and produced. Once again...I never thought it would be this easy to can something like this. And it looks DELICIOUS! I LOVE the seeds that are left in it; looks so rustic. I've made this mustard and it is AMAZING! At first it doesn't es taste more like horseradish, which was wonderful on roast beef! After about a month in the shelf it does calm down a bit. Thank you for the recipe

We had our floors reinforced when we built our home 3 years ago to accommodate our Viking stove. They weigh so much!!! You don't want you stove to end up in the cellar!! Just make sure your biscuits are are "light"!😂❤️
I would love it if you made a how to book with all your recipes and tips. I just love your videos and your calm attitude about everything. I suffered 2 strokes in 2015 and you way of doing things is so layed back that its something that I think I could do. Bless you and please keep doing your wonderful videos.

Thank you Lori, for all of the recipes you provide for us! I have tried many and enjoy all your new recipes!! I also enjoy you and mr. Brown sitting on the front porch and enjoying the weather and just being together and your lovely personal Paradise there on the farm. I am curious however Lori, the guitar instrumental music can a person purchase that on DVD or CD and where? Sounds like bluegrass and I do enjoy it. It's like going back to my grandma's Farm! Again thank you so so much I've been in Canning and cooking since I was 8 years old and it's always a wonderful thing to learn something new and I've learned a lot of things new and old recipes with new tricks from you! God bless you and yours! Blessings!❤

I've only ever made it with already ground mustard seed. So interesting that you grind your own. It looks wonderful! Great job. 🤗
Since this video was made a year ago. I sure you understand why southern kitchens were always in a separate building from the main house. WOW that’s a hot way to cook!🔥🔥🔥
