Everyone from Griselda in general man. There's some mid this year (Flygod 2, Who Made The Sunshine?, The Versace Tape) but when they hit they fucking hit. From King to a God, Burden of Proof, Pray For Paris, Manger on McNichols, The Price of Tea in China are all some of the best albums of the year.

Been a strong year for hip hop. this trend of one producer taking on the entire album has made some instant classics, everything just seems so much more focused. Alchemist and Hit Boy are bridging the gap between artists and we're seeing features we probably wouldn't have otherwise.

Favorite album of the year for me hands down, Benny is the best in the game right now. Freddie is a close second in both categories so it always makes me happy to see them showing each other love and working together.
Great album, this and from a king to a god both in my top 10 this year, also Black thoughts album.

Took me a few weeks to get around to listening to this album, but I can see what people were saying when they compared the sonics to that Roc-A-Fella Records era sound. This album definitely could've been recorded at Baseline, and mixed by Young Guru. This might be aoty, or at least top 5. Benny and Hit-Boy really delivered a great project.
''The sound never got old, the spirit just went away'' Real dope way to put it. This basicly goes for all 'older' rappers. When you still have that spirit, you can never be or sound washed up. Because spirit is timeless.

I am still squinting at the Griselda fanboys disappointed with Hit Boy's production on this.
I personally prefer the dusty Daringer/Alchemist style of production, but Hit-Boys production was a nice change of pace after a lot of the grimey stuff they've put out.
I'm not disappointed I just feel like this reminds me a lot of Jay Z and maybe that's why it's not really hitting me because although I think Jay Z is very good his music never really stuck with me like that but I know that he is a huge influence on Benny so I understand and respect it

I mean... Everyone gotta have the cross they deserve and Kawhi needs to take his too. He simply wasn’t a leader, and he disappeared when it mattered the most. Rest of the team had their faults, but Kawhi and PG showed no emotional leadership in any ways, when they should’ve taken control. You can’t let your team’s emotional identity be defined by Marcus Morris and Pat Beverley, you simply can’t when you’re a top 5 player like he is.
Claudio, The Creator Kawhi was never supposed to be an emotional leader though. He’s like a small forward Timmy D without the leadership qualities. For me it’s pinned on Doc for not rallying the clippers in game 7. Kawhi was doing great until the last 2 games but he gets more blame than the role players who got complacent after going up 3-1.

@@yd856 yeah definitely, the team as a whole has a lot of responsibilities. I think the team wasn’t well built because if Kawhi can’t be a leader no one actually IS. PG clearly showed he can’t be, Lou Will never has been, Harrell doesn’t have what it takes... As I said I think the problem is the team’s emotional identity. I’m actually very interested about what’s gonna happen this off-season with their team...

So it's rightfully so those two get most of the blame when they disappoint expectations especially since they're the best players on the team. Doc has some accountability but he's not the one playing on the court.
