He got away from it a bit on Tana Talk 3 and especially on “The Plugs I Met”....because it’s right in the title what that EP was about, and on the group album. But I agree, Benny was more conscious here like he was on his earlier albums.
Tana Talk 3 was Reasonable Doubt vibes and Burden of Proof was more The Blueprint This style works for Benny and I think in the future, the luxury Ross or introspective Meek sound may work for him. Legend proves he can spit over 808s and still maintain a high level of lyricism
