    Love the way this ball goes down the lane and hits. Just recently found a used one with 30 or so games on it and it's become my new favorite ball for house shot. Resurfaced from 2000 dry, 3000 dry, 4000 dry, then a light 2000 over that and it's a tank.
    Phaze II was my go to ball before, but it was always a little too strong for house/open play and would read the front of the lane too early. However, with the SPEC cover I get cleaner through the front and nearly the same hitting power of the Phaze II. It keeps the pins really low and if you get it near the pocket, you're almost guaranteed good carry.
    I think it matches up to my style of bowling really well as a lot of pieces that shouldn't feel over/under, do for me with lower speed but medium to high rev rate, but this cover helps me see the whole motion of the ball and make easier adjustments like being able to add some ball speed and still get it to come back, whereas the Phaze II just kind of skids and deflects if you do that.

    Just picked one up! I love how consistent this ball is. I was very pleased that I could stay in virtually the same spot for a couple games then ball down to my intense. Great review (watched it 4x).

    Whats up Luke, I surface my ball to 2000 before league, and around 8 frames in or the second game the ball seems weak/dead roll out. I watched a video where after 13 ball returns the grit from 2500 went to 4280 on a bowling ball. I jam the ball into the oil when I play, does this mean it is too shined and the crux doesn't like that? From Tamers video, he didn't like it at 4000 haha

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's probably because you're putting too much surface on the ball. With that strong of a ball and that much surface, it's going to hook much too early and be really slow and lazy down lane because there's rarely if ever a need for that much strength on a regular league pattern. The more surface you have, the faster the ball picks oil up off the lane, so by the time the second game gets there, you've already been using something too strong to begin with, then picking up a bunch of oil and the lanes by then are just too dry for the ball, so it's going to hook early and just kind of die or burn up. The Prime likes lane shine just fine, I think again you're just going overkill with both the ball selection and the surface for a regular league pattern.

    I recently bought the physix and I'm enjoying it a lot. I'm able to manipulate my rev rate if needed. It's an intimidating ball for me personally, I thought the code x was a lot of ball but not compared to the physix. I've thrown a couple 230's and a 250 game(s)so far and enjoying it

  • @MrMatssundin1372

    How it compare to the halo for you? I find the halo is too much sometimes. I have a pin down and it was too much on ths so I shined it up. Then it was too skid flip. Took it to 2000 and tamed it down a bit.

      @LukeRosdahl  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry I didn’t see this, this one is quite a bit smoother so I find that I’m able to throw it on a lot drier condo because it’s not as flippy and strong on friction as most reactives

    Here pretty soon I am gonna get a couple new balls one of them being the halo pearl for sure but unsure of what to get for a strong soild asymmetrical I have the crux prime halo and surelock in mind but not sure witch one to get. I have lower revs with decent speed I like to play the track area when I can but with less aggressive stuff I have to start further right and then move into the track as I bowl. The bowling alley I bowl at uses a modified stone street they have added oil to the middle part of the lane and there backend tend to be pretty weak compared to most other places. Also shots that go wide will not make it back but with the added oil in the middle there is some hold room. With all this info out of the 3 balls I have mentioned what do u think I should try for a game 1 ball

    • @LukeRosdahl
      @LukeRosdahl  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      People still seem to be favoring the Halo, the Prime is pretty smooth and doesn’t quite read the lane like other balls so some people have trouble adjusting to and from the Prime because it’s so different. The Halo will need more cover maintenance but it’s “simpler”

    • @LukeRosdahl

      Yeah I know, I didn't think it could be done just because of what has to happen to create hook, but apparently this is a thing so I guess I was wrong!
