    All music goes from heart to heart and must reach the heart again. Your singing shows that music doesn't need anything unlike words (they need music)...I've never listened to or heard Georgian songs before....It's something special...That's right. Good luck to you! RB.

      George Ninoshvili I need to go to Georgia soon. I'm planning a trip but I need to find the right schedule. Maybe next winter. I feel the same about Georgia, such a country! Music is amazing, food is the best, the landscape, the people, traditions... Kakhetin wine... (there are 2 Georgian restaurants in Budapest, so I have tried Georgian food and I'm in love!).
      This is why I fell in love with Iriao. They are a real ambassador for Georgian culture and I was already in love with it so, they are easily my winners. I hope someday I can meet them in person. ❤

      BTW, "Shen Khar Venakhi" is specifically Georgian Orthodox chant. I was written by Georgian king Demetrius the first who later was tonsured and became a monk: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demetrius_I_of_Georgia. He wrote the hymn for that chant and it is dedicated to All Holy Theotokos, Mother of God. As there are many different styles of singing in Georgia, so are there several different styles of Georgian Orthodox chanting and the same hymn is chanted in different styles. I have linked bellow some of them:

    “Shvili” doesn’t only mean a son, it means somebody’s child , it’s a gender neutral word and means both: a son or a daughter. Lots of Georgian last names end with ‘shvili’ and also with ‘dze’ , the latter lliterally means a son.

    • @neilmckay4097
      @neilmckay4097 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I understood the word for daughter to be 'gogoshvili', or literally, 'girl son'?

    • @Tinamaria2114
      @Tinamaria2114 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@neilmckay4097I see that my previous comment created confusion, so i will edit it. For daughters the word is “qalishvili” , for sons - “vazhishvili”. “Dze” is an old Georgian word for a son.

    Danke - das war sehr incessant : // Thanks a lot for this great description and wonderful singing. I am glad that you chose songs that are not that easy to copy, with melodies that flow in an out of the fine-pitched notes - and not that much the "youtube phenomenon Georgian folk pop" (though that is nice, too). I travelled through the eastern part of your beautiful country around Easter 2023 and became increasingly thrilled by the music. So I even dared to record an instrumental interpretation one of the tunes I liked a lot (and hope not to have "changed" it too much): th-cam.com/video/HdBT7uH9A5U/w-d-xo.html / should you be interested: my videos from the trip (with plenty of background music) are here: th-cam.com/play/PLKGzFtj4eu_FBlSKUBPCFxN3kKnDCuCDj.html // (via google translate): დიდი მადლობა ამ შესანიშნავი აღწერისთვის და შესანიშნავი სიმღერისთვის. მოხარული ვარ, რომ თქვენ აირჩიეთ სიმღერები, რომლებიც არც თუ ისე ადვილია კოპირება, მელოდიებით, რომლებიც მიედინება ლამაზ ნოტებში - და არა იმდენად "youtube ფენომენი ქართული ხალხური პოპი" (თუმცა ეს ასევე სასიამოვნოა). მე ვიმოგზაურე თქვენი ულამაზესი ქვეყნის აღმოსავლეთ ნაწილში 2023 წლის აღდგომის გარშემო და სულ უფრო აღფრთოვანებული გავხდი მუსიკით. ასე რომ, მე კი გავბედე ჩამეწერა ინსტრუმენტული ინტერპრეტაცია ერთ-ერთი მელოდია, რომელიც ძალიან მომეწონა (და იმედია ძალიან არ "შევიცვლი"): th-cam.com/video/HdBT7uH9A5U/w-d-xo.html / დაგაინტერესებთ: ჩემი ვიდეოები მოგზაურობა (უამრავი ფონური მუსიკით) აქ არის: th-cam.com/play/PLKGzFtj4eu_FBlSKUBPCFxN3kKnDCuCDj.html
