Serbia hid its strength until the final. It is hard to take an award just for one game.

@@aleksaranitovic There are several ways to hide one's strength. Serbia did not play the games prior to the final the way it played the final. In this way the opposing teams prepared to face a completely different Serbia and thus found themselves unprepared. What I mean to say is that Serbia won all the games deservedly and by a greater margin than it looked. But don't tell me that Serbia's blocking against the U.S. was as effective as it was against Brazil. In the final Serbia received and defended at monstrous levels. The only one who limited herself a little less was Boskovich who deservedly won two awards.

It means you have never seen Sylla play. Pietrini will improve . For now Sylla is a better in blocking, in defense and receiving. In attack she can hit the ball in many more ways.

@@maurizioberlanda100 exactly, that's why the award shouldn't be given to somebody who didn't do much for the success of the team in the tourney. Egonu is the heart and soul of the team but if they NEED to award an outside hitter from Itlay, it's Caterina Bosetti. For nearly a decade, perhaps, a decade now, she's played for the NT and showed what she's capable of, she's reliable and a leader on and off the court, it's not always about points. She and her sister has been not much appreciated compared to their flashy teammates (Sylla and Egonu) but you have to notice them. But then again, individual awards in the FIVB are not based on statistics or objective in any way, it has and will remain subjective.
