Unfortunately our country is too football-centric to see the astonishing achievements across all volleyball national teams. This year we have already won 10 titles.

These guys were unbeatable. I mean, they are young, very tall, athletic, and tactically aware. By far, Poland was the best team apart from them. Italy, however, were on another level. Well done.

As an Italian sports fan, I have to say I was beyond impressed by the Polish crowd. The fans were loud, supportive, respectful. They cheered for their players even after a heartbreaking defeat, applauded the other teams and even clapped along to the Italian anthem. For me this is sportsmanship at its peak and a display of tremendous respect for athletes and other supporters. I have to say I was almost moved to tears by the atmosphere.
Great job to all players, coaches and fans! Forza Italia, bravi ragazzi!

Tbh i dont know who choses highlights but its always wrong!! Either basied for one team, no set points or they just simply left out some amazing plays.
A month ago and looking back at the VNL final 4, nobody would have believed in Italy's victory, myself included. I'm speechless but so happy and proud, they did something incredible. They're the underdog. They won as a group (first World Championship for all of them except Giannelli and Anzani). Giannelli is the perfect leader for this team and the well deserved MVP. They wrote a new chapter in the Italian men volleyball history and winning in Katowice twice in a year is priceless. Also it's amazing that the two coaches De Giorgi and Grbic were facing each other in the final in 1998 as players. Life is a cycle. Italy volleyball teams won everything this summer and it's not over yet. Now I'm so "scared" and excited for the women side (but no pressure).
Vnl is not a great indicator and it was a different team..By the way i still don't get it how a nation that won the european championship can be defined as "underdogs"... always do it with Italy...It's just madness for me. But please keep doing it, it's just and advantage for Italy.
@@Cosmopavone Being an underdog is not a bad thing. It's winning despite the odds. Italy is the youngest team and only Giannelli and Anzani has played a World Championship before. Italy has the same line-up as we've seen in the VNL. (Oggettivamente, nessuno si sarebbe mai aspettato questo risultato un mese fa).
@@RockAddicted7 yeah, i said the same, keep calling us underdogs please. But i still don't understand how the european champions can be defined underdogs. An underdog team is a team that wins it all even if they had zero chance of winning on paper. That's far from being the case of Italy. Italy's volley scene has proven that right now is the best in the world, male, female, under teams, that tells a situation that cannot be ignored, it means the the infrastructure and the coaching is far beyond the level of the other nations and that is even more important than the individual strenght of the members of the teams. And let's not forget that those players play in the top domestic league of the world.

Fantastici favolosi incredibili abbiamo vinto con una squadra dove a parte 2 erano tutti esordienti al mondiale, un'età media di 24 anni ma un grande cuore, abbiamo vinto nonostante michieletto abbia giocato forse la sua peggior manifestazione da 2 anni a questa parte ma in finale si è ripreso e soprattutto ha fatto un gran lavoro sporco e questo solo i fuoriclasse lo sanno fare

Um dos campeonatos mais incríveis que já assisti. Jogos de alto nível. Não deu pro Brasil chegar a sua sexta final consecutiva, mas vida que segue. A Itália fez um ótimo campeonato e mereceu o título. Os italianos também fazem um ótimo trabalho nas categorias de base.
Por que a Itália é um time mediano!.
França teve azar desta vez no tie Break. Os americanos também. Tudo decidido no tie Break. Eita mundo cruel.

Tipo: pode sacar viagem mas não pode aterrissar dentro da quadra. O cara saca e já tá praticamente na linha dos 3 metros. Sei que o saque viagem é maravilhoso. Então vai continuar sacando fortemente.

I think it is better to get the bronze medal than the silver one, because then you finish the tournament with the win. It isn't easy to force yourself to celebrate the medal when you lose the most important match. Anyway, we should be happy and proud of our team for all the effort they put into this championship. Italy was better and they absolutely deserved to win. First they beat France in the quarterfinal and now they won over Poland in the final despite the audience beeing against them. Coach Fefè De Giorgi made a technical choice to focus on a young team that will have to grow in the future (and, let's face it, I don't think even he before the European Championships expected that the results would come so soon)
The commenting is awful, really skewed towards the polish side + the editing is terrible, showing off too many points from Poland when the winner was in fact Italy and too much time dedicated to the first set. Anyway, my italy 🇮🇹 won so I’m happy

Unfrotunatelly our supporters do that every time, but it's not a lack of respect, they just can't hold their emotions. During your national anthem everybody clapped and cheered :)

@@IlPandax Well said :) I saw a lot unfriendly comments both from Italian and Polish fans so I try to make some dyplomacy here and lighten the mood - why fitght, when Poland and Italy are two best teams in the world at the moment, both also with great Volleyball league. We should celebrate together, this won't last forever :)

- Świetna sportowa rywalizacja kibiców, do końca wspierałeś swoją drużynę radosnym dopingiem, oklaskiwałeś ich nawet jeśli przegrali, oklaskiwałeś też zwycięskie Włochy, wszyscy zostaliście do ceremonii wręczenia nagród i nie tylko i okazaliście wielką pasję do tego wspaniały sport.
- Wspaniała sportowa rywalizacja Waszych zawodników, finałowe brawa pod adresem zwycięzcy i tych z podziękowaniami dla publiczności, uściski i przejawy przyjaźni między polskimi i włoskimi zawodnikami i trenerami, radość ze zdobycia srebra (zamiast smutku czy złości z powodu przegranej złoto)
- Wspaniale było usłyszeć twój hymn narodowy śpiewany bez muzyki, tylko publiczności i chóru muzyków.
Tym razem wygraliśmy, ale wszyscy we Włoszech doceniają wartość swojej drużyny i szanują ją, zdobywca 2 kolejnych mistrzostw świata (gdybyście tym razem wygrali, dorównalibyście zarówno Włochom w latach 90., jak i Brazylii na początku 2000 r.), a w tym mistrzostwa wygrałeś dwa piękne i trudne mecze z bardzo silnymi USA i Brazylią.
Z niecierpliwością czekamy na powitanie ich we Włoszech i kibicowanie wszystkim waszym silnym graczom, którzy zagrają w naszej lidze w tym roku, i pozdrawiam wielu, którzy grali w przeszłości.
The only criticism i have to make to the Polish organization is about the matches who did not involve Poland. The hall was almost desperately empty, normally... This is not a great spot for the volley movement.
