Dumb and Dumber was a comedy classic from my childhood. One day a decade later, after buying weed, I saw the little known prequel Dumb and Dumberer in the used DVDs at Gamestop and bought it. I smoked a fat joint while watching that and didn't laugh once. It wasn't even a so-bad-its-good Sharknado type comedy. It was a disgrace to the original, which still makes me laugh (I'm 37).

Someone needs to make a movie called 'Human Resources' just so they can make a sequel to it called, 'Human Resources 2: This Time It's Personnel'
    I will see myself out.
But before I go, I will comment on my own white whale of a shitshow movie: Batman and Robin. The only movie I've ever paid money for and walked out in the middle of. Never even asked for a refund. I didn't even want the money I might have gotten back because it would have been tainted by association with it.

Endless Love (1981). While in high school, I went to see it with my girlfriend. She thought it was romantic. She noticed I had tears in my eyes halfway through and said it was because I was sensitive. The real reason - I was trying hard to hold back my laughter and not disturb the rest of the audience. We did not stay together very long after that.

My dad is really patient about films he doesn't care for. The few films he openly expresses dislike towards is shadow of doubt, which he says butchers one of the few books he's bothered to fully read, the secret life of pets, which he gave up on after 10 minutes for being annoying, and wonder woman 1984, which he finished but wishes he never saw.

The reboot of RoboCop wasn't as bad as Ghostbusters 2016 and it introduced some interesting concepts like Officer Murphy being administered drugs within his prosthetic body to have him carry out protocol, even if he ethically disagrees sometimes. The Giver would probably be mine. The book was one of my favorites when I was a kid - not exactly the most original sci-fi story, but well-written with a good plot and characters and interesting themes - and the movie stripped away every last ounce of subtlety and nuance to make a generic YA film with a totally unnecessary love story.

Cyberbully... For a movie that wanted to showcase how much out of hand internet trolling and harassment could get... It's excecution was just... Insipid...
Between the protagonist and the girls of the school being stereotypical valley girls, the hilariously botched suicide scene ("I CAN'T GET THE CAP OFF") and the fact that the little brother, the one character who set off the entire conflict of the movie faced 0 consequences for what he did was just... Bleh...
Made worse by the fact it was a Sy Fy movie... Because you know... Direct-to-tv movies gotta be as tame and family friendly as possible... Even by 2011 standards it was just... Worthless... Wich I find worse than terrible, at least the terrible movie either makes you laugh or makes you angry, this movie was the one time I legitimatley felt like I wasted my time...
I guess a close second could be some of the WWE movies back when they were going ham on turning their wrestlers into movie stars, but I kinda slept through most of them so... There's that, lol...

Not only does it have Denise Crosby, but it's so obvious they had a bunch of props and costumes from random movies and just thoought, 'What could we make with just this stuff?' If you enjoyed it, I highly recommend Oblivion, a cheap sci-fi western with aliens that has a similar 'throw in everything we have laying around' feel.

My friends and I will take bad movies apart for hours. Thought it looked like fun (also a costumer's nightmare).
But Robin Hood 2018 is so broken, so thin, and so poorly assembled that it feels like it runs right through you. When it was done, it was so empty in such a weird, slippery way we could barely quantify what was wrong with it. We eventually weakly settled on describing it as "a two hour trailer", "movie soup", and "like you spun a movie in a centrifuge until it died".

Then when she finally finds the plot, she fights M Bison, who's an irish real estate tycoon as opposed to a superpowered kung fu dictator. Every change that could make the story more boring was done.

So many terrible movies... not sure which to list. I'll go with these 2:
    1. Breaking the Waves. A mentally-deficient woman living in a tiny village in 1960s Scotland, I think, marries an oil rig worker. Soon he is injured and paralyzed. She prays and thinks God tells her to become a prostitute. She does so, in the tiny town. She gets beaten then murdered. The End.
    2. V.I. Warshawski. I worked at a movie theater that did a special pre-screening of this film for executives. I saw the first half, which was terrible, before I had to leave and prep the theater for business. The second half was worse. I told one of the executives who was a father of a producer that it would be in-and-out of the theater in two weeks. I was wrong, it was three. The father got offended that I told him my opinion. He complained to my manager. My manager scolded me but agreed the film sucked. Too bad the film bombed, the books have a big fan base and that was to be the first of a series. Poor Kathleen Turner never recovered.

I would nominate the movie of Silent Hill. So many pointless changes that completely missed the point of the story told in the game. I was fine with having the protagonist as a woman instead of a man, she had largely the same personality as the protagonist in the game, but they changed basically everything else. Alessa is suddenly a vengeful demon of wrath, rather than a terrified, hurt and monstrously abused child who didn't understand her own powers and wanted literally nothing else but to be left alone with the mother she loved despite her trying to burn her alive. Her mother is turned into a sympathetic character somehow, and her actual nature in the original story is just plastered onto another character pulled out of nowhere. They had a good quote from her in "when you're so hurt and scared for so long, the fear and pain turn to hate, and hate starts to change the world". Well, yes, that's a good quote, but Alessa in the game narrative doesn't have a cruel or hateful bone in her body, and the story is so much more impactful as a result, because for her, fear and pain *are what* changes the world, not hatred. It just skirted so close to getting the story right for about 15 minutes, and then just descended into "ooo spooky demon girl like The Ring." It was a mess.

My main issue w/ the movie is that the protagonist, Rose, was... just awful. The actress was like watching a plank of wood that was able to talk - dead eyes, dead expressions, dead voice. A mannequin that could move. I got towards the end of the movie wishing it was Rose that would have gotten roasted alive instead of Cybil the policewoman (played by the far more talented Laurie Holden).

Breathless (1960) I had heard a lot of buzz claiming it was an indisputable masterpiece, people compared Godard and his films to Kubrick, I was elated to see that it was airing on TCM in 2022 but alas.. breathless left me joyless, it was the most pretentious garbage I've ever seen, the characters were unlikable, the editing was shoddy, the script was horrid, worse of all.. the film's incredible premise was wasted and it was the epitome of boring, it's clear Godard was far up his own ass and tried desperately hard to make something inventive and revolutionary despite having no substance to create a genuinely compelling story, all he did was look at the broad strokes of noir cinema and the apathy of 60s teens and thought "I'm gonna make that a movie and everyone will think I'm cool" breathless is beyond worthless, let this comment be a warning, if someone recommends that you watch breathless, I don't care how amazing they claim it to be, for the love of god do not watch it, I will forever despise that film, my venality for it is endless.

I left halfway through for a bathroom break, and I only finished the movie because I drove a friend to see it with me and I didn’t want to strand him.
And then there’s *Armageddon.* My brother and I got free passes… still wasn’t worth what we paid for it.
And I’ll never forget seeing *The Phantom Menace.* Seeing and hearing the *Star Wars* theme and title after last seeing it with *Jedi* when I was 13… to have that elation immediately go to perplexment and then disappointment when reading the title scroll… and then (yawn) the rest of it… (snore) transpired.
And did I mention *Alien 3?*

Turning Red. The fact that there are so many people saying that that think it's a cute and relatable movie about a girl who turns into a red panda(which is supposed to represent PMS and periods) and gets away with nearly mauling a kid and stealing money from her classmates by prostituting her "panda" just to get into a boy band concert and keeping that toxic part of herself at the end really makes me lose faith in humanity and how we function🤮🤢😨. Oh and btw, did you know that Red Pandas aren't actually really related to Pandas? They're more related to Weasels and Raccoons. Bravo Disney! You can't even get the simplest thing right!!!🙄😡

Saving Christmas. This isn't a movie. It is Kirk Cameron lecturing you about why today's modern capitalist based customs are actually in line with the writings in the Bible. Seriously, a significant portion of the "movie' is Kirk and his friend sitting in their car in front of Kirk's house after the friend decides he doesn't like the modern Christmas holiday celebrations. Then they have the longest and most painful to watch dance scene at the end of the "movie" because they didn't have a way to end it, probably because you can't write an ending to a story that isn't a story.

Okay, wait... I feel I am experiencing one of those Mandela effect things. So this is one of my rare questions, not that I will get a response to a two year old video, but I might as well try:
This first movie mentioned: "Lawnmower Man 2: Beyond Cyberspace", is that in fact a thing somehow? See I do remember a "Lawnmower Man 2" but it was called "Jobe's War". Or is there multiple versions of this?
Now don't get me wrong, LM2 was crap, I do remember that, even for the time it had some of the worst "computer reality" representation I had ever seen. It was really bad, below what computers could really do in my case, but being the 1990s I assumed they needed to make it seem that way so actual boomers would get the unreality of it or something. I remember little of it besides that, but I did enjoy the original "Lawnmower Man" though I would not consider it one of the better Steven King movies. I think it went above the heads of many audiences for the time, much like John Carpenter's epic failure "Prince Of Darkness" which I felt was one of his better high concept, low-budget works.
EDIT: Oh and to get in the spirit, one of the worst movies I've made it through that wasn't some kind of horrible "Le Bad Cinema" abomination... you know where they were actually trying... was also a Steven King movie. Trust me if you think LM2 was bad, try watching "Maximum Overdrive" I seem to remember Steven King tried to direct that one himself and was supposed to be high most of the time. I suppose it did have a cool truck with a green goblin head on the front but otherwise... it's really hard to make a worse movie than this or a dumber seeming "mechanical revolt" movie. Seriously.... there is a reason most people forgot this one even with Steven King being involved.

And after that, he made himself a permanent victim whilst harassing her EVERYTIME that he saw her. Until he did the same thing. AND THEN he apologized.
