Long time no cooking series! haha💕 I thought cooking Lechon Kawali was way too easy and.. guess what?! It took us more than 2 hours in total.. LOL We rolled Lumpia too eventually and it was super fun🫶

If you already boiled the meat, its technically cooked inside out so you just want a crispy outside thats why you fry it.
The technique is to preheat the oil to super high before you drop the meat but less time so that the inside is still soft.

tip. you can also grate the carrots, onion or even food processor for your lumpia. also aside from pork and beef you can also substitute it with fish (steam it first) chicken meat, tofu and mushrooms (for vegetarian)
how about filipino dessert. like puto, maja blanka (easiest filipino traditional dessert) best partner with hot coffee OR mango float, graham balls, mango tapioca pearls smoothie for a modernized one. Also desserts would take more time to prepare before consuming.

You can try the variants of the one's you already tried cooking:
1. Lechon Paksiw - Make sure you use Mang Tomas for a more authentic taste. You'll have to look for it in a filipino grocery for sure.
2. Adobong Pusit - It's like adobo but with squid.... And it looks brownish black instead of brown.
3. Lumpiang Toge - It's like lumpia but using sukju namul (mung bean sprouts). You can use plain vinegar as a dip.

Poke the liempo then Boil the liempo well, set aside, heat oil well, put liempo in A casserole then pour hot oil in the casserole with the liempo with no flame , cover it.,optional, you can put lemon grass together with liempo while pouring hot oil then cover it, After a minute, place the oil again in a pan heat it, after a while put the liempo in the oil fry it in a minute then it done.

I think it would be interesting to see you guys make popular filipino noodle dishes. I know ramyun is popular in korea so it would be cool to hear your comments on cooking filipino noodle dishes.
"Lomi", "pancit canton" are examples of popular ones but theres more.
As for party food, well "sisig" is popular.
Since kimchi is a big part of the food culture in korea and is a vegetable dish, it would also be interesting to see you girls cook filipino vegetable dishes like "laing" and "adobong kangkong". Especially the variations that have meat in them like laing sometimes has lechon kawali.

When it comes to lumpiang shanghai, I always dipp it in sweet and sour or chili sauce, that is heaven taste for me.

@@SylviaKimit doesn't need to be refrigerated overnight. 1 hour or even 2 hours is enough. Graham cake just need to be eaten cold but not fully frozen.

Next time you can check how to properly wrap lumpia with closed ends. And you can cut the wrappers into two if they are too big for shanghai.
Try some pancit or pinoy spaghetti if you want party dishes.
Harder cuisine maybe karekare / menudo / caldereta / dinuguan.

you should try cooking Sizzling Sisig !!! I think it's one of the most difficult to cook or make a Mang inasal styled fried chicken which is grilled & has a marinated sauce
