In 1982 When I first started collecting coins, if I came across 1952 Wheatie I would be so stoked and I would think to myself 'how cool is it to find a thirty-year-old Lincon Cent?' Now that I'm older, thirty-year-old coins don't seem as old to me as they did to that 12-year-old boy, but here's the rub, they are. It's only my perspective that has changed, and I need to remember to be that 12-year-old boy again when I look at 'ultra moderns'.
This was an absolute amazing video and so information. I think I filled half of my new notebook with every word you said. I know! You are a great teacher and orator thanks a million. I am busyyyyy er now! Keep it coming and take care!!!
Hi Sean, you mentioned that you were sick a few months ago. Are you recovering ok ? My buddy just got sick and I told him I didn't know anyone directly that had got it. Any thing I could pass along to him he could expect? Thanks buddy. Take Care
I have a 69 Nickle with 0 steps across, what can I do with this coin to sell it now or today ? I'm very new to this Hobbie and really wanna sell something to know for fact this is worth investing money in ...thank you for any advice
BRS, I just want to ask about the 54 D/D nickel. In your opinion, given the picture shown in the vid, would you give it an MS66? Looks like a well circulated coin. Maybe I'm just too tough on grading but F-VF would be in live with my opinion. Cheap USB microscope?!? I like the sound of that. Cheap is my middle name!! I see the one from Celestron for $100. That is $30 cheaper than another seller I saw. Was that the cheap one you referred to? With a middle name like cheap, I would like a decent microscope for even less. :) Have you tried any others or heard any good reviews by real people concerning a less expensive model?
Ok... I've got a question... How can you tell these coins are registry set coins?? I mean.. That 61 quarter is a ms 67+?? I have better looking coins in an old flip book, for cryin out loud! I just need to know about registry sets before I send my coibs out to grade and auction, expecting 4 digit sales numbers. Thank you.
Hey Sean, where can I sell my buffalo, v-liberty head and war nickels??? I have quite a few of those. I also have some walking library quarters and some barber quarters.
BRS, Another quick question about FS grading via PCGS. When PCGS grades a nickel FS, does that imply 5 steps or 6 steps? BTW, I was looking at a few nice coins I have with not quite 5 steps, but had 5 steps on the left and right sides of the building. I didn't even know there were steps there until you mentioned it.
What do you mean by loop. Im using a 10 x and cant see it too well. I have a 39, 42 and 46. ' the 46 looks identical to the one that sold, but dont know
How often i wish i could go back to the late 50s when i started collecting bottle caps ,stamps and coins and dead bugs,I could go thru mom and dad cans of coins that they used for betting on poker games with their many friends twice a month and could only afford to keep the best condition coins..When i had more than a buck i could go to the bank and get a nice shiny bagged silver dollar of my choice that were destined to be melted down.I still have some bottles full of pre 30s pennies in averege condition that could potentially make me richer by 9 cents each.Whoppt dee do.
I have seen the counterfeit '44 nickle before and you can tell the material comp is a bit different, they have kind of a dull satin hue to them. Very interesting line up! Gonna have to keep my eye out. Thanks!
Iv got a fue really nice 64 , 68 , 74 and another date I can't think off the top of my head...but I agree these coins have been ignored !! So now you think there being noticed??? How do I get them graded??? Who can I get a hold of to see if what I have bgg is anything?? Iv been saving all my Washington quarters and Jefferson nickles and roosevelt dimes for a while now!! I new one day they would come bavk!!!
Good evening Shaun I been watching your collection on you tube and I decided to do some collecting too so I won’t be bored at home during this covid thing’s happening in the world and I found some Buffalo nickel in
What do you do when you inherit a collection and you dont know who to trust to have them appraised? My Grandma Viola when she died was almost 102 so i have Quite A Bit, soo hard to guess on grade by myself but was already ripped off once & Dont want it to happen again, Please Help? Tag me i watch my Notifications!
I got a 2020 w quarter has a fruit bat on the reverse and a 2019 w quarter has the pinwheel where can I cash it in at if there is a place to go to get them check out
Hey Shaun great video. I have a 1989 penny with the fg from a 1988 penny. I hope its the real thing. Thanks Shaun for all the knowledge that you share with us. I hope that other people feel the same. Thanks
I have a quarter that has a side that is normal and the other side is not. Also the side all the way around is smooth. It is slightly smaller in circumference than all others.
Good info like always just feel like I'm running into dead ends. I got a job which is great but knees and back killing me even after a take pain pills.
Thank you blue ridge I cannot believe that some of those coins went for such high premiums for the grade that they had. Hopefully this will be the trend for the future.
Belated fourth of July Sean. I have a Jefferson nickel dated 2000 with a copper obverse arms regular reverse. For sure it is a mount error, I wanted to know if it's worth grading or sell it raw as is??? Thanks
I have a fairly accurate database of my junk silver and note I have fourteen 1951S Roosevelt dimes. On some bad-weather day when I want to stay inside, I'll have to pull them out and take a closer look at them!
hey bro blueridge really appreciate all your informations on rarity and error updates and I believe I just landed on one of the henning 1946 no mint mark with the loop on the R....wow guess I landed a pretty nice chunk of change....thanks bro and if I get $1000 bucks i'll be sure to give a donation for your awesome info and all you do for us fellow coin hobbyist...
The 1941 (no mint mark) nickel was made in Philadelphia. It has a mintage of 203,265,000 pieces. Because of the high mintage, it's only worth about 10 cents or so. 🙂
Good afternoon from Mexican water Arizona today I found a 1989 P nickel with a line going down the side of the face like it's the hair but it's not by the hair as going down the side of the face looks like a snake
The 1937 Buffalo nickel has a relatively high mintage (79.5 million), so unless it's in uncirculated condition, it's only going to be worth about 20-25 cents or so. 🙂
Something isn’t because this or that coin has been scored over 25 plus years an my coin same one even in better condition but because it has a score I don’t have a chance unless I spend A college tuition is all good I understand part of it makes it fun hunting the right coin , find the best ones are the one with the right mistakes ....God bless you all thank you for the information video appreciate it very much.....
I have so ,so many coins, from the 1800’s through 2020, from the U.S and from all over the world, but it seems like I can’t find a buyer for any of them. I keep getting the comment “ send them off to be graded” , but I’m very leery of mailing my coins off, because of horror stories that I have been told, by people who have sent theirs off and gotten replacements back , instead of the ones that they sent in. ??????
Funnily enough, that coin has no nickel in it. Nickel was a critical war material, so they replaced it with a mix of 56% copper, 35% silver and 9% manganese. Over 271 million of these "big P" coins were minted, so even with the silver content, they're only worth about 50-75 cents or so.
The 1992-D quarter was minted in Denver and has a mintage of 389,777,107 pieces. The coin weighs 5.67 grams. Its outer layer is made out of copper-nickel (75% copper and 25% nickel) and is bonded to an inner core of pure copper. Since it's so plentiful, it's not worth much more than face value. 🙂
BLUERIDGE HOUND I AM SO HAPPY YOU KNOW THE MARKET. YOU ARE SO KIND TO SHARE THAT INFO. THATS WHAT MAKES YOU A RICH MAN. THANKS ALWAYS !
I have 2010 1C Union Shield BU First Day Ceremony in NGC. Do I need to send it for grading ? Do I need to send it still in plastic holder?
You are the man! This Is My Jam I I look forward to it every week and Pocket Change Report thank you sir

This was an absolute amazing video and so information. I think I filled half of my new notebook with every word you said. I know! You are a great teacher and orator thanks a million. I am busyyyyy er now! Keep it coming and take care!!!

Wow that counterfeit nickel was neat, crazy lol ✌💕
How can you tell from circulated coins which of em was taken from set before circulated?
