OMGosh, that poor mother, on so many levels. I felt so bad for the older little girl 'cause she just needed her mother's comfort, but the mother had her hands full with the baby. Seeing Dr. Paul pick the little girl up and just hold her in his arms to comfort her was so touching.
Mums can never take a sick day. Even when sick, she cares for everyone around her and puts their needs before her own. Really feel for her not having two laps. Must be so hard when both kids are so sick but you can only hold one at a time. Dr Paul was so lovely to pick the little girl up and comfort her. I bet her mum appreciated that too. My 10 month old niece has just been diagnosed with RSV and her older sister had it about 3 years ago when she was 7 months old. It’s a horrible illness and you feel a bit helpless because you wish you could just wave a magic wand and make it all better for them. Hope this mama has plenty of support at home ❤️
OMG 😢I will never forget how depressed I was when my 1 and half year old daughter and new born twins had RSV. I thought my son was going to die, he quit breathing 3 times. Thank God they are alive and healthy and older ❤
Omg i know exactly how mum ist feeling. Had Same Thing with my 10 month old and my 3 year old. I didnt eat or sleep for days. Just brest feeding an Holding both at the same time. My Kids fit ohne Virus after the other. Sick for weeks and weeks.
I’m so glad we can comment now! Love Dr Paul and family ❤ My son had RSV when he was 14 months old and he had to be hospitalized for 3 days. The ambulance ride to the children’s hospital from our rural area (1 hr) was so scary he had a blueness to him. His oxygen was at 84-86. But kids heal and recover and he’s 5 now.

Poor little girl, she NEEDS to get home & get to bed!!! It's probably her ears that are killing her more than anything! I hope they all got better quick! That poor Mother having 3 sick kids, plus being sick herself, is just too much! Dr. Paul is such a Wonderful Pediatrician. It makes me madder than hell knowing what the SCUMMER Medical Board did to him, that he basically was forced to go & give up his Medical License that he worked hard to obtain! However, they Cannot Stop him from being a Valuable "Consultant" to his practice.
dr. paul, you are still a doctor and a license does not dictate what your reputation proves without a shadow of a doubt... you are THE BEST AND MOST CARING AND LOVING PEDIATRICIAN there is. the children of this generation need you now more than ever. Families need you. WE need you. So get back to work!
I wanted to hold the big sister so bad. My heart is with the littles. I worked pediatrics years ago and loved it. I’m thinking of holding N.I.C.U. Babies now that I’m an old lady. I’m blessed to at least rock my grand babies. Children are such a gift. You’re an amazing doctor.
As a former NICU mama, if you have a chance to go love on those babies, please do. I was fortunate enough to live 1hr from the NICU so I was able to drive every day, but saw so many little ones who's parents were too far away or had other children to take care of. NICU nurses, doctors and volunteers are so special.
You should do it. It's an absolutely wonderful service to do. The parents would be incredibly grateful for & I'm sure having been in pediatrics would make you an ideal volunteer to work with them.
I’m a twin & my parents had 7 kids in 9 yrs. We got very little one on one time with mom. I had to have open heart surgery & when I got out of hospital I got very little time with mom too. These kids are lucky to me to even have mom around. Many families are working now so lots of kids that don’t get mom much. 😢😢😢
Your family is so lucky to have you as a husband and dad. You are amazing person. My hugs and kisses go out to you. God bless you now and forever 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊
I know this was recorded in November... and I'm sure this sweet family is healthy now, but wow, I'm so sorry! My babes are a bit bigger now, but I remember these days of icky sickness! I would have asked Dr. Paul to come home with me to be my emotional support! 😭 Such a kind man!
The best doctor I have ever met when my twin children were suffering from coughing and stomach ache . The best thing I liked and my children liked was the way he treated them when they afraid Thank you very muchYou made my children love you so much, thank you
Ooh that poor momma, I've been there and it's an awful feeling. Poor baby's, so hard having such sick kids and having to just pray and wait for them to get better.
I'm dealing with a chest infection at the moment, it's been a couple of years since I had one, but I'm watching this and my heart goes out to these children and their mum. Respiratory infections are extremely hard to cope with, and are very slow to recover from. I'm a grown man and this viral infection knocks me for six, so these little children are suffering terribly here. Their body will fight the infection and will beat it, but it does seem like it takes forever. These infections also sap your energy levels, so plenty of rest is important. Their poor mother is also suffering having to deal with this, but her babies will recover. ❤
Dr paul is the most LOVING doctor i have ever seen! I live in the uk and I would literally travel to see him if i needed help!! My doctors here are awful but dr paul listens to every word you say and treats you like gold ❤️good doctor with a big heart ❤️
Shes very strong and their brother was sick too. I'm a nervous wreck when my only child was sick around their ages , he's 6 now. This momma was sitting with 2 kids ell 3 that had temperatures. 🙌Respect to that mom
I feel so bad for this mother and her little ones. Poor babies are so miserable, I could cry. My Godson had the Croup, on and off as a baby, up to about, 2 years old, and oh how I use to get so worried. My sister, would sit in her closed bathroom, with him, for about an hour, while running hot steamy water, the steam helped alleviate the bad cough. I love to watch Dr. Paul because, he is so good with children, and is a very compassionate, and pleasant man. And, very informative. You can see why he was destined to be the best pediatrician. God bless. 👍❤️🙏😇😇🥼🩺
My 5 year old had RSV in September last year, it caused her to get RSV pneumonia! She would not drink enough, she coughed so much she gagged and was scared of throwing up. Highest fever was almost 104 and I had to give her a less than warm bath and Tylenol was given but it just wouldn't go below 102 for 3 days after two ER visits, she was finally admitted due to low oxygen. She's ok now, but my poor girl. I bought a pulse Oxygen sensor for this reason. She's had pneumonia when she was 1 too.
Dr.Paul is the Best Dr Ever. we miss you Dr.. I feel so bad that the babies are sick :( and i feel so bad for mom too cause she looks so worried and tired and as a mom you wont eat or sleep untill you see them better. god bless them babies, mom and i wish for them to get well soon.
In nursing school, back in the olden days, 1984, we were taught PPD, postural percussion and drainage. I taught this to many parents. I did this for my children and even for my husband although that involved couch pillows. I don't know why it's no longer done. I gave them an expectoran, big glass of whatever they would drink. After about 30 min, the shower getting the bathroom steamy, I gave them a bath. During the bath we sang as loud as they could.(no neighbors) we would sing and as they took breath deep enough to really belt out 3 blind mice etc, they would cough up a lot. After the steamy concert, PJs on, I sat on the bed with a kid over a pillow, butt up & head down & started drumming. My singing "Babaloo" always made them laugh, more coughing. We sang more, they liked the sound like singing into a fan. With cupped hands, I would pat firmly and quickly, alternating hands. The purpose being to cause vibration that helps shake loose phlegm. I'm you know about this doc, I don't know if anyone else would. Anyway, it helped my kids a lot. The bath feels good because you just feel sweaty & snotty, getting up as much as possible let them get good deep sleep. I didn't give cough suppressant or decongestant because I wanted them to have the mucous. As you know, with fever & some dehydration 9the phlegm gets thick. They work so hard to get it up they are exhausted just from coughing. 😉And in conclusion to this chapter, why is no longer done? Nurses now have no idea what PPD is.
I have a daughter with a history of respiratory distress - one of the first things the nurses and respiratory therapists trained us on in the hospital was percussion therapy. I've used it on ALL my kids - best tool in my toolbox!
I had what was believed to be RSV (though we never tested) in October 2022; it was the most miserable thing ever. I can't imagine how these two girls must feel 😢 Praying for a swift recovery 🙏❤
@@melissathefamit was more likely RSV. It was running rampant for several months last year. I had it. It definitely wasn’t Covid. It didn’t even feel like Covid. It actually felt worse.
Adults don't usually get RSV unless they are elderly or have some other chronic medical condition. In us it's really just a bad chest cold. Which can totally suck! My dad recently ended up with pneumonia after a bad cold. He gave it to my mom too and she also said it was worse than when she had Covid.
I had COVID in March of last year, it was mild; well, compared to this suspected RSV. RSV was 1000 times worse. An older lady I know had it, at the same time as me, and it took her four weeks (atleast) to recover. Ever since having it, I've had 4 colds, and am now paranoid about getting RSV again. It's brutal.
When the guy at the end takes the camera and says "I dont know how you do it" to us parents, yeah, we don't know how we do it either. This video was a great reminder to me why I only have one child and am not yet even considering introducing a baby to the equation. My daughter just turned 4 and is rounding out her first year of preschool and HOLY COW I've never seen her sick so many times in a year, it's shocking how many colds and viruses they get when they start school.
Those poor kids.....I am 81 and my husband is 93 and we both had RSV in January. I was very sick....in bed with a temp for a whole week. My husband wasn't as sick, but his cough was worse. He coughed too hard and fell and badly bruised his ribs. He thought they were broken and we went to the ER....that is when we learned that we had RSV. He was hospitalized for 2 days.....and that helped me too. I was finally able to get some rest. It is miserable.
He is the guy you want to have seated besides you in the plane when your baby starts crying. Not because of possible help, but because he won't look at you every 20 seconds with killer eyes.
RSV is so bad. Way worse then covid or strep. I got it myself from my little one. For both of us it was worse experience. Poor mom. Two sick kids must be horrible
I am days away from being 78 and I started with cold and cough symptoms and then lost my voice and coughed like a barking dog. It got so bad that I had to go to the emergency room. I never had so many doctors and nurses around me and was admitted to the hospital that evening. The first thing they did was hook me up to oxygen and that continued for the 5 days I spent in the hospital. VIRAL was all they could say because they did so many tests and images of my throat, ears, etc. The cough was so bad that they were also afraid I had damaged vocal cords. CROUP was all they could come up with. I know they were concerned about my oxygen level and if they should send me home on oxygen. I am home now and doing well, but it took me another good two weeks to get my voice back. When my son was 4 he had croup and I nursed him through it and then I got it and ended up in the hospital for several days back then. Childhood Disease, I don't think so. HA HA!!!!
Imagine having to handle two little babies sick with RSV, taking care of a home/other tasks AND needing to work a full-time job. Being a stay at home mom is such a benefit to growing children.
I just lost my 2 month old daughter last week Wednesday she just stopped breathing we rushed her to the nearest clinic when we got there she had no heartbeat..worse they didn't even try anything to try n safe her...they took her to the mortuary n the Friday when I went to bath her she still had fresh blood coming out of her mouth 💔😭
Thank you so much for this very educational video! It helps us mommies be our babies’ best advocates for getting them well again without unnecessary medications/vaccines!!
I was working in a daycare and told young adults couldn't get rsv so I didn't get tested but I was sick with respiratory symptoms for 5 weeks. Absolutely miserable
I love watching these but this hit different. I use to be a very sick kid. Even recently when I was 20 despite that being years ago, I fell sick so sick three times in a row back to back to back. Couldnt breathe. Crying because I felt like I was dying. I felt like a child crying the way I was. I was scared for my life. I understood the misery these kids felt. That fear struck my heart instantly when I heard them cry because all that pain came back to me too.
I know the baby is sick but it took 11 minutes before either of them gave the little girl who is also extremely not well a moments attention. This made me so sad and I just wanted to reach through this screen and hold her. The entire 16 min video she was sitting in that chair crying while everyone rambled on. Somebody could have given her attention while they talked.
In the Qur'an, which is the book of Muslims, there is a sentence that says...heaven exists under the feet of mothers...and he wants to say that mothers deserve heaven because of their love for their children and the hardships they endure.
I used to watch your videos over 5 years ago when I was still in high school. I've always loved watching and learning from you. Now I'm married and pregnant with (hopefully) my rainbow baby 🥰
About 20 or so years ago my granddaughters were both diagnosed with RSV. The doctor told us to take the bulb syringe and suck out the nostrils every 10 minutes. It worked.
RSV is awful for children, l had it then my husband and daughter had it. We were ill for months l never really recovered then had a massive heart attack which has left me with heart failure. ❤
The mom needs to comfort both children. Her poor older daughter is just sobbing and she’s doing nothing to calm or comfort her. You have 2 arms for a reason!

My kids went through something very similar. This is going back to 1992! The doc thought it might be a form of pertussis (he’d had a bad reaction to the old vaccine and it was stopped after one dose). But dang both timewise and symptom wise it looked and sounded like this. Went through all the kids. (Including those with full pertussis vaccine). We never heard about RSV back then.

My son had it twice when he was little. And was hospitalized both times. It was the scariest time of my life.
Brilliant 👏🏼 love watching your videos! Thanks for posting
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Thank you so much for this very educational video! It helps us mommies be our babies’ best advocates for getting them well again without unnecessary medications/vaccines!!
😭 I can’t stand to see kids sick. Oh my goodness I would be sick for them. So sad. I was crying watching this. Lord help these babies
I was working in a daycare and told young adults couldn't get rsv so I didn't get tested but I was sick with respiratory symptoms for 5 weeks. Absolutely miserable
that poor little girl 😢😢😢😢😢😢 and that poor baby 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 😢😢😢 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
dr pual is so sweet
I love watching these but this hit different. I use to be a very sick kid. Even recently when I was 20 despite that being years ago, I fell sick so sick three times in a row back to back to back. Couldnt breathe. Crying because I felt like I was dying. I felt like a child crying the way I was. I was scared for my life. I understood the misery these kids felt. That fear struck my heart instantly when I heard them cry because all that pain came back to me too.
oh my goodness dear lord please 🙏 heal the mom and please 🙏 heal those 2 kids fast 💨 ❤❤❤ and Jesus name we pray 🙏 amen 🙏
This was filmed in November. They’re already better

Ikr its like stop giving the baby so much attention like yea she's younger but what about the order girl too
We miss you Dr Paul! This was great to see as at this very moment we have RSV in our family unit. We is the infectious period?
That’s terrible! Poor babies! Just fluids! We want magic when we go to the doctor.
Poor mum needs help. Little girl missing out on being comforted as baby needs all mum’s attention
In the Qur'an, which is the book of Muslims, there is a sentence that says...heaven exists under the feet of mothers...and he wants to say that mothers deserve heaven because of their love for their children and the hardships they endure.
Man, those are two MISERABLE kids! Poor little things! It’s sooo hard for kids when they’re extremely ill.
When my kids got this sick with RSV my pediatrician gave us albuterol it really helped.
Poor darlings 😢
yeah the poor girl is just like "I don't want to be here let me go home!"
I used to watch your videos over 5 years ago when I was still in high school. I've always loved watching and learning from you. Now I'm married and pregnant with (hopefully) my rainbow baby 🥰
that little girl didn’t care about toys
Ooooh I have been this mom with 3 kids with RSV and it was just miserable.
@@sheri4673 I get that she has a baby but when you’re child is sobbing because they’re miserably sick you comfort them!
Ummm..isn’t that contagious if positive for RVS? Or am i missing something? Im asking because no one is wearing a mask
Right? I think this guy is an antivax type unfortunately but I'm not sure
@@mybruisedarmgrowing up in ever had doctors wear a mask for common childhood viruses. Even with influenza I’ve never had a nurse wear a mask around my children currently.
@@mybruisedarm Not anti vax but not in support of giving doses of multiple vaccines all at once and understanding that due to genetics, not all vaccines should be given. If an entire family had a serious vaccine injury, the next born shouldn’t be given that vaccine… stuff like that.
