One thing I learned the hard way, when checking the basket, inner hub, and pressure plate for ridges, be mindful that the edges are machined and may have sharp edges. Slit my finger open on a basket once checking mine. Great tutorial, and shows just how serviceable these machines can be.
Honestly, didn’t look that hard, given you’re a pro. Going to attempt to install my momentum kit this weekend 🍻
Nice. I’ve been waiting for one of these. Thanks 🤙🏻
Great tutorial ! Just a little note when you did a plate swap on a KX 450 I think you stated steel drive plate orientation wasn’t important but as Ron showed putting the shape edge up is best ( because when the clutch is clamping down the shape edges don’t dig into the inner hub causing a lag and uneven engagement during the power application phase) Smoooth baby! Thanks for all you do for us your efforts don’t go unnoticed! Also KEEP the mountain biking in your videos it keeps me motivated! ❤️💪🏁
I've always wondered about the shaped edge. Thanks!
Thank you so much for recording such an awesome video!
Is it a big deal if I didnt pay attention of the sharp edge and on lining them when I instal mine on my 2010 kx450f?
How different is the 9 plate clutch kit
Just installed my Hinson clutch and bike wont stop creeping no matter how or which way I adjust lever adjustment]
How did you fix it?
Did you soak the plates? Did you check for engagement before putting plate on?
16:49 😒🙄 super annoying you cut out the part where the basket slipped on. Currently fighting mine, bikes on its side like you guys have it. And will not go in. Imma try slipping on spinning like before the cut was made.
