Overheating A Playstation 3 (To See What Happens)

My PS4 once had its power supply randomly fail during a gaming session, so I thought I'd try this with the PS3 out of curiosity.

This brought back so many ps3 memories haha. I've played without anything coving the fans and have had the system go super Saiyan and shut off like this. Air duster time, a few forced fan tests on ps3 start to blow the extra dust out in which air duster couldn't get to, and back to gaming until the next few months down the road to do it again. When you took the cover off the top I laughed to myself because my disk reader started going out, and occasionally it'd read disk and work fine though rarely. You could here it spinning the disk up fast, then slowed, fast, and slow in repeat when it couldn't read the disk. When it wanted to read , it didn't spin up fast like that instantly. I fixed this disk reading problem by not only permanently removing the ps3 cover, but also removing top metal lid on the disk drive. Plop a disk in and use my finger on the spinning disk like a DJ to adjust the spin of it to slow it down some (not too much or it would not work) to give it more time to read the disk before auto spinning up and trying again, and it would read the games every time. Basically I had to stop auto disk spin-up the system would do when trying to read disks, so it could actually read the disk. I used the system for half a year like this lol. Best part was if mid game of a COD match, and disk error sometimes popped up on screen. If caught fast enough and manually adjust the disk speed again, I could get the game to start working normally and not be kickout of the game to the main PS3 XMB menu. Good times lmao

sony have a very good system, because if ps3 or later overating, it force itseft to get down and lock power the time temp reduce
