Always an immersive experience, the phenomenal talents of Phil Selmes never fail to feed the viewer with not only an educational involvement but also, a visual feast of Australia's and indeed, natures incredible and unique ability, to continue to evolve and thrive under astonishing and seemingly unlikely circumstances. "K'gari" is yet another superb documentary, once more beautifully filmed and researched, sewn together into a story-tellers tapestry. Culminated with the magnificent vocal tones of narrator, Steve Chambers, once more Phil delivers impressions and insights with maturity, suaveness and sophistication. Another documentary to be proud of, it is an adventure into Australia's individuality combining truth and beauty through the eye of an artist.

💪
But to keep wild still wild..We need to stay away.
But just imagine yourself there..
Thanks for watching, I understand the sentiment. As long as we can all respect these places and leave them exactly as we found them I don't see a need to stay away. The natural world feeds my soul, I'd hate to think of a day where we are prohibited from accessing it. Cheers Phil

Thanks for watching, stay safe, cheers Phil
chances are it wasnt an island during the ice age.....
It would almost certainly have been attached to the mainland before the last Ice Age, just like Tasmania, kangaroo Island and many others Thanks for watching, cheers Phil

Its called Frazer Island ,NOT Kgari
Thanks for watching, the Queensland Government actually changed the name in 2023, details are here: www.resources.qld.gov.au/land-property/initiatives/kgari/about Hope you enjoyed the documentary. Stay safe, cheers Phil
@@IntotheWildFilms I lived on Russel island in Moreton bay ive been to Frazer Island many times back in the 70s ,and it will always be called Frazer Island ,same deal as Ayres Rock ,and im Indigenous as well
I'm not judging you mate, you are free to call it whatever you like. I'm a documentary film maker and I need to present the information as factually correct. I dont care what anyone calls it. I still call it Fraser Island myself, just a habit from travelling there for many years before it was renamed. Cheers Phil
@@IntotheWildFilms No probs ,i will call it what the true name it is
@@douglasbanks3318 No worries, stay safe mate. Cheers Phil
"Australia's traditional language" It really isn't that simple "People first migrated to Australia at least 65,000 years ago, and over time formed as many as 500 language-based groups."
Spot on, thanks for watching, cheers Phil
I hate how they keep changing all the names of Aussie places
I hope you enjoyed the video though, thanks for watching, cheers Phil
It was cool mate@@IntotheWildFilms
I would hope we change most places to their original names. They all sound better and aren't associated to some country on the other side of the planet. Cheers from Yugambeh country.
Australian people,can eat the swans
Ummmm... ok, Thanks for watching, stay safe, cheers Phil
You got name wrong it Fraser island not other, get right,

@@IntotheWildFilms I am queenslander, born here lived here 74 years,it Fraser Island,I do not believe in stolen gen stuff, the voice thing was biggest waste money, all men born equal,so why now government pander to one group spend millions of tax payers $ that wasted, get drift.
That's fine Ross, you are free to hold your own beliefs, that's the wonderful thing about democracy. You said I "got name wrong" but as I'm sure you know your goverment changed the name as detailed in the link above. All I'm doing is using factually correct information at the time the documentary was made. Take care Ross, cheers Phil
Fabulous island but why the hell the name was changed I’ll never know;how many Australians speak the indigenous language and even if we did, which dialect would we use !!!!!!!!😂
Thanks for watching Rob, it certainly is a beautiful island, truly unique. Stay safe mate, all the best, cheers Phil
How stupid is it to drive with huge fourwheel cars in the sanddunes and on the beach just for fun - killing animals and plants
Thanks for watching, driving a 4x4 along the beach is the only real way to get around on K'gari. The vast majority of drivers are responsible and respectful about protecting the natural habitat. But like anywhere there is a small number who do the wrong thing. Stay safe, cheers Phil
Worse still in the terrains of England
Thanks for watching, stay safe, cheers Phil
Using that name, you just lost a subscriber.
Ok thanks for letting me know, sorry to lose you. Stay safe mate, all the best, cheers Phil
