He never had schizophrenia... He's been there, consistent, all in one place, all the time. May be he had a few may pills one day and some Nobel prize labelled it that way. You'll never see true schizophrenics having this kind of 40 years spanning career at the top.

Thanks for this video Mick is one of my favorite influences in music I graduated in 81 so I was always listening to metal but Mick kick started my heart Thanks for this mick
I never really got into Crue or the 80’s metal scene but as a decades long amateur guitarist, I think Mars is the best pure player of that entire era that I’ve ever heard.
Such an underrated guitar player . He’s honestly in my top 3 . Even though Nikki wrote great songs and Tommy is a great drummer . Mick really carried that band instrumentally .
Mick Mars is a legend in so many ways, but to live in pain for decades and to get up on stage every night when touring and giving it 100% knowing that he only has 50% in the tank. He never goes on and on about his health issues as he is a gentle man and a man of pride.
Hes my cousin. Never met him. I was told about his family through my my.late grandmother that raised me when I started playing guitar at 8 years old he's a legend.
I always loved Mick just for his ready to party style personality and even moreso for his brutal guitar riffs especially the early stuff off too fast for love 🤟
I can relate to him in so many ways. I was diagnosed a couple of years ago with ankylosing spondylitis and evidently I've had it for several years. I am already starting to hunch over. The pain is unbearable sometimes and I cannot get one doctor to give me anything for pain so I can see why he turned to drugs. There are some nights when I just lay there and cry until I'm exhausted and I finally fall asleep. I go two and three days without sleeping and finally pass out from exhaustion. I completely understand about the 'opiate crisis'but there are some times when it is just cruel to let someone hurt so bad that they contemplate suicide. Your quality of life is shit and you beg for God to please take you. I have stopped seeing doctors all together because when you try to get help (something for pain) they act like it's coming out of their own stash! My heart goes out to him and I wish him all the best. 🙂
Irene I have crippling RA and polymyalgia and I have had a hip replacement and two knee replacements I know what a painful struggle it is on a daily basis. I am due for the replacement of the other hip. Be strong and keep going and may GOD be with you. You are not alone.
i just tested positive for the HLA-B27 gene which means there is a high percentage i have a form of genetic SpA , as well as some other stuff. weighing my treatment options now before deciding in the coming weeks. What have you tried and what do you find best for you're issues? i am currently 24 years old , play guitar in a band all over the Chicago-land area & parts of the Midwest , for the past 6 months have been dealing with chronic pain & inflammation , i've slowly begun lifestyle changes to help this disease.
Doctors now are afraid to prescribe them. There's a stigma attached. A few years ago the DEA cracked down on prescribing, prescribers, and pharmacists. I've been on and off them for 20 years myself. If you find a pain management doctor you can trust with your well being, and they can trust you, it's an honest deal you have to make with them. I actually prefer cortisone shots and Prednisone over opiates. But yes there are days to weeks at a time I need pain meds 24/7. But can go just as long not needing anything. Best of luck to you 💜
Mick is the real deal! No pun intended 😉 A true rock star is someone like him that pushes through the pain and perseveres! HUGE respect. Saw him kill it on tour this summer and stood watching in awe how this guy just gets up there and does it again tour after tour. Man it must be hard. I think he gave his all and no one could or should have any complaint against him!!!

I was introduced to Motley Crue in Pensacola, FL at the age of 9, in 1990. Someone had spray painted "Motley Crue" on the outside of a gas station wall. My Granny took me to the mall not long after that. Bought a Motley Crue Cassette Tape. The rest is history.
Very interesting. I thought he was that way because he just stayed so engrossed with his guitar. I have lost 2 inches in height but that is due to Thoracic Spine Fractures at T2, T3, T6, T8, T9, and T10. So I understand his pain.
The cool thing about Mick Mars is his singular commitment to playing guitar. That's all he does and he's a zen guitar master because of it. Regardless if you like their music or not, Mars deserves to be taken seriously as a player.
It doesn't surprise me one bit that Mick started out Country. As a guitarist of 41 years myself,..I can hear, not just the blues, but the Country influence in his playing.
My best friend that I grew up with is best friends with Mick’s daughter. They had tickets to go see Motley Crue and even had back stage tickets. Well the concert was canceled because of the virus.

@@wantsome-zs5sq Take it with a grain of salt bc this video is filled with inaccuracies.
Substance abuse/addiction can cause or make a genetic tendency happen.
He never had schizophrenia... He's been there, consistent, all in one place, all the time. May be he had a few may pills one day and some Nobel prize labelled it that way. You'll never see true schizophrenics having this kind of 40 years spanning career at the top.
Mick has been down through there and seen the good bad and the ugly…
Mick Mars, one of the MOST underrated guitarist ever!... He really deserver a signature guitar series (B.C. Rich or a Gibson).
He was also one of my reasons to buy a B.C. Rich
Mick Mars guitar tone/sound in Motley Crue is the deal maker for me!
Mick is awesome, i love his style. I love his solos, that Home sweet home solo and that Too young to fall in love solo are so cool.
Mick Mars to me, is the best guitarist out there. His riffs are legendary. As alot of comments have said, without him there is no Motley Crue. They are spot on!
Wow!! Someone finally put out a a awesome video of one of my hero's.
Mick just has that something about him and his playing. He's a one of a kind.
And without him you have no Motley Crue. Name of sound.
Mick Mars is an absolutely amazing guitarist. I think he's one of the greatest guitarists on the planet.
Mick Mars when he plays is monsterous its like a wall of guitars sound. Always loved his tone .
Mick Mars needs more recognition.he is silent shredder.will always be my favorite guitarist .Mick you rock hard
Thanks for all the Music and helping us through life with it! Without sounding corny..We love you Mick! Seen your first and what I thought was your farewell show, but thank god it looks like you got more coming for us!!
I just found out through this video that Mick Mars and I were born on the same day, the same year! Go "Double Nickels" - 1955! I've always been drawn to his mind-bending guitar skills. Be well, Mick, and a belated happy birthday!
Actually Mick was born in 1951
Mick was a big influence, that shout at the devil album just blew me away when it came out
Thanks for this video
Mick is one of my favorite influences in music
I graduated in 81 so I was always listening to metal but Mick kick started my heart
Thanks for this mick
Finally some love for Mick 🤘
It's about time they showed Mick some love and acknowledge him, he's an inspiration
I never really got into Crue or the 80’s metal scene but as a decades long amateur guitarist, I think Mars is the best pure player of that entire era that I’ve ever heard.
He’s amazing I’ve always admired him. And his talent awesome guy!!!
Long life for you Mick Mars! We love u!
I think he's a great guitarist and underrated. Every MC concert I've been to he has put on spectacular solos.
Mick's riffs drove Motley Crue's music. I couldn't even imagine Motley's early tunes without Mick.
One of my greatest guitarist. Greetings from the Fiji 🇫🇯 Islands September 2020.
Hes my cousin. Never met him. I was told about his family through my my.late grandmother that raised me when I started playing guitar at 8 years old he's a legend.
Mick is a true rock star and legend
I always loved Mick just for his ready to party style personality and even moreso for his brutal guitar riffs especially the early stuff off too fast for love 🤟
He was actually born on May 4th, 1951
I know, thanks for the correction 👍♉
Old af😄
Why can't they give you meds for pain??? If anyone needs them it is sufferers of this disease. The medical professions have lost their humanity
i just tested positive for the HLA-B27 gene which means there is a high percentage i have a form of genetic SpA , as well as some other stuff. weighing my treatment options now before deciding in the coming weeks.
Best of luck to you 💜
Ankylosing spondylitis is more common than people realize I am a sufferer of painful back arthritis that could turn into that overtime.
Also, he really shined on the self titled album from 1994. It's a shame they didn't soldier on with that line-up.
Definitely my personal favorite guitarist!
Mick Mars is the nicest guy on the freaking planet. He is a true one of a kind, protect Mick Mars at all costs. 🔥
Love Motley Crue!! Mick always seemed like the quiet one. Great upload!! 👍😊
AMEN I'm praying for this wonderful Daddy !!!☦️🙏❤️🇺🇲 GOD bless him always. Philadelphia USA
Mick mars is higher than a god when it comes to guitars
🖤 Your gonna be missed Mick Mars thank you for your beautiful proformance throughout my life and most of all your music but please don't have any regrets about Retiring love ya! from one of your fans. 🖤
Hear me out... Mick Mars and Willie Nelson. Country album. I'd buy it.
Fuck that. Mick and Willy: Hair metal album.
Mick mars is one of my favorite guitarists of all time! He is incredible.
I live with Ankylosing spondylitis it's chronic pain 24/7 props to him for still touring.
Mick Mars is a Great guitar player definitely influential!
I’ve always idolized Mick. You never hear about his work like you do these other musicians. Without his iconic playing there would be no Motley Crue
Mick is awesome
Your one of my favorite musician who gave me some kind of faith in god bless you guys always
Love Mick Mars the other band members may fight with one another but I know if anybody ever messed with MlckThey were doomed

The festival wasn't called Heavy Metal Day. It was Heavy Metal Day at the US Festival.
That was a great day!
I know right
I love his riffs his guitar and vinces vocals match up magically
Mick is the Clue. Without him, there wouldn’t be a Crue. I know his pain….I have RA, and if it’s anywhere like that pain, then it’s hell.
On a lighter note: 2:22 look at that package!
Hey I was born and still live in Terre Haute Indiana!
Mick is great. What an inspiration. Very unusual compared to other baby boomers. He is in another dimension
I was four years old when I first heard motley crue, been playing guitar ever since. I'm 40 years old, keep doing what you do mick, ill keep doing what I do. ROCK ON MAN!!!!
