That has been a standard practice b4 the advent of agriculture revolution in India, weeds usually indicates the abundance of a certain element in soil and thus help decide what useful crops can be grown in that land, also some compliment the crop and keep certain pests away.
I have been studying composting. Your bioreactor is the best. I would suggest using Brewer's yeast to help decompose wood chips and leaves. Also mushroom spores to help break down wood chips. Nicole Wallace only used white woods ( Cottonwood and Aspen) which she used as bedding for her pigs. She raised Brix readings 2 points by using a foliar spray of whole milk. She adds 40 liters of whole milk to the water for one hectare. A hectare equals 100 by 100 meters square or 10,000 square meters.
I only despise 1 weed. The tumbleweed is a nightmare. All the other weeds I love on in my yard (the plot of grasses/weeds I grow for chicken food/bedding.) Cheers

I like weeds. I like habitat, I like horticultural diversity.
