From a ski doo guy, get the Salazzking ski rubbers over Durapro. Salazzking has a full footprint under spindle, where durapro while way better than stock, has separated "toes" that will still flex more than salazzking. same price
From a ski doo guy, gotta get the bret rasmuseen post forward kit. Its a must have for more control and better side hilling on a doo. The polaris post is basically vertical, ski doos are laid down. When you install a post forward kit on a doo its steering is more like a polaris.
I've wondered about this, as I see guys like Turcotte install a more laydown post on their Polaris sleds, just depends what characteristics you want I suppose.
The post forward does NOT make a Doo steer like a Polaris whatsoever…. If you install the lay down post that Turcotte runs in his Polaris’s…then it’s more like a Doo steering system.
I pick up my Cataylst on Saturday, AND I even joined a gym (first time ever) to get into better shape specifically for riding (with a personal trainer).
@@robgoffroad heck ya man that’s awesome I need to get in better shape for the season but I think it’s already pretty much here hahah!! Thanks for the support. Let us know what you think of the new sled I’m jealous!
@@brentcook24 Well, I ride in California, so it'll be a while before we have any significant snow. If we're lucky I can do a road ride before Thanksgiving to test out the 2004 King Cat I bought end of last season and have been fixing it up. But it's not likely to be safe to venture off trail til mid December. Unless it's like last year, in which case.. well, don't get me started.
The KYB stock Freeride shocks are great but get them rebuilt. At the very least get the oil changed you’ll feel the difference just with changing the oil out.
I’m surprised that you guy’s never even mentioned IceAge rails…..especially for a Doo! I’m guessing that you don’t realize how easy it is to bend Doo rails.
I dont know what got fixed on Gen 5... but Skidoo mudt haves are 1. NO t-Motion 2. Ski rubbers 3. Alum. Wheels to replace rears, uppers 4. Bumppers 5. Clutching, can, forward post, pick it
Underrated podcasters!

@@dillonprissel69 we appreciate the feedback!!! I’ve heard good things about them and think I’m going to run them on the Polaris sleds too!
Salazzking last much longer as well.

Skidoo already comes with the small grip dismeter bars.
I feel like the stock expert are 20mm vs RSI slim jim are 22mm thick.

Depends on your riding style, if you aren’t jumping the stock rails should be just fine as long as you aren’t bashing rocks and stumps all the time.
No need for clutching on a doo
Yes there is
Yeh, cause a sled comes out perfectly clutched for every weight rider and elevation possible.
