The KTM RC 390 is marvellous. It's sharp, powerful, super fast and for most riders, a bigger challenge to their riding skill than they expect. We expected the TVS Apache RR 310 to be perfect - fast, more comfortable and it's got amazing presence. And the BS6 update was smashing! Vibration was gone, riding modes were here and it got a sweet colour screen as well as connectivity! Not to mention the best tyres compared to machines even twice the price! Varun and Shumi head to the twisties to find out which is the better sportsbike for the real world. Is it the RC 390 with its amazing performance and intense focus? RR 310 IS the Super Power
The RR 310 is one of the most underrated sports bike in its segment, overshadowed by its Japanese and European rivals.
But the truth is Indian youngsters will not go for it they just go for a looks.
There is a reason why its underrated, the first gen RR310 is just trash. Engine sounded like a 150cc and along with that the Rattling sounds of plastics. What made it worse is the service cost, I mean the Chain and Sprocket cost is 15000😂.
@@FLYINGMACHINE11 talking about first gen models....the RC was a heat chamber back then and it still stalls fairly easy in stop and go traffic and let's not talk about the rickshaw-like exhaust note.

@@rohunroy6430 I own a First gen RC390, a 2015 model, I know it heats up but I can sacrifice heat issues for some performance. And you just made up the issue with that body kit. It has been 5 years nothing has gone wrong with the fairings since. And a lot of people love the exhaust of BS3 models.

Well there is. If you consider the pathetic after sales of TVS. They can hardly service 200 CCs , let alone an advanced model like RR 310. Well I speak from my own experience. Yours might be different. Peace🙏

rr310 is just most affordable with fully loaded feature bike for youngsters, i would blindly go for rr310 anytime but with senior citizen age and practicality, i would prefer cruiser ;)

@@dr.chatzz9312 agreed it does...but so does the RC....the point in favor for the RR310 is that there's no RR125 than can be bought at half the price, hence the design is more exclusive in that regard....

No RR310 in my place, only R3s and RCs and Ninjas in track. The RCs are monsters. Very track focused. It's always a blast watching guys battle it out with these tiny bikes.
The RC 390 needs an update on the speedometer console, Traction control, a wider and well gripped tyre, and some changes in the design. It's looks the same as the RC200.
These updates KTM need to do on this 400 cc monster ! ❤️

Its been a month i got myself a RR310. Juuuuust loved it. Recently did a 330km ride to Jaipur with just 1 stop. I was fast as hell and comfortable while riding for so long. Undoubtedly the best choice I ever made.

He indirectly says TVS with less power (but still) is offering more for what you pay... KTMs are Faster that's the only thing is more than TVS. But in terms of build quality and fit and finish and a overall appealing design TVs wins over. I always wonder why people don't speak about KTMs negatives. Literally everyone wants to hide it's negatives just for the speed it offers...
The RC 390 is due for a major upgrade. The RR 310 is what I got home thanks to Shumi and PD's amazing review of it on the racetrack !

Obviously the rc390 should get the major update in its body design, and instrument cluster.

It all comes to personal preference. i prefer RC390 as i love more frantic motorcycle rather than linear powered one.

Just test drove the RR310 today and it was fabulous, though I think it does feel like it lacks torque down low. Waiting to test the new RC390 (dealer said it’ll be available by 2nd week of Jan 2022). I’ll test drive it then and take a final call on what I want to buy.

RR 310 had a major updates in instrument cluster ,in the new bs6 model it has 4 riding modes for track urban racing and rain mode .The engine is much refined now there are little bit of change in stickering

Nothing like the BS3 RC 390 Monster, the Exhaust sound, Handling, Raw power and everything.even we can customize a lot.seating on apache rr310 is not aggressive like rc390 as u will feel riding a race bike on the road.having a bs3 rc390 in full form is a trophy in my garage.I will feel that 3L spent always when I start the international bike

Giveaway answer: KTM RC390
In the rr 310 bs6, One big update here is that the bike now gets a ride-by-wire system, courtesy of which the throttle response is now crisper. Now, coming to the riding modes, the first two namely Urban and Rain restrict the power at 25.8hp and torque at 25Nm.
and the upcoming RC 390 gets a halogen headlamp and TFT instrument console.
The pillion seat is longer and wider.
