      @@AKumar-co7oe the idea is to present both sides of the argument. Mr Kant is supportive of the BJP initiative so he suggests that everything is rosy. Ms. Aiyar is a opposed so she suggests that everything is not so rosy.
      As an audience, you may take either side or if you are an non-biased, you are appreciative of both the commentaries and lucky to be educated by knowledgeable people.

    Not familiar with who Yamini is but she is clearly biased Anti-BJP. Most of the things she is saying actually don't make sense. She is saying that we don't have growth because of lack of debate in parliament? Endless debates lead to policy paralysis, which is the opposite of growth. We need a strong government to do what needs to be done. Unfortunately for us, for the next 5 years BJP will be weakened. Democracy might have won, but good policymaking will suffer.

    Laughable, how foreign media is sticking to a weakened mandate. Even at its weakest Modi is far stronger than any politician in the world can garner.
    We are sad Modi didn't get 400 but don't rejoice on Modi not making the majority by himself. Mind you all opposition parties put together could not go past BJP's 240 figure.

    Saying BJP doesn't do anything for Muslims is just a straight up lie. If it had been true then Shias wouldn't have voted for Rajnath Singh who won his seat due to the Shia votes. Similarly, Vohra Muslims support BJP and are to an extent Modi fanboys. Pasmandas are another BJP voterbase. It's just the Sunnis who vote Congress.

      Addressing issues, criticizing the government on the streets, shouting in Parliament and sitting at the table for debate are two different things. And it appears especially often in South Asia. The opposition party always condemns policies rather than being part of them. Not like West and China is different matter

      India has a lowest public institution investment under Modi - lower than any other large economy
      The press freedom index is the lowest it has ever been
      Focus east has fallen
      We have a really bad security situation with all our neighbours being aligned with China over us.

    A good debate between differing opinions. In America, that would never happen in today's extreme partisan atmosphere. Name calling and conspiratorial accusations would dominate. It seems to me, an American, the election results in India will promote a more balanced fiscal policy approach that would include more focus on job creation, career education, and safety net issues.
