The total cost of importing this model to the UK was £532.67 inc all costs. The tamping machine can only be operated in one direction either manually or automatic. Made in Europe.

Stunning. A far cry from my (early) sixties Trix Express layout on which I had 3 locos running, one powered through its pantograph. I remember my dad complaining about the prices of the overhead wires (Vollmer if I remember correctly). Have fun with this!
Very true..it's amazing what can be done now..I cannot wait to fully automate this loco. I never bothered with the catenary wires it was very very expensive and unrealistic on my layout plan...thanks for watching..

This is quite expensive and I want be able to finance it but it is quite an astonishing device and you really get a lot for the price compared to some locomotives sold nowadays. The sound is synced great and the value for modelling track maintenance is unbeatable. When I first saw the video of the smaler one I couldn't beleive they really made this as operating model in H0. I only remember to be so proud of owning the comparatively tiny and flimsy Plasser & Theurer from Liliput back some 35 years. This is really a hughe step and Viessmann seems to know the way to produce a perfect 1:87 copy of what you see on track and the mechanics. Impressive and I wish you lots of fun with this in the future and look forward to your videos coming up.

I got this one at a extremely good price at modellbhan Lippe in Germany..they offer an amazing service.. Thanks..JIm

Hi Dave, yeah it's in my top ten models now..it's an utterly stunning model..some people have complained about Vairous areas not been prototypical and the livery not correct? I really do not care it's 100% perfect for me...I was blown away by how they can make something like this on a hand made production line...👍🏻 P.s how's the work going on the system.. Did you get a electriction, I asked my mate but he's on a big commercial job at the moment..

Second time he let me down. Ive just ordered the floor should be here in s week or so and hopefully fitted before the end of the month. Got my son coming round to decorate on Monday so Im getting there. Be lucky to see anything get done before the end of summer now . As I will be fishing soon when the good weather kicks in. I’ll have to pop round and look at that amazing model if you will have me at some point pal. Are you busy atm? Ive pre ordered a few models from Arcadia too.

Hi, great piece of miniature engineering, it’s probably better to get this model than the older model that you have, I’m not sure which one to go for at the moment because both models are excellent in my opinion, I’m happy that we have models like this in our hobby even though the cost of living is at an all time high, I guess I will have to save more in order to get one, thanks for sharing.
@@hovermotion Many thanks for that information, I do like the older model with the red detailing on it. I find it amazing that Viessmann can develop such a superb model like this but Bachmann and Hornby can’t be bothered to fit lighting into their class 08 diesel shunters. 😞
Yeah Vicemann are only a medium size company and they make some really very very special items with very short hand made production runs in some cases. The old one is very good... And cheaper.. The European company's are more expensive , they are made in Europe and are light years ahead in some cases..
@@hovermotion I fully agree with you, being made in China is getting expensive now, why not try and build closer to home, I know the Tory government don’t want this because they won’t get as much money but surely the china manufacturing model is coming to an end? They are one of the richest countries in the world now so why not source and country to make models, to be fair they were made in this country for decades so why not bring it back, Heljan are producing the class 11 with directional lighting in a fashion, I’ve seen too many videos of the not so great quality of their loco’s so I’m not a fan, I’m also not a fan of Bachmann steam locomotives but I love their diesel locomotives, Not a fan of Hornby because of very poor quality models and customer service but their steam engines are good, sorry to rattle on.
