By basically all accounts he is a super down to earth and nice person, as well as being very fun to work with. It's only Steve Harris he's had issues with because Harris is a tyrant who didn't want anyone calling him out when Bruce joined the band.
That interaction 23 seconds in shows how easy going he is and how fun to work with he probably is. Other artists probably would have gotten bitchy at being interrupted like that.

I've never heard that he's hard to deal with. He always comes off as a down to earth, friendly guy in interviews.
