I had an idea sort of as an open challenge to the comments section: the _Anime Accurate Cyberpsycho Run._ Sounds simple, right? Chromed up the ass, armed to the teeth, you versus Night City? Not so fast, choom. Here's what balances it out. 1: You are disallowed from retreating from fights, refusing fights, or using cover unless forced to by scripting. You have to barge in through the front door of all confrontations and are disallowed from using stealth. You _must_ emulate the full frontal assaults seen in Edgerunners. 2: You may only pick the weapons you start any fight with, and must use them until the magazine runs dry. 3: No reloading, ever, and any weapons you pick up in the middle of a fight, you must drop if you empty the magazine, or stop using them for a moment or two. You want to reload, you need to loot a weapon off a guy. 4: Looted weapons only. You do get to pick what three weapons you want to take with you into a slip back into cyber psychosis, but that's it. 5: Arm cyberware is only to be used after running out the mags on at least two of your three allowed starting weapons per rampage. This goes for other melee weaponry, too.
The fact that Smasher is so heavily armored that anti-personnel grenades don’t even dent him is hilarious and makes perfect sense. He’s basically a walking tank, so why would a grenade designed to shred flesh and bone hurt him?
If you wanted to agro them without directly attacking royce via punch or gun, you can also give them the militech credit without warning them about it. Fries their netrunner IIRC and initiates combat when militech assaults allfoods
In 2.0, grenades are now charge based rather than a consumable, so that's nice. Now this challenge is much more doable, and definitely a lot more fun. You do sort of lose the ability to just spam them everywhere though. Grenades also have many ways to directly increase their damage, and even explosion radius. Also you definitely had one grenade during Johnny's segment at the start. It was just a really, really, really big grenade. And you did use it.
Would be interested to see this done in 2.0 and/or PL, especially with the removal of the homing / sticky grenades and the change to them being on cooldown/charges rather than being consumables. Something like the focus perk that makes it easier to shoot grenades in mid-air might be a fun thing to play around with for some of the boss fights like Oda.
The legend of the Kaboom Choom. ...it also dawns on me that based on what we saw of him in combat in Edgerunners, this would _technically_ be the Pilar Run...
-game wants you to give up your weapons -first store them in the stash in the back of your bike -give up your weapons -get them out of your bike It probably doesn't work in all scenarios where you have to give up your weapons, but I did it on a few missions a couple weeks ago and it worked fine.
I have a suggestion! Before you continued doing the storyline & after u distributed ur perks in engineering @ grenades, you could've did some assault in progress to get perks for your health & or body.

That's the title of an old gnostic text and translated it roughly means "Faith from Wisdom" or "The Faith of Wisdom". I believe the moment is meant to be foreshadowing, primarily for "(Don't) Fear the Reaper", but of course there's the other moments where you can choose to let Johnny have control. So because of your knowledge gained through the hotel experience, your wisdom, you are able to have good faith in Johnny later. You received "Faith from Wisdom".
haven't seen a "fully drunk, all the time" run yet. Where you have to constantly drink and keep the camera shifty and wavey for the entire game. (Basically keeping the alcohol debuff, active at all times)
started playing this again thanks to all the edge runner vids dropping in my suggested. i followed dex after the meet and he drives to one of the drop points for another side mission then just sits there.

Honestly I'm surprised my how many people don't know that if you are in combat, go into your inventory, then into your crafting screen you can still craft.
Yo, I've pretty much played my current playthrough this way - it's so much fun, tho it requires stealth (or at least I required it, but I'm not the best at the game) and quite a bit of practice with aiming the weird reticle you get.
Wanna know something funny, the second I was wishing someone would do challenge runs in cyberpunk my TH-cam decided to pop these vids into recommended. One challenge I want to see is can you win with only a basic lvl 1 katana
I think a fun if somewhat time consuming challenge would be Beating Cyberpunk with ONLY Hacking. We know Netrunners enjoy being in the back, disrupting and making openings with quick hacks. But what if that was your only way to handle encounters? I’m allowing two rules Only Starter pistol until you get a Hack that can actually deal damage to enemies Hacked Robotics are allowed, as you initiated the hack My suggested ending is Don’t Fear The Reaper, as you do not have any backup and thus don’t have anyone to mess with “was that a hack kill?” Etc. Feel free to do what feels right though.
Would love to see this one revisited after the 2.0 changes to grenades.

This is pretty much how I play the game normally! Albeit with a shotgun for picking off solitary enemies. Very satisfying :D

@@grifsin The perk that returns your knife on crit hit/kill is a must.
A knife only build is actually extremely strong ever since the ninjutsu rework. The bleed and poison damage is SO good.
