The Oliver 1900 was my favorite, was hoping to see at least one Minneapolis Moline!
I am a Moline fan. Unfortunately I did not film any this year.

This was really cool to see! The 1086 MFWD was maybe my favorite of the bunch even though I like those big 2WD tractors.
The 1086 was a nice catch this year as was the 8220.

In Alsace a farmer friend and me
we modified a jd 5020 screwed up engine we made our American by putting a v8 strait diesel booster to 325 hp and when plowing we have a 12 body plow on board and sometimes people when they see me with it stop me and wonder if it's the engine when I tell them she's always very surprised by the very particular sound of the strait in my opinion that's also why we love these engines

The John Deere 6030 with the massively oversized tires for its size was definitely my favorite for that exact reason

I'd say it's turned up a little!
My favorite is the 4430 pulling the round bailer. That Oliver 1900 was my second favorite. I had to turn my volume down watching it😂.

Great video Jason. I like the Allis-Chalmers 7080, we’ve got quite a few AC tractors of our own. 8070, 2 7060s, 7045, 200, 185, 175, D17 and a WD.
What a great line up on your farm. This farm with the 7080 runs a few nice AC cotton strippers.

The Oliver made some noise! The JD 8220 looked like they put casters on the front. Seemed a little small.
The 2wd 8000s do have a different look. They were popular for big baling and TMR work.

As much as I like the 1900, the red stripe 2-70 is one sharp tractor.
The open stations are pretty cool in my book.
The White 2-70 was my favorite. I grew up with a White 2-105 as our primary tractor.
A farm I grew up near that raised vegetables had an open station 2-105. It was their main tractor for plowing until a 4440 was purchased in 1982. I liked the open station. This 2-70 was nice to find as an open station.
@@bigtractorpower We had a 2-105 also open station. My dad kept burning out the turbo by shutting it off hot. After the 3rd time I refused to fix it.

That is very cool. I have an Oliver Better Farming for Better Living magazine from the 60’s that talks about Seneca using Oliver for tillage and to harvest peas and sweet corn.
Seneca in Le Sueur STILL HAS THE AG RESEARCH PART STILL GOING !! ONE DAY ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO I GOT UP AND EVERYTHING IN THE LOT WAS GONE !!! I ASKED SOMEONE THAT WORKS THERE ABOUT IT AND THEY SAID EVERYTHING HAD TO GO ON AUCTION AND GET SOLD IT WENT TO GLENCOE Mn. I stopped in one day and asked the 4 bottom Rollover plow and the Guy looked IT up on the computer and said it went 10 miles north of town. He got ahold of the guy and asked what he was going to do with the plow. Then he gave me the Guy's number and I called him and I asked him what he wanted off the plow. he said the COVER BOARDS. I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ANOTHER PLOW LIKE IT. HE SAID NO. HE HAS A 700 PULL TYPE. I TOLD HIM ONLY 4 WERE GOING TO WORK .HE TOOK ALL OF THEM OFF AND I GOT THE PLOW FOR 550$ !!! IT'S IN THE SHED AT THE LE SUEUR COUNTY PIONEER POWER GROUNDS !!!!!!
My grandpa was a row crop farmer in north Alabama his first big tractor was a 1968 Oliver 1800 that looks jus like the one in this video but doesn't have duals on back and has a tricycle front end , I am 55 now and I still have it ,I used it to put out hay for cows up until 2000 and got a new 5420 JD , I pulled the Oliver in side shed in barn , love tractors and old farmers they could fix anything ! Thanks for the video!

I love the look of that JD 6030! Just big and stout with those massive tires, that diesel didn't even sound like she was breaking a sweat!

My favorite was the 1086. It looks like they have 42" rear tires on it as well which it did not have at the factory. Another score was the 1175 with the Fox chopper. You don't see those everyday.
The 1175 and Fox are a perfect match. 👍👍
Great tractors my favorite was 86 international chopping corn
My all time favorite is the White 2-60 my dad bought new when I was 5. That little tractor did it all and than some.
Great tractor. Solid WFE utility and field tractor.
In the opening shot of the Oliver pulling the offset looks to be plenty of blue smoke coming from the stack at one point there. You can see it against the background of the trees. Regards from Down Under.

I'd like to see in 2024 if you can find a Minneapolis Moline combine
I see one each time at Half Century. They are on my wish list to film. MM did not sell many combines in the late 60’s and early 70’s . I have heard there were only 9 MM 7800 and 7600 combines built in the 70’s. I hope to find one.
Your #1 pick was a good choice. Even with the sound turned off I could still hear that Oliver. ;-)

I really liked that Oliver 1900 tractor with the Detroit Diesel 2 stroke engine! It sounded great working.
Oliver really liked GM power in their big tractors from the 40’s to the 60’s.
@@bigtractorpower from what I’ve read about the Olivers, the diesels were the Detroit Diesel 3-71, 3-53, and I think the 2-53 engines.

I was brought up with ford tractors on the farm here in the UK,so always been a blue white guy . The newholland 8770 would be my favourite, and it's very rare to see any big 2WD high horse power tractors over here.

Some great catches last year. My favorite out of this collection is that Case 1175 and the Fox. Super rare to see either running in my area.
Probably the Big Johnnie 6030, doesn't she look the goods with the Big Boots on, the 4430 JD also nice, a few of those around during the day in the cropping country of Western Victoria, Australia. And perhaps 3rdly the Oliver, wasn't she Barking like Hell, great collection of tractors. cheers Andy from Adelaide, South Australia.

The big Firestones front and back site make it look extra tough.
I do like the New Holland 8770 Genesis. I grew up with New Holland and Valtra, as two farmers in the area in which i grew up in used New Holland and Valtra tractors. There was two farmers that also used Ford, Deutz-Fahr and John Deere tractors, but it was mostly New Holland and Valtra. There's currently two farmers in the area who's using New Holland tractors, and at least one of the NH tractors are a 8770 or similar to the 8770
I'm a bit partial to that 8770, but the 2-80 White, that MFWD 1086 were some sharp tractors and good finds. Those AC tractors and cotton pickers were a great find too. Lots of classics in there!!!

I would like to see a Ford 5000 and a Ford 7000 I really like the older farm tractors those are the tractors I grew up around I still love them
i like the 1086 the best but i am biased i grew up with farmall's and ih. but hard to bet the detroit in the oliver for sound
The only thing that you can say about Detroit engines is that they sound like they are going a hundred miles per hour and they're not even moving.

The 4520 is a nice tractor. I have a 4620 video. I have only filmed a 4520 at the Half Century of Progress Show. It was featured in my 2019 Half Century tillage video. I am always looking for a 4520.
it's funny how much difference it makes backing up equipment in the two JD style machines, the 8220 rear cab glass it level with the rear axle but the sound guard rear glass is level with the back of the tires which puts the driver over the rear axle
Oliver's are always great to see. My tractor of choice i never get tried of seeing is the 4955.

The ih1086 was the worst tractor I had. Bad shifting, poor reliability, bad memories...

Excellent video. Is the Ford genesis number eight a different shade of blue then we’re all used to or is it just the lighting or the camera that was used?
Painted to be a blue power special, in the Maserati blue instead of traditional Ford blue.
My favorite was the Oliver 1900 & 1086 at the end what they could pull back in the day before every other tractor had fwd ❤
I'm from the UK and the only Olivers I have seen are David Brown exports painted Oliver livery, one question I have is what sort of engines do the one that are in this video, they seem to be very high revving engine

Were the AC cotton harvesters working NE New Mexico? The first time I saw thses machines was on I-40, two of them rusting in a feild near the Texas border. If I remember correctly they have a very different stripper head than other pickers.

You've got a great eye for cool tractors Jason...your number 1 pick is also mine...a red panel tri stripe 1086 with MFWD thats in that nice of shape is like finding a diamond in a pile of manure. Guys will not like me for this part of my comment, but if someone wanted to torture me, they could set me in a room with a nasty sounding 2-stroke Detroit diesel engine screaming away like that Oliver is in the video. I just don't get the appeal with those pigs.
The 1086 was a cool one this year. Detriot powered tractors are cool to see but not to run for hours of work.
Have to agree with the noise factor on the 1900, Dad bought a 1950 and added the Clark fwa later (actually made a tractor out of it) but unlike the video ours had this thing called a Donaldson muffler and it worked,all that noise must be a HD thing let's confuse noise with power.

The 1086, We have always had IH here on the farm and I love those ol tractors. I know it's an International when I hear it. Sounds like red power to me.
I drove a 1900 Oliver with FWA on our farm growing up. I can still heat that Detroit . I wore over the ear hearing protectors, too. I am amazed I can still hear.
I like that you've included models from several different manufacturers in your top ten. I would have included the M-F 1100 with the Slinger spreader (from one of your year ago videos) in this list. Great content and presentation always!

It was a good year for IH with this 1086 in the 2wds and a 4186 in the 4wds.

I would like to see a John Deere 4440
The last 4440 I filmed was in 2016. I filmed two that year. I was excited to catch a 4430 on its 50th anniversary. Hopefully a 4440 will turn up in 2024.
4430 was my favorite I have a 4230
Unique color on the NH 8770.The 1175 had the best colors Case ever put on their tractors.
New Holland uses Maserati blue on the modern T8 Genesis and T7 tractors called Power of Blue Editions. This 8770 was repainted in that style.
CASE tan is cool. It is a perfect match on coloring for the Fox Chopper.
Me personally the 6030 was my favorite with those diamond tread tires
Loved the 1086 mfwd. I wonder what all they did to that tractor? Weights on the front, weights on the axles and dual hubs. New Holland would say that isn’t enough tractor for that chopper, but I loved it.

My favorite was #1, the 1086. My dad had one for a long time and it was a great tractor… wish we still had it.
The 1086 is a good tractor. Top seller for IH in the late 70’s.

Case is a great brand. First tractor I ever rode in was a 2470 and first combine was a 1060. With out Case there might have been Big Tractor Power 😁

An industrial model? I saw a 700A which is a yellow 5020 in June. I like industrials allot.

That is the John Deere 2500 plow. It was short lived offering from 1974-1976. It looks very similar to the IH 710/720.
Definitely the 7080 Allis Chalmers for me.
It’s a cool tractor and not bad seeing it in cotton with AC harvesters.
