Well, that depends where you are in the "Foreign". If you live in a BIG city ( London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, Milan, Rome, Zurich ..etc), then you will see a lot of people. If you live in the country side then its obviously less people. Even a remote village in Tamil Nadu is as quiet as this. Remember Germany is bigger than Tamil Nadu and population of Germany and Tamil Nadu are almost the same. The village i live in the outskirt of Zurich has only 3000 people as population. And its even more quieter and scenic than this one. I can basically see the distant alps range from my village.
Just go to the neighboring country Sri Lanka, try going to Jaffna in northern Sri Lanka . You will be surprised to see how come Sri Lankan itself is so clean and quiet. I could actually compare the cleanliness of Sri Lanka and road driving discipline to Europe.

That’s actually true. The place where I live is a pure countryside and there are very less people. But city is totally a different story as you said.
