- Many songs from the Tamil Films have been ignored periodically for reasons best known to no one. Especially, never or rarely attempted in any reality shows, stage shows or competitions.
When the nation is on a Quarantine, Subhasree Thanikachalam launches this new series.
This series will feature a set of rare songs that are rarely heard, rarely performed and she will also try and give some trivia for the songs.
The songs will all be performed by young singers who came out of her shows, which mainly focussed on old songs. The sessions are unplugged and performed with minimum instrumentation. No retakes. One stretch live performance..

This is pure Malkauns, the favorite raga of Adinarayana Rao garu, who specialized in Marathi music, and Hindustani ragas apart from carnatic . he invariably used this raga in every film he composed in Telugu and Tamil. Lata Mangeshkar was so floored by his music that she charged only 200 rupees per song for Swaran Sundari in Hindi in 1957, when she used to get Rs 1500 per song in Hindi, she once remarked that Adinarayana Rao's music reminded her of her father Deenanath Mangeshkar's music.

Most of the QFR songs are better than original songs. This is because of singers, musicians and better quality of recording. Songs selected by QFR have unique features. These songs can be used for medical treatments of illness. In fact, I read a news that a surgery was conducted when the patient was listening to Thamil songs. Thanks a lot to the QFR team. This is also a best example of a team work.

I remember seeing the shooting of this picture near Adayar river. I was studying 2nd year Eng.then It was 1956. I got Anjali Devi's autograph in my class note book. . This song from that picture was the most captivating one of the year. I knew the complete lyrics in those days.
