The way this show portrays the feeling of having a panic attack and being stressed is just perfect. There are so many relatable details it's crazy. One of the greatest Disney shows ever made. Such a shame it had a sad ending along with Wonders of Life.
IKR? It's no wonder this attraction is sorely missed, as I figure it's the same reason why unruly children are more prominent these days! This was one attraction those types of children might have benefitted from, especially those who behave like "Kay-loo!"
@@the_mariocrafterI think the mercifully rare appearance of the tenth emotion in that particular sequel aptly known as Nostalgia should serve as another painful reminder now that you mention it, which is depicted as a kindly elderly woman sporting a very fitting pair of rose colored glasses.
I was a Cast Member at Disney/MGM the year this pavilion opened, and still use the "Bold Move, Sir," quote in my internal dialogue to this day. Great job recreating the queue and pre-show. Good Times!
Todd and everyone at RWDW. This is fantastic. THANK YOU for recreating such a key moment of my life. Words cannot express my gratitude. I’m forever grateful! Signed: Buzzy/Bobby
Think about it. You had shows like this, Food Rocks, Energy Adventure, etc, where you got to go inside a heated and air conditioned facility, and sit down for about 20 minutes, versus an entire day of walking and standing, for just a minute or two of fun. This is one of the reasons why when you watch videos from the 20th century, you don’t see mobility scooters and strollers all over the place.
Amen to that. Universe of Energy was a long ride but it was a great break from that pesky Floridian sun. It beats waiting in line for an hour+ for Ratatouille or Frozen Ever After, that's for sure.
I couldn't have picked a better time to revisit Cranium Command. However you guys acquired the original projector-screen footage is impressive enough! Probably the cleanest I've seen it since my first WDW visit!
Disney were impressed with the animated introduction by two Disney artists and the studio hired them to produce a little project called: *Beauty and the Beast!!* I am no joke, this, has them directly to Beauty and the Beast
You mean the “two directors directed Beauty and the Beast next”. It took a lot more than “two artists” to animate the intro. I was one of them. Then I also went on to animate on B&TB.
@@chrisw8417 You probably also worked with quite a few animation legends on Beauty And The Beast with a couple of them now being on TH-cam such as Aaron Blaise and James Baxter! It pretty much just might be fun to surprise them in their TH-cam comments! :)
Cool. I animated on this but never got to see it in the park. Now I can and I don’t have to wait in line! Plus the General Knowledge “I Want You” poster is from one of my scenes.
@ 1:50 to 2:10. I didn’t “help” animate the scenes. I animated the entire scene. Help implies only doing part of the animation. Just wanted to clarify. It was a fun project to animate on for sure.
Thanks for an awesome restoration of this wise and magical show. I was captivated by this production as a child as it reveals the way to interpret conflicting messages and impulses of the human brain so elegantly. It absolutely mirrors the concepts of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. Every human can benefit from learning how to manage these central nervous system impulses in a caring and constructive way! Beautiful!!!
I was at the Wonders of Life pavilion on my second WDW vacation the year that it opened. I miss it a whole lot, and it’s a shame how it, ironically, had such a relatively short life. I’ve lived in Orlando right next to Disney now for 27 years, and there are so many rides, attractions, areas, and features that I miss. But I mostly just generally miss the whole mantra of some of the parks, mainly Epcot, moving away from actually teaching you something or having original ideas, and only pushing whatever current Disney IP is popular. It’s so short-sighted, and I feel bad for kids today because of it.
Cranium Command was truly something else! Amazing recreation! And I love the use of FuturePort82! Hopefully we get to see this integrated into Futureport soon
it was never stolen, it was removed by disney to prevent accidents, after the hat, jacket and gloves where stolen, there are large openings in the ground under the animatronic with sharp objects in them, they removed Buzzy so that ppl wouldt climb on Buzzy and fall in the pits. they did it so quickly, they forgot to register the doll, he is accounted for now btw, hes back in the archive i was told
@@muge2this was never proven, but is one of the likely outcomes. Someone prominent in the community claims it was stolen and sold to a private collector outside of the U.S.
The next time I go to Epcot, I want it to be 1988. Back when it was a wonderful place and not just Magic Kingdom (part 2). I really miss the glory days of Walt Disney World when everything seemed to mesh and the price was right. Also, I keep wondering if that is John Stamos in the video.
It opened when i was ten, i probably saw it when i was 11 or 12. Since i was the age of the character, it was embarrassing (or uncomfortable) to watch with my parents.
Would love to see it done for Body Wars and Making of Me, too. I haven’t seen any clear footage of Making of Me and I could only find a clear preshow for Body Wars.
Not accurate in the slightest, I wasn't stuck waiting in line for 45 minutes. But seriously, this is great! I'm really happy to see people preserving Disney history!
It's a work in progress Epcot simulation called Futureport 82'. You can walk around the park and most of the original pavilions, it's very cool. It's free to download but you do need a powerful pc to run it properly.

One of Epcot’s greatest preshows, even though the recruits thought they were “at Disney World”!
I have no idea why, but dear lord this makes me happy to see. Pure nostaglic joy. I'd love to see other rides brought back if possible..
18:59 always loved this little comment as the audience is leaving.

Job well done on your part with your performance, sir!
Very Nice work! Hope to see more extinct attractions like this!
Loved seeing some of the shots in such high quality this video is pretty much the closest thing in actually going on the ride so well done!!!!

Outstanding video! Thanks for posting this very underrated past attraction. So Epcot! Also, precursor to Inside Out.

And one of the animators on the project was none other than Pete Docter who a couple of decades later directed the similiarly themed Inside Out.

this is actually really cool, amazing vid!!!

I loved this whole pavilion, but Cranium Command was my favorite part

Beautiful remastering! And I just today realized that it was the two punks who got that six week detention, not Bobby. Lol
Man I loved this. I still quote parts even though no one gets it. Well most people don’t anyway.

Cranium Command is like Inside Out meets Cells At Work but instead of personifications of cells, we get personifications of organs
This is giving me Inside Out vibes for some reason. If they remake this attraction, I won't be surprised if they use Inside Out characters.
This was the inspiration for Inside Out. Director Pete Docter already confirmed it.
I had a crush on Natalie Gregory from the 1985 Alice in Wonderland. I was happy to see her in this when I was a teen.
So did I! And she kissed me on the cheek in the school hallway! (Yep. It’s me Buzzy/Bobby)
