Thanks so much for watching! Did you ever get a chance to play Super Princess Peach? Let me know your thoughts on the game and if it should get a sequel!
Indeed, we *extremely* hope for Super Princess Peach to have sequels like "Super Princess Daisy", "Super Princesses Peach & Daisy" and for them to have the same graphics as the original which we need more games like because even though indeed, Peach can get way too upset for her own good like in the end of the otherwise epic Super Mario Odyssey (scratch that, with the exceptions of Super Mario Bros. (I did like the SNES version so much that I wish there were Super Mario Advance 5), Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels (the worst Mario game since Mario Bros., which became one of the many best games in the series as the GBA version in the Super Mario Advance quadrilogy and the superior version of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga), the New Super Mario Bros. games, Super Mario All-Stars: Limited Edition, and Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Super Mario is more super than not, especially with The Super Mario Bros. Movie and potential Nintendo Cinematic Universe/"Nillumination" series in general), I think her depression/fury was actually put to fair use for her to access new platforms and take the Princess Daisy approach via the story mode of the also epic Mario Party 3.
I played it. It's...well, the closest comparison to it within the extended Mario stable would probably be Wario Land. And Wario Land (currently dormant) has more overall affection from players, so a Super Princess Peach 2 would probably be lower priority than a Wario Land 5/6.
Dude, I've been wanting a sequel or a least a 2.D remake to Super Princess Peach for YEARS! Heck, I would even settle for a Virtual Console release. That sadly didn't happen. (Also R.I.P. Virtual Console)
It definitely seem like a super underrated experience. Even the biggest Nintendo Mario enthusiast don’t bring up this one. It’s the spin-offs where they go ham on doing something outside the box when it comes to Mario games.

The fire level one with the worm, took me so long to beat!
I’m actually playing through Super Princess Peach on my modded 3DS as I never grew up with it, the game is great and different from your standard Mario Formula, you got Perry the Parasol, Vibe Powers, a Shop to buy upgrades and increase stats, overall I think it deserves a second chance, it’s a shame it didn’t become a full fledged series, not even Amy or Blaze from Sonic got their own games that focused on them as the main playable character, last character spin-off game Sonic got was Shadow the Hedgehog in 2005.
Unfortunately, it was kinda deaded by Nintendo once criticism hit that the female protagonist uses “period powers” to save the day. Nintendo normally doesn’t like to leave their games behind, but I believe that’s the reason why they try to pretend this game doesn’t exist. It is a shame because Princess Peach is literally one of my favorite video game characters.
Great video! I love this game- I actually wrote a paper on Princess Peach and the performance of hyper femininity during my masters in English in 2006, and purchased this game as part of my ‘research’. Wish this game had the reception it deserved. In some other universe this was the start of a wonderful new series.
I remember this one commercial for the DS showing New Super Mario Bros when the narrator says "for boys" and then when Super Princess Peach is shown he says "for girls", and that made me not play the game for the longest time but I got around to it eventually and it was pretty good and even surprisingly challenging sometimes.
I remember I discovered a glitch by mashing L and A on a level select screen and it warped me to the an exact copy of the first level with no Toads rescued. My position on the level select screen was also where the first extra level was located. Also after a while one of the first levels in Hoo’s Woods towards the end became an an actual glitchy hellscape with no platforms except for the flying pouches, so I had to use all of my vibe power for Joy to fly to the end. Yeah, my copy’s been through a lot.
I remember watching my cousin play it. It's such a neat looking game and I'm surprised Princes lead video games have not made it big to this day for Nintendo.
I mean it's a bit much to expect a young boy to be interested in Princess Peach who uses her emotions as power-ups, it's honestly no wonder why it didn't sell much
If they had marketed it to adults then it would have sold well. Men and women alike clearly think the game and this iteration of Peach is cute and fun.
I forgot about this game until you brought it up. Seeing all the gameplay brought back all the feels (both positive and negative) I had while playing the game.
This game was Danny's childhood. They and their brother would play it and come up with nicknames for the characters and stuff (Danny says they called Bowser's Villa "Bowser's Scary Castle.") They always wanted a sequel with Daisy, Rosalina, and Pauline playable. I myself had this game in 2006. I found it easy, but I thought it was awesome seeing Peach as the star. I would want a sequel.
I so loved this game when it was out! The volcano had the best music hands down and the overall tone was really fun. Also Perry's story was actually a little touching
Glad that someone brought it up, this was the best spin-off from the mainline Mario franchise. The game deserves a sequel where you can possibly play as Daisy or even Rosalina.
Aw man. I loved this game. I was in elementary school when this came out and had loved the Mario series, but I especially loved the small moments where I could play as Peach - so this was perfect for me. Thanks for making this, it was a fun nostalgia trip.
I got this game on the same Christmas I got my DS, so I played it a lot and I still really love it. I’ve always been a Peach fan and I wish there were more games with her as the main character
I love this game so much. I played it all the time and, you're right, it was super fun and relaxing to go through! Perry's backstory made me cry. He and Peach made an amazing team. This video's got me feeling nostalgic man
Early-mid 2000s Nintendo really felt like it was a little more open to trying new things and taking risks when it came to its biggest franchises. I really wish we could see a return to that some time
I remember super princess peach. I also remembered that it left a pretty big loose end in the form of some hinted that the villains. And yet nothing ever came of it. They were hinted at or even responsible for transforming someone into Perry the parasol. But that was just a loose end that was dropped and never picked back up
Well as most people are aware now, Peach is finally getting another game all to herself. It's ironic that a lot of what you touched on in this episode; like "Peach doesn't need to rescue Mario to go have an adventure" is being included
I remember I grew up with my cousin who is four years younger than me, but we spent a lot of time together and she feels more like my sister. And one day when we were kids, we both got sick for a day and stayed home from school, and huddled on her bed at my aunt's house and played this game on our DS's together, nearly beating it in one day. I feel like we need more of this game, too, but maybe a bit harder so older audiences would play it as much as main series Mario games.
11:00 funny you say this and just a few months later princess peach showtime gets announced and from the looks of it mario and Luigi are completely MIA in this and peach is on a solo adventure
Honestly, as a kid, we always wanted to see a sequel where she teamed up with Luigi (lets be honest, if there's anyone in the mushroom kingdom you'd peg as 'emotional', it's that guy) where the two work together to rescue the kingdom and Mario from the real secrets of the scepter and Perry's past. Something Something the normally level headed Mario is *really* struggling to control his emotions turned up to 11 and it's up to the other two, more used to keeping a hold on themselves in more stressful environments, to save the day. Either give them their own sets of Vibes the player can switch between or (if 8 is too many abilities to make distinctive enough to work in the players favor) split up the emotions between them- Luigi could easily take over gloom (perhaps redecorated as a fear based power) and grab Peaches hand to pull her quickly along or while he's crying, and perhaps add one based on being meek, in which the two would more carefully move about in such a way they could pass over blocks that would normally fall or crumble, or slip right past enemies. Peach could keep joy and rage, while calm's animation is actually split between the two of them, taking a moment to reassure each other and enjoy each others company in the midst of their adventure. (and you know. Putting aside the joke at the end of the game about what the vibe scepter really was the whole time.)
This was such a fun game when I was younger! I gave my DS to my nephew so I'm not sure I'll ever get to play this again but it was definitely fun in the day.
This was my absolute favorite game growing up!! Me and my sister loved playing it, i would spend hours replaying the levels and doing all of the mini games. I unfortunately lost my original copy a few years ago but my little cousin has a copy for her DS and i love helping her beat the levels! It’s such a wholesome, fun, and honestly challenging experience. I remember genuinely struggling getting all of the toads in the later levels and having to replay them multiple times! It was so rewarding. Amazing video, very nostalgic to watch and left me smiling :)
So cool to hear some positive reveiws for this game. I’ve always thought it looked pretty dope, but I’ve heard a lot of people say the levels are too long and dragged out or just complain about the mini games. This game is definitely on my radar now
I remember hearing a lot about this game when I was younger than never again. I hope with how great Peach was in the Mario movie maybe we’ll get a follow up game now
I 100%ed this game back in the day and I also completely forgot about it. I genuinely love it. Maybe it’s because this game was pretty easy that I couldn’t remember it. I never had to spend that much time on it.
Of course!! I absolutely loved playing the game and remember watching the trailer for it on tv when it was about to be released. I still play it on my ds and it continues to be my favorite game of the whole Super Mario world.
Great video as usual. Would love to see you cover the starfy series at some point since ive only ever played the legend of starfy. Didnt know there were other games till i got older and learned most of them didnt get released in the west or at least not that i could find
This game is pretty special to me, too! I got it when I was like 5 and never actually beat it, but I still have it and hearing people talk about it feels crazy. I always thought it was kind of obscure.
I actually remember seeing this game somewhere at a GameStop mall many years ago.I don’t remember much about getting the game because it was just a princess peach game. Not another Mario solo game. But I’m glad games from my childhood are getting more attention and being talked about.
I loved this game. The part you only touched on that was interesting was how the vibes basically made 4 variations of common ememies. Goomba's could be normal or they could be angry and shake the map. or they could be happy and flying. It just made the game charming as you had all these interesting enemy subtypes.
This game was fun. I did share an idea of a sequel involving Daisy and her and peach tag teaming and Daisy could be a princess who wasn’t afraid of dirt be the one to do tasks to progress the level. And each level would have a hidden torn page. Each page collected would reveal small story of the villain and why Mario and Luigi are captured.( villain not being bowers)
this is so nostalgic, something about the movement with the emotions and on the little cloud you can ride was so satisfying. I cant believe I forgot about Perry's whole backstory thing! I remember I was obessed with this game but could not find the last of the toads so i just never got to beat it, maybe its time.
thing about peach is that she's ALWAYS been a bad ass: miyamoto, himself stated that he never saw peach as just the helpless princess and it states in the mario bible that peach is one of the most powerful around and THEN you've got those times where she just straight up kicked bowser's ass with her wandless magic (also, peach is one of the VERY select few that can do magic without a wand: not even kamek can do that) such as in that mario and luigi game where bowser busts into her castle but she doesn't have time for his shit so she just LIFTS HIM IN THE AIR WITH HER FINGER AND TOSSES HIM OUT. peach has always been a bad ass and anyone that thinks otherwise clearly doesn't know anything about the mario series.
Good to see people actually getting it. Peach in the movie is not bland, OOC female empowerment, just our good old badass princess being given the spotlight she rightfully deserves.
This was actually the first ever platform game I played. And the first Mario related game. Not super mario bros. Not Mario kart or Mario party. It was peach and i still have a copy of the game bc it brings me so much joy. I've literally been hoping for a second part ever since I first played this game, but whether it might happen or not - thank you for shining some light on this great game!
I played this game over and over again. It is one of my personal favorites as the gameplay and animation is so good to me. And nostalgia hits hard when I see this game. I wish they had more from this game and make it into a series!

It's definitely one of my favorite Mario games! Wish they had made a sequel 😅
I remember playing “Super Princess Peach” when I was 9. I still have it.
It probably made you a man, genuinely.
Coming here after the Direct. :D
Cannot wait for her new game! ^^
A parasol?
*opens up*
*gasp* PERRY THE PARASOL!!!
The only person i knew who had this game when I was little was a little girl. The marketing did not help.
This game was seriously one of my favourite titles ever, I really hope that we get some closure to the Perry story someday though.
This game was a fun alternative to the usual Mario Game and Peach actually being an active hero was fantastic
A lot of the music absolutely slaps. Both chill and intense themes throughout. Underrated.
I looved this game! I agree, it was super calming. So glad to see someone else bringing it attention and love!
11:00 funny you say this and just a few months later princess peach showtime gets announced and from the looks of it mario and Luigi are completely MIA in this and peach is on a solo adventure
this game is such a big part of my childhood. Thank you for making a video about it. Hits me right in the heart
This aged well! You're right, Super Princess Peach totally deserves a remake / sequel, and today is a special day! :)
I've been saying for YEARS that this game is crazy levels of underrated. Legitimately one of my favorite games on the DS
Man this game was such a big part of my childhood :) I love seeing people try to bring it into the light again!
Holy cow, this idea is SO good… I want it so badly now
I ordered this for my niece. I've never played it, but it looks like she'll like it.
Oh it’s just a regular parasol… *gasp* PERRY the Parasol?!
This was definitely my favourite mario game as a kid, 1000% needs a sequel. Such a nostalgic and positive video.
This is my first ds game and I still have it
This was a absolute joy to play and enjoy.
It's always exciting when you're watching youtube already and you get a notification of something you want to watch.
I've been waiting for a WAIT... on this one, thanks Jordan!
I Can't Wait For Princess Peach Showtime 🤩🩷👏💯
So cool to hear some positive reveiws for this game. I’ve always thought it looked pretty dope, but I’ve heard a lot of people say the levels are too long and dragged out or just complain about the mini games. This game is definitely on my radar now
I remember hearing a lot about this game when I was younger than never again. I hope with how great Peach was in the Mario movie maybe we’ll get a follow up game now
They need to make a peach based game again, peach is literally so iconic
I 100%ed this game back in the day and I also completely forgot about it. I genuinely love it. Maybe it’s because this game was pretty easy that I couldn’t remember it. I never had to spend that much time on it.
Of course!! I absolutely loved playing the game and remember watching the trailer for it on tv when it was about to be released. I still play it on my ds and it continues to be my favorite game of the whole Super Mario world.
Super Princess Peach is one of my favorite games ever and it actually made me a Mario fan again! I really hope for a sequel!
I loved this game SO much as a kid. Over the years I lost my copy. I miss it so much.
Great video as usual. Would love to see you cover the starfy series at some point since ive only ever played the legend of starfy. Didnt know there were other games till i got older and learned most of them didnt get released in the west or at least not that i could find
Ironically one of the few mario games i tried
This was my first video game as a child and I’ll always treasure it. It’s great to see people talking about it
This game is pretty special to me, too! I got it when I was like 5 and never actually beat it, but I still have it and hearing people talk about it feels crazy. I always thought it was kind of obscure.
a parasol?...PERRY THE PARASOL?!
And thats the thing, is ok if Peach is super strong but also girly...Mario movie.
This game was an absolute joy to play and definitely an under rated gem in the DS library.
i LOVED this game as a kid. the artstyle was sooo cute and awesome and the gameplay was so much fun!!! thank you jordan for making a video on this ahh
I actually remember seeing this game somewhere at a GameStop mall many years ago.I don’t remember much about getting the game because it was just a princess peach game. Not another Mario solo game. But I’m glad games from my childhood are getting more attention and being talked about.
This was one of my favorites as a kid. I mean I was bad at it, but I still liked it.
The random star enemy was scary as hell though.
I loved this game and would immediately buy a sequel if one ever comes out!!
I loved this game.
The part you only touched on that was interesting was how the vibes basically made 4 variations of common ememies.
Goomba's could be normal or they could be angry and shake the map.
or they could be happy and flying.
It just made the game charming as you had all these interesting enemy subtypes.
When you realize princess peach only starred in the game where the objective was to get a vibrator 😂.
This was one of my favorite games as a kid!! I was obsessed with princess peach and this game has a special place in my memories
this is so nostalgic, something about the movement with the emotions and on the little cloud you can ride was so satisfying.
This! ALL of this!!!!
There's a Mario Bible?
We could start a religion about this
This game deserves a re-release!
No wonder Mario always accepts a cake and a kiss on the cheek, living with this woman would be a rollercoaster
It's just comical they finally give The Girl her own game and her powers include crying and getting really angry.
this was one of my fave games as a wee lass
I played this game over and over again. It is one of my personal favorites as the gameplay and animation is so good to me. And nostalgia hits hard when I see this game. I wish they had more from this game and make it into a series!
