    As a college student, your videos have really been a great way for me to sit back and relax for a little while, as I've been studying for my finals almost non-stop these past few weeks. I recently came across your channel and I really hope you continue to make these kind of videos. They are a lot of fun to watch! Seems to me like you're living the dream! Thank you for allowing us to join you on your adventures!

    I really like this guys style of video. Really informative on so many levels, and the details he shows on these videos are great. Add the production value of multiple cameras etc. I really appreciate the work that goes into these.

    Thank you Jack for another great video adventure in trucking. In 2015, I went through a very bad time in my life and watching your videos back then really helped. You took me places I'd never been, showed me a lifestyle I've never been part of, and your calm voice and tremendous work ethic really inspired me to keep on trucking with life. Thank you Jack and God bless you.

    So I'm a little late and didn't read all the comments but, I'll finish your history. I grew up literally 5 miles from that plant born and raised in Lorain. The road you saw going over US 6 to the lake side was part of the year course for when the finished cars rolled off the line. The Tampa you speak of were used to load the cars in trains. They never shipped them by the lake only train and truck. A majority of the plant has been torn down but what's left lives on as history. I once worked with a retired gentleman who moved to Lorain in 1958 to work at ford for 1.57 and hour. In nearby Elyria stands a repurposed GM plant specifically fisher body. Lots of history in the area with much of it gone.

    Indiana Jack! You are a truly patient man. I've been retired since 2015 but even then there were so many trucks on the road a guy had to change his way of operating such as moving the truck after fueling, get a shower early in the morning etc. out of respect for other drivers. I started in 1970 and have used the military barracks style showers. Today's showers are much better. I've owned a few Ford's in my lifetime that were built in Lorraine, Ohio. I guess your headed for Sam's Club in Lakeland. Thanks for the ride. I'm gonna jump off here and take care of a chore. Truck em easy😎🇺🇸

    Very much enjoyed this vid Jack - the extra on road footage added to the quality production. Being from the 'land down under' am curious about the weather at this time of year, I see the trees in Ohio still without much foliage. A short mention of the forecast etc could add to the experience for us 'armchair' riders. Stay safe.

    Nice video Jack ,thank for making them it's nice to see someone with such a good attitude. When you mentioned the guy getting killed in SC ,it reminded me I heard on the news a couple days ago that a trucker at Knight in Katy, Tx. shot a employee, and then himself. the shooter was someone that had been fired, other guy was a manager or dispatcher. It's a shame stuff like that happens .

    Hi Indiana: Good on you re the Salad. Years ago I went to more veggies, fruit and fish forgetting much bread or cookies. I'm older than God and haven't one Ache.....so glad I did. I'm sure I mentioned this before, my going to more Salmon got rid of headaches. I would go home every day with a headache and now, 20 years later, have not had one! We sure are what we eat. Keep up the great work.

    I have been down these roads many time on trips for the Regional Concert Production Company that I had worked for ten of the last sixteen years. Outside Ripley, WV. there is a town that is unincorporated called Cottsgeville that has a fair named Jackson County Jr. Fair where I have worked for a week at a time. Made some good friends there that included a local police officer that worked all of the concerts at the fair at the time.

    Did you try feeling under the water pump if you can reach it? Also keep an eye on your oil dip stick, first sign of bubbles or milk brown think about another head gasket, but if caught early, you should only need the head shaved and a new gasket, a lot cheaper than last time. However I hope it's just very minor. BTW, yes love following you on my google trucking map, as I try to do with a lot of the trucking videos out there, except you make it a lot easier than most, they make me work for it LOL. U are unique as few tell you where they are and their destination, along with some history.

    That old Ford plant you loaded at, is it the one west of Cleveland in Avon Lake?
    If so, I delivered there once back in the early 90's and I think it was an Aerostar assembly plant at that time.

    I used to work out of Medina, Oh. hauling shingles for Qwens Corning. If you ever land in Lodi again use my secret parking spot. I 76 EB exit 2. EOR T/L. Cross over I 76. There is a Hardees on the LHS with plenty of parking. There is a hotel, DQ, pizza place and a Conv. store all in walking distance. Happy Trails! On a side note My Dad worked for Fremont Plastic Mold where he made the molds for the original Hot Wheel. I had one of the prototypes.

    Hi Indiana: On your water leak, are you looking at the level at the same time? By same time, I mean only check it before you start....when everything is still cold. Water Volume goes up and down depending on its temperature as the Temperature changes the Water's volume. If you fill it too much, it will just get blown off out the overflow pipe. Just running a long hill will change the volume in the Radiator....let the truck find its own level. If you have to add each day or two when cold, then you do have a leak. Check for leaks when cold as heat will often seal up a small leak. If you have access to a roll of white paper 3 feet wide and 7 feet long, lay it under the engine overnight....this will pick up the water from a cold leak.

    I stay in my truck. I have a flat screen TV with Google Chromecast , a PS4 and a laptop. Truck stops charge to much so there is no need to go inside. All I do is walk around and leave. When I started over 20 years ago it was a different story. Back then we would hang around party row. Drink beer, BBQ and someone was always around to play the guitar, we had fun back then. Not anymore. I miss the old days. Now it's a job just like any other job. And freedom? Forget it. They track every move you make.

    • @beerrunner8153
      @beerrunner8153 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Uncle Buck
      It's not us that did that it's the mega carriers that did that to us. Back in the day all we had was a pay phone and map. We had time between pick ups and deliveries. I remember calling in and they say call back in 2 hours. A driver had time to sit and talk to other drivers. Now it's go,go,go. No time for anything but work. It was a great job to have. Now they look over shoulder to make sure you working. And don't get me going on the driver facing cameras. I'm glad to remember the better times.
