What Sir Elton did for my life could have never been predicted and perhaps still cannot be put into words.💜In L. A. @ the Universal Amphitheater - the 80s. Elton stopped his performance after seating himself for his 4th number (Rocket Man) when I appeared at the stage with 2 dozen meticulous red roses (presentation style) He pulled a spotlight on me and proceeded to bring me up for a photoshoot.🌹He was speaking to me and sweating on my vintage black sequined sweater! (What is vintage for if not for SIR ELTON!) This man is not only a musical genius but the most extraordinary person I have ever met.🌈TEN YEARS AFTER: Crisler Arena - Ann Arbor MI.... he stopped another performance to accept roses from me and actually looked at me as if to say: "Don't I know you from somewhere?" And I looked at him and said: 'You are my hero." Perhaps even my saving grace. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Awesome! It was one of my favourites in the early 80s. Elton and Supertramp. So glad, that they are all still well and alive. Everybody but Dee. RIP. What a great concert.
It’s not really a bright and happy tune if you listen to the lyrics. It’s about a man who can’t sleep, his relationships are worsening, he’s having trouble understanding the world and he’s just so down. It’s still a really great song.
@@nickavenoso7851They made it more upbeat for this performance, which was a great call given the high-energy concert, but you’re right, the album version is much more subdued. I always found it soothing in a way because it was pleasant sounding, but the lyrics were indeed very somber.
@@TravelinBand747 I know that. I was talking about the lyrical content. In this performance it sounds like a happy song, but when you dive into the lyrics the song takes on a whole new persona and you realize the story that Bernie wrote about. Too Low For Zero is personally one of my favorite Elton songs from the 80’s.
CHR1SMOV1ES I got the album as a cassette and played it so much that I broke it and my dad had to buy me another copy which he then copied on a blank tape!!!
My first concern ever and was in Christchurch addington raceway at age 13 helpin out with food shops .Got stoned walking from stall to stall . Was way cool.
This album is brilliant.

Thank you Mister John!👍
Amazing version. Really well played.
They kicked it up a notch here, a drum machine is keeping the beat, which is why Nigel is standing up front.
Such a bright happy tune to brighten our day and Elton and Nigel look great.
