Thx for your comment. Yes, I drive 1200miles just to have a few laps on that track, but it is worth it. I bought the car when it was 10 years old, and still it cost me 100.000 USD to get plates on it in Norway.
Excellent driving skills! I have some track time in a 2002 Z06. I marvel at how competent these Corvettes are on the track vs newer more expensive vehicles. You would be even more insanely fast an 02 or newer Z due to minor design changes.
8 min and 04 seconds is a great time. Wow, you know how to drive this Z06 on that track. I have an '02 Z06 with mods and plan to track it, but it feel like too much car for me at this time LOL. Thanks for the upload! BTW, long drive from Norway. Your country is beautiful (but expensive as hell) and full of American muscle cars - I swear that I saw more muscle cars in Norway and Sweden than I see over in the States on an average day.
Idk if this was addressed to anybody making comments about the headlights being up; the headlights were up because of the weather/safety reasons. Obviously we all know the car would have turned better times without them up lol
Thx. Yes, you're correct. I flash for safer passing. I have about 18000 on the clock. It is a 2001 and no heads up, but I plan to get a GPS track system showing the speed on the vid. At 3.13 I have 155mph and the left corner right after goes at 110mph to give you an idea.
Great video, thanks for sharing!! I own a 2001 Z06 and love the performance. In the US you can buy one of these for under 24,000 dollars. Great value for the money - and loads of performance as your video shows.
No, the car does not understeer much. It is very neutral, (only a little understeer) and it is the angle of the camera lens that makes you think so. After this video was shot I have fitted new sway bars to get a little oversteer and hopefully catch a few seconds, but it takes time to get used to and get confidence.
I have actually got one, but it does not connect well to my HTC. If you know about a vendor that sell reliable obd2 sensor I am happy to know it. The video itself is made with a obd2. You can see my other video where I got the speed recorded, but it is lots of work to make it all work.
Hey what was the yellow car? Was that a lambo? And there was a black car with a center brake light. Ferrari? Good job at blowing all that other stuff away, you're a better driver than I am.
You should get one of those obd2 sensors that connect to smartphones/tablets, one with a camera, so you can mount it on the dash, and have on screen tachometers, some of them show throttle, brake, rpm, speed, horsepower, and what ever other tachs u want on there... that way we could see how fast your going and how much your on the throttle
If you turn off your headlights, you might be able to do a lap in under 8:00. lol

Corvette is the car of the gods
Odin, drives a C5 Z06

Love the sound of that V8
Wonderful driving, and video. Thank you so much. Love my Corvette.
Thx. In Norway this costed me more than 100.000 USD...so you are lucky!!
Absolutely great driving!!! Awesome video, thank you for sharing!
This looks like a blast
Amazing work, with other drivers, and prior to the mildly revised engine of 02 and revised suspension in 04. Very impressive
Hello. I have had no problems whatsoever with the car. it is very reliable, and a real Porche killer :-)
Idk if this was addressed to anybody making comments about the headlights being up; the headlights were up because of the weather/safety reasons. Obviously we all know the car would have turned better times without them up lol
Wow what a track video!

Damn so a 2002 z06 would do it in even less time?

very good driving . hats off
Awesome track weapon.
Amazing video! Ready to take a lap also much appreciated that you record yours!
I have had no problems whatsoever with my car. I think it is very reliable. I see Porsche and BMW have lot more issues..

It is stock. Just added a KN filter and upgraded brake discs and pads.
Was that also a Corvette you passed at 8:52? Did you give him the Corvette Wave?
@skandal57 Thx. Yes you should:-)
That's what it should cost for the performance it gives ;)
Great Video
Fuck man for a car under 30k theres no beating that, also potential for mods is crazy
smooth 👍
Thx..I'll post a new one this year if I can get it under 8 min..

GUT GEMACHT !!
If your still interested, Ive got a reliable one. Works with a buddy's HTC one x.
You forgot the heads up display.
schöner Porsche 944 am Anfang
from where the camera is mounted it feels like every corner your understeering like a bat outta hell... it confuses the hell out of me!
Yes I am flashing the lights..It has 20.000 miles on it. It is a 2001 so no heads up, but I'll try to import speed file on the next vid

Divad Noodeldehm at the very beginning? It was a Gumpert
with the flip up lights down it will go faster
True, those things are like big blocks on the front of a car. It's not good
So... you didn't get on it on the straightaway why?
what do you got done to the car???
aww tht sucks man, but yeh i have no idea about any one else that makes them, the only spot i know of where to get them is ebay

Thats funny...but you did not have to think about crashing the fenders.. I think that Playstation is a bit more accurate than Forza myself..
those lights gotta go I can't wait to remove mine and replace them with c5r lights
Brett ward420 congratulations on turning one of the best looking vettes to one of the shittiest.
Ill sell you mine for half that :D
Super slow by today's standards. There's a video of a 2012 ZR1 at the Ring that makes this look like a drive through the neighborhood.
