For many people, including myself, a little heads up: Surround sound is not supported for any TH-cam video when viewed on PC. It's only for the TH-cam App currently on TV's and some Smart devices.
Works great on my chromecast ultra with 5.1 soundbar that has 2 rear satellites + sub. The soundbar lit up the led to indicate dolby digital and all the channels output correctly 🙂 I wish there were more demos out here with true 5.1 channels instead of faked downmixed stereo.
My LG Dolby digital TV is connected by optical cable to my yamaha amplifier. When the video plays the sub on my system doesn't, and the rear speakers don't distinguish between left and right. What can it be?
Optical cable may have limitations. TH-cam does support a fairly basic dolby digital track, but it could be the cable. You should also check the settings of your amplifier, especially the subwoofer. The LFE+Main option also helps.
It seems Yotube not allow play 5.1 via browser.I inserted URL in Pot player but it shows stereo any way. I have Pioneer receiver connected opticaly to PC.
Im sure there are those that would disagree but thst's prolly better left for another day. I for one have only listened through headphones and I've heard some mind blowing stuff. Can't wait to get the rest of my speakers together so I can test your theory out😀@@51TestClips
"Once you select a video to play, a player control bar will show. Go to 5.1 surround sound to turn it on or off. Note: The setting will only appear for videos and devices that support 5.1 surround sound. 5.1 in TH-cam is supported on all 2021 and later TVs, Chromecast, Apple TV, Roku and most Fire TV devices."
My Denon Avr show 5.1 Dolby Digital signal on this and every real 5.1 youtube videos. Pro logic 2 is the stereo to 5.1 virtual upmix, but it is a stereo sound upmix to surround. TH-cam player option below the resolution give a 5.1 surround option it your devices support is.
If you are playing any TH-cam video on PC, it will not work. TH-cam downgrades all audio to stereo when played through a browser. 5.1 is only enabled for Smart TV's and the like.

Как его распределить на 5.1 звук в ютубе он разве не мешает все каналы ?
По блюпурсу если выдавать на систему ?

Working on fire 🔥
Funciona a la perfección! Al fin encontré uno que funciona como debería, solo que dura mucho cada uno pero de resto, perfecto!
Had no idea this was supported. It worked on my Roku Ultra.
Olá! É pocivel fazer uma instalação 5.1 na mulimidia. Tenho uma lelong, o chicote rca só veio frente direita e frente esquerda

Same
Hmmm, Don't hear the sub on my headphones
What headphones are you using?
Sony Open Back Reference Monitor Headphones MDRMV1@@51TestClips
It is a very good headphone, but as such it only imitates real surround sound, as the possibilities of a headphone are limited.
Air pod 3 cannot hear too

The dolby digital 5.1 feature on TH-cam seems to have disapeared. Only for yt premium ? Someone has infos?
Surround sound works the same for me. I have no information that it only applies to premium members, it is independent of that.
If your playing it on PC, it won't work. It's only for TV apps or Smart devices.

அது எப்படி திமிங்கலம் Stereo சவுண்ட்ல 5.1 வருது. TH-cam supports only stereo sound.

All is right than with my headphnes without sub😢
Do you known if youtube is compatible with 7.1 channels?! Is there some free codec?
Futureproof video! As soon as it is really supported, this video will render it perfectly. currently 5.1 surround works perfectly.
Ok👍💯
Super 😂😂
Its work
but there's no any 5.1 option here! It's 5.1 Dolby Digital or 5.1 Dolby Prologic II?

My right surround comes out the right front. Same with the left side.
Try this channel tests for the correct speaker position.

Try several settings that your sound system allows for the subwoofer. The LFE+Main setting is recommended.
