Great way to make some desserts / puddings without making the caramel yourself :) I'm presuming you aren't in the UK? I wish I could point you in the right direction if you're elsewhere. They're always down the aisle (or used to be..I think they still are) with the jelly / condensed milk / UHD milk / dessert style bits & bobs. x

I want 5 tins of custard.
boil cans of sweetened condensed milk for a couple of hours and you'll get something quite similar.
Well, carnation produces it, so you might be able to find it where their products are sold. Considering they produce their ever-famous evaporated milk, the caramel might be nearby.
+Martin Kåsa Notodden Try a pressure cook pot and it will take only 40min for a firm, dark caramel, even less for lighter, smoother one. ;)
I'm sure that if Ashens had 100 label-less tin cans in front of him and one of them had dog-food and they told him to choose one, he'd still manage to choose the dog-food can.

Had to come back and find this video because ‘Tactical Caramel’ and Barry’s reaction to thinking he’d missed out on a PlayStation game by the same name has lived in my head free for the last 8 years.
Ashens seems to have begun smiling more! It's nice to see him like this and I won't mind if he appears more often now.

Graylord I thought the same thing. Barry said he bought all the tins, I think the idea of this game is for someone else to buy the tins and surprise the people playing.
Mark Caswell I would assume Barry also removed the labels before writing numbers on the Tins to allow for more randomness.
The 64th Shadow Wouldn't it have been more random if Barry hadn't been involved in the picking and label removing process. I wonder if he knew which tins held the rice pudding etc :)

I have a massive amount of food allergies and my diet can be quite limited. For a good chunk of years there I would eat a can of cold garbanzo beans (chick peas) every day for lunch right out of the can. When I traveled to Italy with my choir I had to pack my own food - and I took ten cans of garbanzo beans with me. Homeland Security loved that.
Bruh, I'd rather die. Like, legit, if i had that, I would kms in front of a hospital because I'm an organ donor, and harvesting time for organs is limited. I would certainly rather save other lives than suffer through my own.

Fresh asparagus is delicious but I tried canned asparagus once.......... once..... I'd rather have cat food.

phillip waldernar depends. Some food will stay just fine, other food grows disgusting. There's lots of canned food over here I like. Also it's kinda cheap and real quick.

The asparagus is, I suspect, very similar to the Midwestern American style of cooking vegetables-- or cooking just about anything, really: boil it until it's mushy and flavorless.
Really want some caramel and custard now...

There is a similar dish in the Philippines called Bopis, although it is not traditionally cooked in sheep's stomach, it is also heavily spiced but even then you could taste individual layers of flavours. Bopis in general is all sorts of unwanted meat like intestines, lungs, hearts, damaged brains, cartilage, and Stuart's favorites hooves and eyelids.
chickpeas straight out the can like that is amazing, so good, especially that brand. And the water makes them tastier

it is super special awesome, its like peanut butter but made from milk instead of nuts
you can just boil it yourself - 30 min in the microwave (not sure why you would bother tho)
