- Today we are testing July luggage: Is it unbreakable?
This is PART 2 of our July luggage review, where we are taking it for a spin, and crashing it to the ground. Yes, July says their luggage is unbreakable, and we are going to see if it's true!
I have been so disappointed in other brands, such as Away, when it comes to scratching so badly after only one use. I refuse to pay $300 for a bag that is going to get severely scratched up after one round trip flight. Which is why July was so appealing to me.

Wow, I’ve come to really enjoy and trust your reviews and I’m contemplating this one for an upcoming trip! I do check my bag due to mobility issues when I travel solo, but had been looking for a smaller carry-on bag for shorter trips. Thank you!

Just wow. What impressed me the most was how well the wheels held up with ya'll dropping onto them. If I needed another piece of luggage, this would be high on the list.

You’re welcome! I find it important to do when a bag is labeled as “indestructible”. Otherwise, I don’t test them much, as o don’t check them and let them get thrown around anyway :)

TYSM for this video! It convinced me to pull the trigger and invest in good quality luggage. I just purchased the July Trunk set from the limited edition heritage trunks in the color brown! I had to be talked out of buying LV Horizon, which I love, but in reality you never know when an airline is going to bust your hardshell on purpose, and in the end as pretty as the LV luggage looks, it is not worth it. So glad I happened to come across July luggage in the color brown! It's going to match so well with my keepall duffle!! TY!

Thanks for the thorough review! This luggage looks great, and I’m considering buying a set. Just wish they’d come out with a color that leaves the bumpers unpainted/ silver… that way, scratches aren’t taking off any paint.
For the carry on essential (I believe it’s called) there aren’t bumpers or a battery pack and I wish I would have gotten that one. My friend also has the light with no bumpers. No scratches at all.
@@ItsTheKellys so you would've skipped the one with the aluminum bumpers? I already have a battery pack but it looked pretty cool to have one in the actual suitcase. Still debating between this one and the essential one because of that...and the laundry bag LOL. Thanks for your reviews though! I finally subscribed and I'm trying to replace my Samsonite that just got lost on a Spirit flight 2 weeks ago (my fault for trying to save money and check the bag smh lol). Keep the videos coming! ❤
I would get the essential. Most flights don’t even let you fly with the battery pack in the bag! They make you take it out. And OH NO spirit! Ugh!

i love all your reviews! I'm leaning towards the July light expandable. I have Health issues where I can't carry anything on my back and I need it to be easy to maneuver up and down steps and on cobblestone .
We will be traveling out of the country. I also need a rolling under seat personal bag, any recommendations? We will be traveling on Turkish Airlines and Italia Airlines.
I’m obsessed with the light expandable! I’d love to get one myself. As for a rolling one, it might be hard with their personal item allowances. My wifi here in Tahiti isn’t strong enough to look them up right now!
But if you’re doing the carry on/personal item route, you don’t really need a rolling personal item with your rolling carry on. Just get something within the limits that has a trolley sleeve and you won’t have to carry it at all!
@It's The Kellys Thanks for your reviews. I am trying to figure out if the July pro takes up some space on the inside that could otherwise be used for packing. I do not necessarily need a laptop compartment, but if it does not take away valuable inside space, I can consider it. The website says all carry-ons (except the light) are 42L capacity, but I am wondering if that is true because of the power back and the laptop compartment. By the way, all other reviews I have found online state that the capacity is 46L....just adds to my confusion. I need the most space for a 3-week international trip, but if space is not compromised, then, I would go for the pro....any insights? Thanks!
I saw it in person a few weeks ago in Sydney. It takes up maybe a half inch, but only in the middle part, where the pocket is, if that makes sense.
Thank you for this review!! I need to buy luggage for a cruise in Dec and I've been looking at maybe July luggage sets but was hesitant. I wish you could do a review like that on July's Truck Set. I've don't see many reviews on the Truck Set and wonder how scratched up the glossy coating will be. I'm torn between the Trunk Set and the Family Set. Any suggestions??
I will look into a bit more when I get off this flight and let you know what I think. I’ve always wanted to try a trunk, and hopefully will one day. But next on my July wish list is the PRO!

Traveling for 19 days overseas in 3 weeks. Considering the smallest check bag, 26" (I'm usually the 28" expandable packer) I'm tired of luggage wheels and handles breaking. Do you think their checked bags isn the same quality as their carryon here?
I’m sure. I checked my carry on and it was fabulous. I would imagine their larger ones would be just as great!

Yes it’s incredible. I checked it recently too and there wasn’t a scratch on it after!

@@ItsTheKellys Mine was damaged due to mishandling on my flight home from Tanzania, the New York to San Diego leg 😞I've also had someone try to steal my wheelchair by claiming it was theirs when they got off the flight. It's exciting haha

Nothing to do with this subject but have you found flights for March 22 springbreak yet?
We aren’t doing a spring break trip next year because we will be moving homes, but I did have my itinerary and flights saved. Internationally, flights should be out. Domestic or budget air might not be out yet.
I really like that suitcase but I can't keep buying every luggage piece that comes out gets to be so addictive beautiful color though definitely worth it if it is completely scratch proof damage proof features are nice love the interior luggage is just so pricey now.

It does! Everything this bag does is buttery smooth.
Maybe need like a knee pad on that aluminium section one haha 😂😂

Beis will always be a favorite but this one has more qualities than Beis. It is small enough to go international (beis isn’t) and has the battery!

Well, july is good for all flights around the world (international sizing) and beis is only good for US based airlines. (Almost 2 inches taller) At least for a carry on! July is lighter, and higher quality but more expensive.
