    Not a big of Yuki but VCARB's strategies really fucked him over, same for DR. Each race one of them would be a sacrificial lamb, tough to watch.

      @@brooklynsbaby4367 100% agree with you. I think they and Sauber were competing for most bad strategies. So many strange decisions... The "jr" team mentality doesn't help that either, like I said in the video, that mentality is determental to the team.

    I honestly do not get the Tsunoda hype. Not that I dislike him, but Tsunoda has developed very little from the start of 2021 to now, and he's still as hot-headed as in the beginning of his career. If Gasly wouldn't have left in 2022, Yuki's F1 career would be over due to underperforming, no questions asked. He's not bad, but he's not setting the world alight, he never has.
    Also, the comparison graphic you're showing at 14:12 is unfairly skewed in favour of Tsunoda. No, Tsunoda did not massively outscore Lawson. True is: Tsunioda did score 47 points... but not in 11 races. No, in all 46 races + 12 sprints from 2023 and 2024 whereas Lawson only has his 6 points from the 11 races and 4 sprints. The actual points head-to-head is 8-6 for Tsunoda. If I would be Horner or Marko, I would rather look at Lawson and congratulate him for being on par with Tsunoda despite the massive experience deficit.

      I think I feel a similar way to you about Yuki. Once the initial "OMG Poor Yuki" died down and we take a proper look at the info. Given his lack of time in the seat, being that close to Yuki is excellent - although I would have expected a little more form Liam in 2024. Iit makes a lot of sense to go with Liam over Yuki. I don't like RB dangling a carrot in front of him if they have made up their mind (if they don't need him let him go). I also think it is going to be tough for Yuki to land a seat if he leaves the red bull frame but hey time will tell.
      And apologies, yes you are correct about the graphic. I'll add a disclaimer or edit it, once I figure out how to do that in the youtube editor!

    The expectations for the 2 are completely different. This was one last go to try to get to the top for Ricciardo, and he failed to even beat his teammate. For Lawson, he is just getting started so less is expected

      Yes, even though Liam was also behind Yuki, he was still close and should only get better. Once Daniel failed to beat Yuki AND Red Bull wanted RB to still be their feeder team (because of the Perez problem), keeping Daniel didn't make sense. It's exciting to have all these rookies ! Do you think Liam will be the strongest rookie in 2025?

    Whilst yes Daniel might’ve been close to Yuki in the races, the expectations for the two were entirely different.
    In the words of Marko, Daniel was brought back to see if he could make a claim for the red bull seat, he was meant to convincingly outperform a 4th year Yuki and punch above that cars weight consistently, he failed to come anywhere close. Yuki’s was to match and beat Daniel who the experienced benchmark. He did to Daniel what Daniel was meant to do to him. I’ve seen the same argument used in Schumacher vs Magnussen which was oh well Mick actually beat Kevin in the race head to heads, sure he might’ve by a convincing way, but Magnussen was the one racking in the points, anything else is useless. And it’s the same with Ric and Yuki, their points head to head that season before Ric was dropped was 8 times scoring for Yuki and 4 for Daniel. And if Ric at the age of 35, who’s already been dropped once for underperforming, in a “junior team” that’s meant to be a pathway to Red Bull racing can’t get that pathway… there’s literally no reason for him to be in F1, he had his chance and this all could’ve been avoided if he hadn’t have left Red Bull in the first place. his only use is as a commercial asset.

    • @BMF1-Official
      @BMF1-Official  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Yes, as sad it is for anyone who was a Danny Ric fan, it didn't make sense to keep a driver who was only "doing enough" when the reason he came back was to do more.
      I agree too, he should never of left Red Bull! There was some interesting comments from RB engineers basically saying his time at McLaren effectively destroyed his confidence and he never got it back. I also think that the ground effect cars also make it harder for him to access his natural speed and late breaking overtakes. Not an excuse for him, as all drivers have to adapt to that, but it could have contributed.

I don't expect him to beat Max, but if the car is good he will get podiums and maybe a win. He's also got the superb wheel to wheel racecraft, so no matter what at least he'll be exciting to watch.

      Honestly, Lawson over Tsunoda is more controversial from a pure numbers POV BUT it makes far more sense for red bull to promote Liam, it seems like he might have a higher ceiling, and Max may not be around for that much longer (who knows?). Time will tell if they are right
