      Many thanks, I've been looking for "freelance copywriting blog" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Fenrianna Subconscious Framework - (do a search on google ) ? It is a smashing one of a kind product for discovering how to become an in demand freelance copywriter with no experience minus the normal expense. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my colleague got excellent success with it.

    English was one of my strongest subjects in school, however I fn hated writing 5 page essays. Such a waste of time and boy was it time consuming. But copywriting is different because I can do simple things like Social media post, emailing, etc.

    This video was great.
    I am a freelance content writer from India and I do watch your videos.
    2 months back, I got an Indian client and offered me copywriting. Though I had never done copywriting and didn't even mentioned in my LinkedIn.
    It was my first copy I had ever written and it took me 1 and half day of research and 2 hours of writing.

    I've heard that it is best to use your name as your business name when starting a copywriting business. Do you think it is better to use your name or come up with some creative business name? My name is more common than I thought it would be and when I Google my name, another person who also happens to be a writer comes up so I am wondering what I should do. Thanks and Happy Holidays!

    • @AlexCattoni
      @AlexCattoni  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hmm. I don't have a strong opinion about either or. But using your name makes it a lot easier to pivot to something different in the future, if you decide to. With that being said, if you use a pen name, or a brand name that's more universal, that allows you to pivot as well as differentiate. If another writer has you name I'd definitely do something different. Happy Holidays!!

    Yeah, copywriting is a good business but it needs language so fluently, according to you said that language is not necessary but it is my special attention in English language, So I am not able to convey my whole idea 💡 but I as well as possible I am trying to understand what I listened, what next my reaction, how to delever on the 🧱🪨 spot as what I heard back 🔙 to you in response it may negative or positive.I accept it can be done ✅ in many languages but it is not possible at the 🧱🪨 same time now, it takes too much time.
    Copy writing is a one type of thoughts that we convert into words, So how much our relentless in that way it is depend on us. it may also in many styles, how to make it interesting that is the skills of copy writing Blog.
    thanks 🫂😊 for all your 🎁 experiment 🧪 to deal with me in differient way and focusing by me is well learning lessons for me.

    I'm in a pickle and can't seem to find a good answer anywhere. Hope you can help....
    You mentioned that good copy is not filler copy and i totally agree with that. But the Google Ads algorithm seems to disagree.
    The quality score i get for a full of filler copy landing page goes around 8/10 and has 11% ctr, but my LP following every good practice goes around 5/10 with 3,5% ctr
    The conversion rates are about the same, so i should keep both online, right? Problem is that the filler page gives me A LOT of bad leads, like, my receptionist was receiving calls that had very different objectives, but those contacts made sense, when looking at the copy.
    I'm a psychologist and have LP's for keywords like anxiety, for example, and people started calling wanting free therapy sessions by phone. NO intention of scheduling an appointment and getting pissed when informed that they shoud schedule an appointment.
    TL;DR: how to create a high score LP but not filling it just for the sake of maximizing keyword relevance?

    • @AlexCattoni
      @AlexCattoni  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! Well, what you’re talking about is SEO and ranking pages, which is different from direct response copywriting. If both are getting you leads, I’d keep them both up but perhaps you can see where people are getting confused on the long page and update the messaging to try to improve the quality of your leads. At the end of the day, you need to optimize your site for actual conversions, not dud leads. Hope that helps!

I used to write reviews for Amazon products earlier, now I am working as a content writer, writing content for websites, blogs, product descriptions, sales letters... don't u think things are messed up? I use Google Drive to write copy in. Then I use lead pages to build landing pages, and WordPress for my homepage. Although I’ve heard great things about square space too! And click funnels is great too for full funnels.

    As someone with a formal writing and english degree, I don't completely agree with your statement that in order to be a good copywriter, we have to "unlearn" what we spent four years perfecting. A writing or english degree is not just learning grammar and spelling. Something that I really relate to and understand on a deep level is the importance of research to create good copy--it's the exact same concept when you're writing a paper on a shakespearean play. You have to research your source material, research your audience, and research outside sources in order to build your argument, which is essentially the "call to action." Furthermore, the idea that writing short, concise, and effective copy taking a much longer time than writing long-form content is the EXACT same thing I learned studying my degree. Learning to communicate effectively through the written word emphasized the importance of writing as concisely as possible because that is the most effective way to gain your audience's attention--which takes a hell of a long time, just as you said. That is what rhetoric is all about. It's about linking together persuasive strategies to create compelling and effective rhetoric for your audience.

      Hey there! Wow, thank you so much for the thoughtful comment! I love your feedback. And you're right. Maybe "unlearn' was the wrong word. Maybe "re-calibrate" is more appropriate. I'm speaking only from my experience. Many writers I've worked with who come from a formal writing background have found it hard to really nail the informal/conversational and, frankly, painfully simple tone of copywriting. With that being said, there is a TON of overlap, as you pointed out, and your experience absolutely does put you at an advantage. It's just not necessary in order to be a copywriter :) Thank you again for your thoughtful comment. I deeply respect your opinion and insight.
