Much like "Abigail", the 2024 film adaptation of "Salem's Lot" is the kind of old-school vampire spookfest that I have been waiting for an eternity, and when it was released on streaming, I quite enjoyed it from beginning to end.
They did what they could with what they were given with Salems Lot. I haven't even seen or read any of the other versions, so they had a prime audience member where the memory of the originals can't taint what is presented, and I thought it was terrible. I had to keep reminding myself that he was supposed to be the main character, but was also hoping the vampires would get him. I also saw the Thunderbolts trailer...... Yikes. Should call it- Marvels The Suicide Squad
