Chinese Kung Fu receives alot of criticism from Mixed Martial artists. I think it's unfortunate because Kung Fu is in some ways an ancestor to MMA. And practicality aside, it's such a beautiful art form.
Most likely. Since if you are serious about an Kung Fu style, you don't just learn it's forms, but it's applications in actual fights (Sparring) as well. If you see someone performing a Kung Fu Form, that does *not* mean this person is only practising Forms. Tough I agree that the majority of Kung Fu students get so enticed by learning more and more forms that the forget, or simply don't care about, training to fight. Which isn't bad mind you. If one uses Kung Fu only as a means to get a fit body, that's completely understandable.
