Divine music, intence performance...Bravi!
Rameau Rameau ....Che Potenza....Che Bellezza....Che Eleganza queste note...Monsieur Jean Philippe Rameau Merci' beacoup 😊☺👑🎼🎹🎺📯🎻🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶❤🎶🎶
Serving my 28th season as solohorn in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra (beside my conducting career) I must just deeply bow in respect to those symphonic hornplayers who ocassionally take natural horn and can give such finest and authentic performance like those two brave colleagues...Bravi,guys!!! This is an excellent performance in general, everyone play stunningly. A pleasure to watch such communicative and musical conducting, too. Very glad I found this recording just by coincidence. Thanks!
Sorry, I cannot agree. I seen exactly one natural horn player in my 72 years, and it was actually a vented horn, that played it well enough for me to consider that I was hearing an "authentic" performance. The short harmonics are a veritable mine field for intonation and that invariably kills the performance for me.
@ Czech. Agree!!!
Bravo.
Just fabulous!! Gorgeous music by Rameau (love the mesmerizingly beautiful and moving movement at 6:17 and the wind machine (zephyrs) at around 18:00) --- really great conducting and an extraordinary orchestra! It is no wonder to me that Rameau created a groundbreaking treatise on Harmony, he was a master of that and melody and (it seems) orchestral color. This underappreciated composer (who wrote this opera at 80!) needs to be brought to the fore!
Beautiful Rameau ....performed by one of the greatests orchestras in the world..🌠🌠🌠🌠🌠
Previous comments are correct - God touched Rameau, made evident in this stunning and joyful performance. It has to be the best version I have heard and I will be playing it again and again and again.
I like the entire piece but the suite des vents est ma préférée!
New to me. Very nice composition, and a very well played performance. Thanks to all participants in performing and presenting this music on youtube.
unbeschreiblich intensiv gespielt.....schön, sehr schön....
Música músicos FUERA DE SERIE. GENIALES Y MARAVILLOSA DIRECCIÓN BRAVISSIMO
Thank you! Vielen Dank! So grateful to have this video, having just days ago attended a particularly shabby performance in Paris, in which the orchestra failed to do justice at all to Rameau's pure, limpid, evocative score (even though the chorus and some of the soloists were indeed excellent). Opera, as well as symphony or great theatre, is a collaborative discipline. All elements must work together smoothly to succeed in delighting the audience.
Quelle bonne humeur merci
Wind Machine at 18 minutes! Perfection!
One of the best version on TH-cam. I adore Jordi Savall but on this one, this video wins
But I wish they'd done a clap-along encore the way Savall did.
Performance, direction, engineering -- nothing I know comes close to hr-Sinfonieorchester presentations. Thank you so much.
For this repertoire? William Christie / Les Arts Florissants, or Mark Minkowski / Les Musiciens du Louvre???
0:29 1st movement | 2:09 repeat intro | 5:55 outro | 6:25 2nd movement (magical) | 15:42 3rd movement (unique clumsy march) | 18:19 4th movement | *24:15 5th movement (favorite) | 27:17 6th movement | 28:35 7th movement |

This is wonderful performance! Thank you.
Pour l'innocence et pour la paix.
Why not? What else is left in the end?
Bravi. This is an elegant, brisk, precise, and clean rendition. And, incidentally, what a remarkably versatile orchestra -- equally at home in this work as it is performing Jörg Widmann's music.
I SEE you...and I RAISE you! BRAVI from San Agustinillo!
@@steveegallo3384 greetings from Chicago to San Augustinillo.
It’s a very interesting approach to baroque performance: semi-modern setup, with wooden modern system flutes, and natural horns
Those are (modern) piccolos and they are most of the times made of wood anyways
Sander Fagot true but the flutes were wooden (Les Boreades only calls for piccolo in a few movements) which is unusual for major orchestras
what is a natural horn? Is it different from the supernatural ones?
18:16 LOOOOOVE that wind machine!!!!
Stunning!
Impresionante dirección, interpretación y mención especial a los Oboes. Muchas gracias.
Genial!!👌
This is a great performance! :)
That guy doing the wind thingy, you know his arms have gotta be getting tired,
I couldn't possibly agree more.
❤
6:26 God touches Rameau.
You should Vikingur Olafsson play it. It's almost impossible to believe.
15:41
Genial idea to use a couple of oboes instead of a couple of flutes...
3:16
What is that rotating drum he's cranking?
Its a windmachine

Not so much.
N'importe quoi 😅
Vous pourriez développer, par exemple...
Examples please for the real French interpretation as you said ...
