In this video I’m making a tour of my Russian summer cottage aka Dacha. It’s a lovely place where my grandma has her garden, and where you can relax and enjoy hot summer days. Because apparently nowadays Siberian summers are hot ☀️ Please enjoy and leave me a comment ❤️

Please be mindful of having a container full of water like that on your property. A child can fall into it and not be able to get out and drown. You may not have children small enough to worry about however the neighbors might and it would be a devastating and crippling lose for someone to try and get over.

Reminds me of my late grandmother and her garden. You and your kids are lucky that you have your Grandma young and vibrant. She is a treasure, a second mother and a third for your kids. Beautiful house and garden too.
Maybe your Gran can teacher you how she has created such an amazing productive garden, gardening is really healing and great for the heart,

I love Siberia in the summertime. The flowers are so intense and abundant and it’s a great place to laze around watching the buzzards soaring overhead. If you want to escape the city madness and eat amazing food, I recommend it.
I really hope the skills of gardening and preserving are being passed on to the younger generation! Your grandma knows so much about it and you will all be lost when she's gone if nobody has taken the time to learn these things, that would be so sad...A beautiful and peaceful place!
I garden in the desert of Arizona, and love to see other gardens. Your grandmother is an INCREDIBLE gardener. Her tomatoes are awe inspiring. In America we call those “heirloom” tomatoes. Or tomatoes that only gardeners grow because they are harder to transport…but are way more delicious. What a lovely place the dacha is. ❤

Surely the grandmother has a grandfather, or other assistants. In Russia, a "dacha" is a family affair :)

I admire the way that you put the important things first such as warm beds, places to sit and read or write letters, a clean and cozy kitchen with refrigerators full of healthy foods.

Your grandmother dacha reminds me so much of my grandmother summer house in Poland where I come from. She was living there basically from Early spring till first frost of late autumn. @hannaR_ it's really beautiful and safe place with a lot of natural trails and lack of pollution well for most of year anyway. Twice a year we have motorbike international races than it gets noisy but has its charm as well. Plus has a wonderful history of vikings and celts. I got here to run away from loud and quite intolerant environment in Poland. Its really nice to see.

This looks extremely similar to an American farmhouse in the Midwest region. We have large dinningrooms though with rather large table and chairs. Like mine it seats 8.

A garden is A LOT of work! I have a 400sqm garden and it is constant work against weeds, bugs, caterpillars, aphids, general care, watering, cutting back withered flowers, harvest, pickle, preserve, making jam... Your grandmother's garden is very neat and orderly. She has a lot of work with it. ❤

What a beautiful garden, I would love to have a garden like that with pesticide free veggies. Your grandmother must be very strong it’s not an easy job caring for a garden that big. Siberia is a fabulous place. I still recall the memories of my trips from Ulan Ude to Irkutsk and Mongolia.

I really enjoyed your tour. The garden and the wooden house are charming. In the south of Poland in the mountains, all wooden houses similar to this one are the norm and I really love going there. You brought a little sunshine to my depressive day in Scotland. Too much greyness and not enough sun really gets to me today and your video, even though from Russia, transported me to summer in Poland.

Such a blessing, your grandma's garden & dacha! Food grown with love is the best thing to feed our bodies & spirit🥰Being part of that, being able to learn from her wisdom is a wonderful opportunity to carry on that knowledge & caring. I'm sure she has delicious recipes from all that homegrown goodness, there's nothing better! Почти все наши бабушки имеют такое богатство. Но наши бабушки не самые богатые люди. Хотя сейчас живут намного лучше, чем после распада Союза в 90-е.
Our grandparents (I am from Southeast Europe) certainly were in a position to acquire such wealth in the past, although not all of them considered it a must. Those who had wisely distributed their income managed to build several houses and/or buy a flat in a nearby city - primarily because they cared about their families, not because they sought prestige.
On the other hand, some of our ancestors spent all their income on expensive stuff such as travelling abroad several times a year or buying designer clothes. This is why today some of us have the privilege of witnessing the amazing results of someone's hard work that has paid off indeed.
As far as the contemporary concept of abundance is concerned, in Eastern Europe you can still afford a nice piece of land with a decent house. The problem lies within the people themselves - young adults today are mostly not interested in taking care of something like that. They would rather pay a horrendous amount of money to live in a flat than live in alignment with the nature, grow their own food etc.
Therefore, dachas, cottages or any other kind of quiet places in the country are a matter of choice. At least in some parts of Europe. I myself enjoy that kind of living (for the record - I am 30) and consider it the healthiest choice I have ever made in my whole life. And I am sure my children shall thank me once they enter this world I have created - for us.
Every familly in Russia Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria ( I suppese snd Hungary, Poland and Czech R. ) are rich cos they have land and his own food and garden in village...
We ussusly eat good food... if you travel around you will see green green feelds...

I think that one of the best things about a house that is being built right now is the plumbing, the sewage and the plumbing, everything is new, clean and has no previous history of dirt, this is one of the most important things to check when moving into a house

Very pretty summer house with a fine large garden. I am sure a lot of fine memories have been created here. How many months in a year can you live in your summer house? I guess during winter it is too cold and frozen to live in.

In Texas, we call that bath house a “sauna”. 💕
