My heavily pregnant wife was sitting watching me 22 years ago sanding the floor to the nursery. I had rung the radio station and requested this song while I worked. It was a Beautiful experience and the song is so special now ❤
God yes. If there's one thing I miss since I left Sydney in the early 80s it was the pubs and clubs. Catching LRB, Jon English, Trevor White, Marcia Hines, and even Blood Sweat and Tears in the small footie club auditoriums during the 70s spoilt me forever. Not to mention bands like Inxs while they were still doing the pub circuit (they did a brilliant cover of Tax Man BTW).
greg burge so true I worked in london in the music industry in the 90s and every band I worked with loved playing in Australia and they said that the production was second to none in the world made me proud...
To My Beautiful Daughter "Bianca Lillian Jade" . This was the first song I heard the day you were born via 4KQ radio station Brisbane Qld. A fitting tribute to a Special Occasion In My Life. "You Are A Little Ray Of Sunshine" ... 🕊💖🕊
IT JUST GETS BETTER!! BLESSUP MANKIND!! Cant wait to see these Duds together again!!!! Caddie and Shorrock together again! This is how it's meant to be!!! Great, timeless Oz rock :)
The one regret of life was that I did not have children. To all you who have daughters, enjoy what you have. They are the most precious thing you will ever have. I get moved EVERY time I hear this song
Dreams do come true.Have a wonderful fiancee and our daughter is 27 days from arriving into the world.I know that I will be crying with absolute joy the day she arrives
Cant wait to see these Duds together again!!!! Going to see the boys tonight in Wollongong. They still got it! Caddie and Shorrock together again! This is how it's meant to be!!! Great, timeless Oz rock :)
Our daughter came into the world in 1995. It was a tough pregnancy for me but she was perfect. My husband went home and texted this to all our friends and family. It has been "her song" ever since. She really was, and is, a little ray of sunshine. Thank you for such a perfect song.
My parents dedicated this to me 4th December 1973. . I am blonde still - yes natural. . I love this song. My last night with my parents before I got married we sat chillin to music. I will NEVER forget dad saying you might be someone's wife/mother but you'll ALWAYS be my daughter. . My little ray of Sunshine... I am the eldest of 2 girls. .
IT JUST GETS BETTER!! BLESSUP MANKIND!! Cant wait to see these Duds together again!!!! this is my brith song Cant wait to see these Duds together again!!!! this is my brith song
Loved this song all my life and can tell you when and where I first heard at aged 14 in 1969 and look at these guys today.......simply fantastic and inspiring :)
A song that I find synonymous with my father. A song he always played when I was a bub, and if I ever have a daughter, it will certainly be a song that will be played and passed on.
Imagine being born in the late 1960s, listening to this song repeatedly in your childhood years, but seeing your Parents consistently favour the male child in the family? This song is dedicated to those girls (me included) who shone, in spite of the discrimination. POWER TO THE SISTERHOOD!
Don walker, one of the best song writers to ever draw breath, and this is one of his best.
