Definitely!! I'm with you on that !! It's amazing when you start listening to these songs your brain all of a sudden remembers all the words ! I just started singing along It's not lost is it? 😊
Brain Cadd Max Merritt Billy Thorpe Ted Mulruy Now they are amazing singers. We had the best music back in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s timeless classics Love my Aussie Music 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
I can remember listening to this when I was 18. I’m now 65 and I still love this music so much. I consider myself so lucky to live when music was so great.
I've been seeing Brian Cadd and Thorpie, Mike Rudd, etc, etc since I was 15 and just love live music, always will. So many great musos...I'm 67 & still rocking!!!
this was the 1st time i let myself hear this song again, in full since my dad passed, bk in 2004.. without having an emotion of either.. sadness or relief... if u know, u know, why.
I still love the music, from the 70s. This song was one of my favourite songs, back then & it still is now ! The lyrics have a message, to let go of a person, who broke your heart. I can relate to this, at the moment. ☹️
Brian Cadd was my finest creative Australian inspiration in the early seventies. Just kept coming out with stuff that hit my soul every time. He inspired me to go out and do my own thing. Some people are just born with it and he's got it all.
We can't possess anything in this life, even the body our soul temporarily lives in will be eliminated one day. Letting go of possessing is the hard lesson. But it's the most rewarding in the long run. Brian reminds us of that with this great song. A really wonderful musical memory from the 70's.
70's was like a good ol' wine with that rock 'n' roll If it feels real good it moves my soul But if it hurts to remember what we lost in time but I can't let go
I first heard this song when I was about 10 I’m almost 55 now. Some how that song always stayed with me and Brian cadd was brilliant that generation sure could get to the heart of emotions and take us along for the ride. I’ve needed this song once ,youd think when my husband and I broke up but no it was the relationship after that, it lasted 4 yrs longer then my 5 yr marriage and I never loved again, still this song always makes me think of him. Xox sept 2024
I wish I could snap freeze this 4:21 and have it in a room that I could walk into whenever I wanted to. Makes me cry everytime I hear it..... Wish I could have known Brian Cadd back then; watching the expressions on his face at certain points in the video when he sings about the "dreams by phone" and "you should know that before you she did the same to me". Just f.....n magic!!!!!!
1973 International Hotel in Tullamarine (now called Zagames), underage, sitting at the back table sipping black russians. If that wasn't cool enough in itself at 15, Billy Thorpe was up at the front with the Aztecs. No violence, just great times when you could go to a pub, have a table and seat and listen to Aussie's give the best of music to us.
What a great blast from the past - one of my favourite songs from the era. His voice is such an iconic part of the Australian soundscape of the early to mid seventies. It is a voice like no other. Great clip still pretty intact. thanks for sharing it.
An amazing voice and a person full of passion and project a soft powerful personality. Now 76 still performing and does a perfect show. I saw him on Sunday at Tallagandra Hill winery. Interacts with the audience and the response was amazing. Now lives at Woodstock NJ and continue to be inspired by the locals who had the amazing experience of the Woodstock Festival
I saw Brian and Glen Shorrock last weekend and they are as good as they've ever been.. Rock on Brian you are the BEST.. Funny man with such an awesome voice. Love you big xxx
:) some strange times back then.... good music, lots of Bob Dylan, Jackson Browne, Daddy Cool etc,,, - And the fashion well,,,,er um ...??????? Talk about that another time lol
Heeeeyy m8 yeah u betcha i'll be crankin' up Acca Dacca (AC/DC) for N.Y.E, might throw in some Cold Chistle too. You have yourself a blast 2nite and...... behave....lol HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIEND :)
It was like, back when, Brian Cadd would just knock off a song like this for fun. And if he didn't need it at the time, he'd just give it to a mate. He was just *that* good.
Saw Cadd and Shorrock at Twin Towns on the 19th March and they still ring it like a bell. Going back for another, front row centre on New Years Eve it was THAT good.
One of my most all time favourite Aussie artists!!! Saw him and Russell Morris perform at Shoppingtown Hotel in Doncaster, Victoria, Australia in or around 2009 - 'WOW' is all I can say!!!
The other song I really love from Brian Cadd ..... "Ginger Man". that's another of his songs i will never tire from.... plus many many more... He was Wonderful in 'Axiom'... ' A little ray of sunshine' comes to mind for right now! Glenn Shorrock and Brian Cadd's voice sounded idyllic l together... the voices complimented each other in many ways... They sound just as great together singing at their appearances now as they did back then. .... " Let go it ain't worth it if it hurts you... Let go you don't need it if ah she don't care... Like a good old wine or rock and roll if it feels real good let it move your soul, but if it hurts to say her name... Baby let go. xo 🔆❇⭐🔷🔺. 🆗
Ginger Man is a killer tune. A liitle ray of sunshine was my daughters special song. she was a special little girl who tragically passed away earlier this year. she touched a lot of peoples lives and we played the song as the centre piece at her funeral. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, and all of the many people in attendance agreed that the music and that song in particular turned a tragic event into a healing celebration of love and life.
I'm 68 years old , I remember . Axiom, Missippii , he's best mate Glenn Shorrock what a Superstar Caddie is songs music voice . Gav Walsh Cohuna Victoria

Real lyrics that have feeling and meanings. Love it.
The voice, the hair, the beard, what didn't this man possess? Love it and the 70s were simply the best decade for brilliant music and great times.
Caddy is the best Australian all off the music he has written
✔

It's amazing when you start listening to these songs your brain all of a sudden remembers all the words ! I just started singing along It's not lost is it? 😊
Makes me sad for those who missed out on the greatest decade of music in history. I was lucky, I lived it!!!
Maybe the greatest song ever written. Have loved this song for the majority of my 58 years of life.

best days. from 90s to now. rubbish music
None of this manufactured rubbish of today. Just raw talent back then. Their marketing was their ability to sing and entertain.
I can remember listening to this when I was 18. I’m now 65 and I still love this music so much. I consider myself so lucky to live when music was so great.
Ditto... on all counts 🥰
I've been seeing Brian Cadd and Thorpie, Mike Rudd, etc, etc since I was 15 and just love live music, always will. So many great musos...I'm 67 & still rocking!!!

What a phenomenal artist absolutely brilliant. Love Brian cadd
I came to Perth from UK in 1972 and discovered we had so many great bands/singers I'd never heard of before,
We can't possess anything in this life, even the body our soul temporarily lives in will be eliminated one day. Letting go of possessing is the hard lesson. But it's the most rewarding in the long run. Brian reminds us of that with this great song. A really wonderful musical memory from the 70's.
My equal favourite song from the early 70's along with Cat's " Father and Son". Magnificent to hear it again.
