Londo desperately asking Sheridan for whiskey so he can warn him, is heart breaking.
Was it Londo who noted the Regent was drinking, but he knew the Regent didn't drink, and he's already put it together how to temporarily free himself?

"he cultivated sobriety as his only vice", from memory, is what Londo said of the regent, I think.

That swell of music as the Whitestar looks at C&C is just beautiful.
With Lenier, he feels like a priest who breaks his vows in a moment of weakness, and while Bill Mumy disagrees with it, for me it's perfectly in character as Delenn has always been his 'berserk button'

12:55 We know what happens next. The story ends with Sheridan and Delenn in a Centauri prison cell, and Delenn assuring John that 'Our Son is Safe'. They meet Londo's Keeper, and G'kar strangles him to allow Mister and Missus 'Last Hope' to escape.

In the segment in "The Deconstruction of Falling Stars" involving the scholars, one of them says "and then there was the incident involving their son." The implication is that the incident was the work of the keeper sealed in the urn.

I think that story was in a Babylon 5 Book. I am not sure since I have not read them all.

This ending for Lennier was planned from the beginning, but nobody told Bill Mumy - who was bitter about it for years. He has since reconciled to the notion that it was good drama.

No. Bill asked JMS to ad the love aspect in. JMS said ok. But be careful what you wish for.

Lennier sacrificed part of his lung in disarming a toxic trap that would have killed Delenn and all the others in S4. Here, Sheridan is damaged by the coolant leak on this ship which could've been prevented if Lennier had hit the access panel.

I've talked with Bill Mumy about Lennier's action here, and we both feel that the Lennier's deserting of Sheridan is just *not* something that the character would have done. He might have turned his back on many things which would have been shocking to us (such as maybe something traitorous to the Rangers), but he would not turn his back on Delenn. And by this point in the story, he would not turn his back on Sheridan either, due to his loyalty to Delenn. At the time Bill objected to JMS about this scene, but JMS stuck with it.

I think the fact that Lennier would not do it is the point. Not that he was controlled or anyting. Its just he caught in his jealousy on the Delen and Sheridan relationship. All great men and women have moments where we can't believe what we did in a big moment. "Why would I do that?" And trying to make up for it for the rest of your life. In real life things happen, in a story they do not because the writer wants to make it a perfect ending.

@@dustinowens9552 - As I said, there are many ways Lennier could have broken a trust, but I don't think it would have been *this* trust. He's already faced hundreds of situations where he's said to himself "Do I honor Delenn's love for Sheridan, or do I try put my own feelings ahead of hers". After you are *faced* with that decision many times, you simply refuse to ask yourself the question the next situation where it comes up.
Lennier failing the Rangers would be something shocking to us, but it wouldn't be a situation he's faced many times before. He's always been confident that he would be loyal to the rangers, but when faced with a situation where he's *really* tempted to be disloyal (for whatever reason), it's something he would fall into because his loyalty has not been tested before. He still would have had permanent shame and remorse over his action.
I understand what JMS was going for with even "Great and Honorable Guys can make horrific decisions on the spur of the moment", but this isn't where Lennier would crack.

@@dustinowens9552 exactly. ALL of us end up doing something "that's not me" at some points in our lives. Delenn started a genocide. Is that in her nature? No, it's not something she would do. Yet, she did it.
