They actually read the instruction manual. 😂 that's how they stay ahead of schedule. Guys are like "I don't need no stinking instructions" then have to redo crap...😂😂😂😂😂
Awwww...ya knew....
I read the manual, watched every vid I could find, and googled the hell out of it. 1500 hand popped rivets in the cockpit and trunk alone
Hahaha so bloody true 👍
Nothing like having a good tech manual to refer to. 😎
Whatever dude! 😅
This was a brilliant promo for Factory Five. If 5 women can do it in 5 days, why can't you. I'd expect a huge bump in sales due to this little stunt.
Unlike myself, I just don't have the time, but hell yeah this was impressive
Key word, 5 of the best women in the business. LoL with my skills it would take 5 months!
A Cobra doesn´t need a stereo. The engine makes the music.
The best comment I ever heard, FCK yea
So glad to see ladies kicking ass and putting in the with. Car looked great from here.
I think they made their point 🤔 that given some friends to help and basic knowledge of tools anyone can build one. Good job ladies!
Great job , Girls. Job well done.
Thanks for sharing.
Got a chance to drive one of these here in the UK last week. So much fun.
Damn lucckkkkyyyyyyy lol. I would LOVE to enjoy one, maybe even own one one day.
@@dirtrider3526 cheers. I am making a video about the drive for my channel and should be ready soon. Hell of a car.
I bet that car radiated bald eagles on all of you guys!
Beautiful car, with way more handling and power than the original had.
That car was pre-built, and reassembled for the show.
It took me almost 2 years working 8 hour days to build one. And i had help.
My thoughts exactly. I own a MkIV and it's taken me almost a hundred hours to get to a rolling chassis. Most of that car was already assembled, disassembled, and then re-assembled for the show. Case example: when they take the brakes out of the box, it's already assembled to the hub, which it isn't from FFR or Wilwood.
I finished my MKIV a few months ago. It took me about 20 months. I did the body and paint myself. They left out a lot of work!!
5600 hours for a kit car?
So you’re saying this is an 18-minute long commercial for F5? Noo waaay….
Awesome build, talented team.
When you have EVERY STINKIN PART in front of you, and they are all NEW, the body's been pre-prepped and painted, a killer tool set, a lift, and 5 people that know what they are doing... Yeah, 5 days is possible.
Don't hate. You and 4 of your friends couldn't do it. If you could you wouldn't feel the need to be so negative.
I was thinking the same thing lol.
Outstanding work ladies.
this just ain't the same without Jessi Combs 😥
Thats a fact
What a great build!! Way to go Ladies!!
RIP Jessie Combs
I wish she could have been on this team! She brought the work of 3 people and the knowledge of 10 people.
Sick build good job ladies.🤙
Bring 'em a sammich Joe and make yourself really useful.
Yep a man's place is in the garage and in the kitchen.
And with today's technology we don't even need them in the bedroom
I would.
How about a bologna sandwich with a root beer
this would be a my dream build for sure!
Good team of talented car nuts - any other builds by them beside this 20 minute advert for something we'd all want to buy :)
Small minds amuse small things.
I was impressed that all the ladies knew how to ride stick shift. When I grew up everyone drove stick. Today I find guys in their 30's and 40's who can't drive stick.
I’m a total car nut and have been driving stick as soon as I could drive, the first car I ever drove had a manual trans. I’m only 17 and after being a car guy for so long I’ve spread influence in my school and now I know at least 4 or 5 people my age who have learned stick. Much better than zero!
Stick shifting is easy, over here in the UK 95% of drivers learn to shift.
I think I'm in love! Courtnie Provencher, the way she handles that car and owns the track! 🤘😍
For me it's the boobs.
Great episode! Hopefully after my wife watches this, she will show more interest in my car hobby!
Let's hope so!
AWESOME !! I would love to build one someday.....
So much beauty..
The ladies are alright too.
Good morning everyone
I've never been a fan of Coddington wheels. IMHO, the Halibrand replicas would have been a better choice, but then again, I'm more of a purist.
What was the cost of the kit as delivered?
They are disgusting like all od Boyd's deaigns
Awesome job ladies. That’s something I wouldn’t even try.
Great work ladies!
Worked on and driven 427 cobra kit(not factory five) true copy, way better to look at than drive.
7 years ago but still an amazing build by some talented WOMEN!! I wonder how the car is doing or what ever happened to it?!
7 years ago? So all these videos are old?
@@ironmanhulkbuster I guess so, not sure but this one is from 2014
They do put their newer videos here, about a week after they first show on TV, but they do put up a lot of their older videos too.
I own 2 original cobras 427 had them for yrs got pulled over on I 90 doing 130 mph I knew the trooper here in Montana
Had my FF 65 392 windsor at 135 on I90 in Illinois and had to lift. Front end became so light I was a bit concerned she was gonna flip. They sure can use some help with downforce. She had plenty more rpm to go too. Pullin hard!
I wish this school was at the factory five factory in Massachusetts . Then I could drive there and I would go to it .
I believe a Factory 5 Mk4 kit is in my not too distant future. In fact I'm thinking by the end of the month I will place my order
AC Cobra is ACTUALLY an English Sport Car.. Started off as an AC Ace then Cobra then they were transported to America and Carol Shelby put a different engine in one so was called an AC "Shelby-Cobra" due to him adding a different engine, but it's a BRITISH Sport Car 👍😎🏴🇬🇧
Yes, and the AC Ace was a tribute to the beautiful cars from Ferrari of the era. So the Cobra replicas are a tribute to a tribute to a tribute.
@@davidporeilly1No that's not how it works fella. The AC was an original Car design. NOT a Copy! Nothing like a Ferrari either.. The Shelby Was a British AC Car that was modified with an American V8 Engine. The British Cars of the Era were Phenomenally beautiful and Nothing like Italian Cars.. the E-Type Jag was the best looking car of the era possibly of ALL time! So what you're saying it utter rubbish fella
@AB-C1 I'll link a video that will explain it to you. I can't paste the title so search for.
The Shady History of Shelby Cobra Replicas.
Enjoy your learning experience.
Jessi Combs would have loved this.
Jessie would’ve said ‘hold my beer’ and built her own kit in the same time frame
Cobra's have curves, but I lked the curves and smiles of the build crew better.
Crazy that was all done in 5 days?? 😲👍👍
It's possible to do if the body has already been fitted & painted, if you have all the right tools including a lift, and if you have a coach there if you get stuck. I also noticed some sub-assemblies have been put together, for example, out of the box came a brake caliper, rotor, and spindle all in one piece. The kit does not come like that. Almost assuredly the car was partially mocked up, disassembled, and shipped.
Building one of these should be in every petrolheads bucket list.
Man, that would be rough assignment, watching 5 beautiful women building such an awesome car. Sign me up.
So the finished kit car probably ran over $100,000. .More than 5 days just to prep and paint the the body. Big start.
When you can have every part and tool ready at one time makes a big difference.
Excellent project and to be honest very happy to see the woman crew...come on Powernation lets see some woman on staff...
Muchas Felicidades Joven Por Su Canal.
Saludos Cordiales Desde Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México. ..
I want to build a Cobra with an LS engine. Perfect!!!!!
Very magical how no parts were missing, and everything went together perfectly. Why these advertisement shows are going away….
well done car by a good team.
Nice 👍
its refreshing to hear you mention ac cars ,not just 'shelby'....they rarely get the credit 'for making it happen' this side of the pond.....
Love women for what they are stop trying to be equal to us ur equal in ur own right
My favorite episode
yep..watch out for that fire wall and proper heat protection..it's for sure one of the most important thing when 'building' such car...it's even more important for closed cockpits..,it could ruin the entire pleasure of owning such a car and degrade precious wires and tubing..'heat control' is a must and has to be well thought of. ,ride comfort and sound if it's not just a track toy..!..dynamat/boom mat and other heat shields..extra manual extractor fans are not a luxury also ,especially when stuck in traffic...it will add reliability ,better performance and pleasure of driving..
Such a cool car
Very cool!! 👍👍👍
Where is the footage of the lady's doing the body work? or the actual wiring, or any of the time consuming detail work. How much is the mostly finished kit they are building?
Mine has a 20B turbo running on CNG. 1000hp at the fly.
These two guys are my fav. Seem less fake than the rest.
I want to see all the behind the scenes for this project
Nice....go girls!
Very cool, Ladies. Well done.
The modern 32 Ford would probably be the something like the Fox Body, E30, or 240SX.
Nice build ladies. Yall done good.
Dang after some googling, but first I thought that was Boyd Coddington s daughter, even after the close ups, that lady has got it going on!
Good job ladies. 👍🏿 Dudes trying to slide in ladies DM😂😂
The cobra was a British car with an American motor.......the corvette is America's sports car
Yeah it’s an AC Ace/Bristol
Jo looking sooooo good.
Hello from Uzbekistan
Super cool video!
dang...well done ladies! I'm seriously considering building one.
Wait so this was built in 2014. Man that's over 7 years ago
Yeah that’s what I thought too! It was just recently posted but the engine plaque said 2014 and I was surprised!
Power nation defeated sexism in the shop 7 years ago and the feminists still wanna cry inequality
Love you powernation
Best ever!
Good stuff!
Молодцы девочки 👭 👭 отличная машина получилась
Love it!!
I love the valve covers on this Windsor engine. Looks to be a new design, reminds me of a Cobra valve cover for an FE engine?
I had to roll back the video to find out. I guess that is a Windsor as the intake manifold stops at the lead edge of the valve cover where on an FE, the intake is part of the valve cover flange. I've been building Fords for 40 years and I have never been able to get my head around the whole "stroking" for more cubic inches. From everything I've learned about building my Fords over the years, the more you bore it and stroke it out, the more reliability/durability you sacrifice. I guess the tech is there now but for my money, if you want big cubes, you start with big cubes. The 385 series engines are my usual "go to" when building the old 70's trucks while I head straight for the Cleveland when dealing with cars. Also, very few of my builds include automatics. There's nothing like rowing through the gears in a car/truck with a 400 (or so) horsepower 429 in it. Just my opinion.
What’s better the motor in this car or a PME R7 NASCAR motor just saying 😮
YESSS 👍🏼
I prefer their Daytona replica because that thing just looks like a hybrid between a Porsche an a classic muscle car and looks and drives better than a gt40
Awesome team . And ? The pure chick build has GOTTA add value 😎
What a show
Always wanted to build a kit car, my choice would be the Lancia Stratos replica kit
You and me both, the problem is they're designed around having easy access to pull 20 year old Lancia and Alfa, etc. window regulators and door latches out of a junkyard because they're made in the UK, and I'm in Canada and have next to no access to those parts.
She ain’t kidding about the working together. If you had that many men in the same room to work on that car, we’d spend 5 hours deciding where to start before we even consider looking at the instructions, that is if we didn’t burn them first.
Girls got skills
Yea shure.. thanks for touching everything after the guys assembled it 👍🏻
men built 90% of that car. The engine assembly. The paint & bodywork. The cad designed kit. The wheels... Hell it was delivered by a dude in a big rig.
They bolted parts together. When they did that. They were slamming threads installing the rear-end lol.
@@I_like_turtles_67 good god...
@@matt928 What? LOL
I am not the only person here that pointed out this fact. I've known women that can work on cars. But this was just pandering female power.
Last mama on the test drive shoulda made some sacrificial smoke and toasted those big hoops to obivian. He'll yeah. Hey whose Jo hooked up with now. Still looks fine!!!
14.00 she was "so excited like a baby crying"? Red Flag!!!
RIP Carroll & Boyd
Yeah buddy
Love it want more of it.
Tommy ? Tommy who?
Lololol yeeeehooo
THESE are the women we NEED in the automotive industry. Not whiners and girls who are afraid to get their hands dirty. But these!
BAD ASS nice job LADIES
Well done, what would a build like that cost?
Hell Yeah!!!
good job
Sundayyyy.... Sundayyy at Amphetamine Speedway...
That's where I heard that voice.:)
2:10 - "Yeah man that's gonna feel weird for sure, today we're turning the job over to an all-woman build crew."
Better not let anyone know a bunch of broads built it..
Good luck trying to sell it..
@@skibootdier9488 I am sure some tech inspectors gave it a final look. 🤔
i love it ........we need more women in the field fo sho!
Saweeeeeeet!
Nice job
"I think women are more comfortable working together..."
😂😂😂😂😂😂
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Those wheels are ghetto-fabulous.
So virtuous
I like everything they did except for the use of the locktite. It should have been a bigger, thicker bead.
I wonder how much the total thing cost with the kit plus all of the extras like the engine, etc.
