Anybody can do the manual idle relearn at home. If they are replacing their alternator they can figure out how to complete the idle relearn procedure.

Can you explain why disconnecting the battery messes up idle memory? I’ve disconnected my battery on my rav to reset a gas cap code and never had issues with stalls.

Because throttle is electrical it will loose its idle position

Yes I do explain that however DIYrs at home wouldn’t know why their car stall out once they do that cuz loss of idle memory
