I recently purchased the 1080p i7 version and this video was fantastic for me! Thank you! I feel that it will be great using as a student in early childhood education and as a parent who likes to make visual schedules and cards. Great job! 😊
using it for a week, i really like it even though it's a laptop from last year. everything's great except for loud fan noise that makes me worried sometimes but like. doesn't interfere with actual use.
Could you do a test with an eGPU test with this laptop? I am considering getting this laptop for use with an external monitor and eGPU for gaming and blender work.
@@notjason880 is it hot-pluggable? can you just remove the egpu TB3 cable and go with your day, or do you need to do restart/turn on/off something in the device manager, etc?
So is the fan vent on the underside of the laptop or behind the grill hinge? If on the underside, how do you keep this laptop on your lap, when running CPU intensive apps?
I know this is an odd question for a laptop review.. but why the Aftershock XB1 controller for games testing on it? In your last video I saw you had a proper oem xb1 controller and sn30pro +, both of which i think are much better than that one. Intel is making some solid gains in their integrated gpu! Looks like their headhunting for talent from the top of Nvidia and AMD has paid off for them. Looking forward to them introducing something in the discrete GPU market though. Nvidia needs all the competition it can get, as things have gotten quite out of hand this generation there.
Helpful video. As a Google Pixelbook owner which always stays cool with no vents on the bottom, are all these windows 2&1 not meant to be used sitting on the couch on your lap in clamshell mode? I always put a cover on me at nigh when relaxing, my Google Pixelbook sits on my lap on top of the cover, and I'm concerned about the impact to the fans when sitting like most people do when relaxing on the couch.
Keith Ian I use it on my lap all the time - while it does get warm it doesn’t get uncomfortably hot unless you’re doing heavy duty work or charging it while you use it. Not perfect but quite useable.
Lenovo seems or appears to be avoiding the Nvidia MX250, MX350 and the MX450 dedicated Gpu's which really move up and beyond what they have in the Lenovo C940's. Suffice to say, the sticker prices on these should provide some options although my biggest issues relate to the limited options Lenovo provides assuming they are not "OUT OF STOCK" or no longer available versions.
I wish they had a 1800x3200 screen, because you get around 265 ppi which is very sharp on tablet and laptop mode, and you save a bit more money and battery life
Bob Smith no hp Spectre has oled I have it crushes the yoga, I admit the trackpad isn’t the best but I use a mouse . Oled is just the best picture quality
I'm probably going to go with the c940 because Im going with a fhd display, and the c940 seems like the better laptop when comparing the fhd configurations for both models. C940 also has a 12gb ram option for a nice price right now, so I'm prob going for that.
Don't want to sound like a hater but the Lenovo has no SD Card reader built in, and just not enough I/O ports... I plan to use it for content creation/art work.
@@xk4l1br3 You can change the power settings with Fn+Q. The Cool and silent (9 watt for the CPU) mode i nothing for gaming. The normal mode (15W for the CPU) gets up to 66 degrees on my laptop. The performance mode on the other side gets hotter and up to 90s degrees. Therefore you have 25W on the CPU.
how long does lenova support the laptop. I ask because I bought a lenova yoga pro 2 tablet 2 years ago and pokimon gomdoesnt work on it any more. very disappointed in lenova updates and will only consider this if they give me a 5 year software guarantee.
People that want the Dell Webcam IR and Killswitch...are idiots. Face Recognition is easily fooled and that digital killswitch is shit. It's not hard to bypass. Physical cover and a fingerprint reader are the most secure you can get.
Damn. I was just going to order this laptop until you mentioned it can't dualboot Linux. My sole purpose is to run Linux on it. Is that common for Lenovo laptops? Sounds very strange
Before buying any Lenovo product- be aware and be prepared for the worst customer experience of your life. The service we have received from Lenovo Africa has been disgusting, the lack of customer care, their attitude towards a warranty claim (screen malfunctioning), and general attitude of all parties involved is disgusting to say the least. I would strongly advise anyone considering any Lenovo Product think again, and look elsewhere.
Ryan Mataczynski so the laptop is great overall. My only issue with it is that the fan comes on a lot and that’s even with it on the cool and quiet setting. Idk if the computer just has too powerful of specs for itself or something but other than that it’s been a really good laptop. Great battery life, outstanding quality, amazing sound quality and it’s EXTREMELY fast to turn on and off from shutting it down
Are you crazy? That laptop has a high pitch whine that is very annoying and not present in any other laptop. I have been kicked out of rooms because of it.
@@HeadPack I'm hoping to start a TH-cam channel soon .. And it will be better on my eyes than looking at this little phone .. They don't make these cheap phones big enough for big hands .. So it makes it more difficult to do emails and stuff ..

Hi, What about performance for coding and connect big display monitors through USB C port? Thanks
Love the hinge/speaker design
Just bought it. I am a singer and let me tell you it has a crazy satisfying speaker for a laptop, you will LOVE IT😍
Is it good for music production?
@@ManjariOfficial yes I think so but would go with the bigger 15 inch for music production
I think I'm over using my laptop as my tablet as well. I don't mind having a high end laptop and a decent tablet separately.
A laptop is just too heavy to use as a tablet. After 20 minutes or so, it feels like my wrists are about to break.
Thanks I didn't know About the camera feature until u showed me already had it for a week used everyday

Do a review of ideapad s540 too!
How does it look when you are writing on a 1080 p display can you really see pixels and is it annoying?
